Getting in deep was just the beginning...

Hey, hey, reader friends! I am thrilled to be part of Liliana Hart's super-sexy new MacKenzie world series. Visiting Surrender has never been so hot. And I'm even more excited to let you know that DEEP TROUBLE is the prequel novella to my sizzling new Station Seventeen series that will debut in September 2016.

If you like your sneak peek at Kellan and Isabella at the end of this book, you're in the right place. But grab a nice, cold drink. It's about to get very, very hot in here...

Happy reading!

After inhaling this novella I can say with absolute certainty that you better take a deep breath before you start this book because that's the last one you will take for a while. The action kicks of straight away and grabs a hold of you and doesn't let go till the end. And you will love every second of it.

Kimberly Kincaid has written a story that will suck you in and have you glued to the pages from the get go and have you falling head over heels for the main characters in Devon and Kylie as well as the secondary ones in Kylie’s brother Kellan.

I loved Devon and Kylie. How could you not fall for the returned hero Ranger who is willing to drop everything to help a friend and the feisty bartender who was in the wrong place at the wrong time and now has a target on her back? Together these two make a hell of a team as they fight to get to safety.

They also have undeniable chemistry that’s not just the adrenaline rush of running for their lives. Devon and Kylie fit, there is no better way to describe it. And when they realise this……hot, hot, hot.

“He might not be worthy of her outside this room, but he knew how to make her feel alive. For just a little while, Devon could keep her safe and help her forget. He could give her what she needed.”

As they flee across the country from the killer that has them both in his sights, they see that sometimes a connection can be made no matter the trouble you’re in and maybe that connection is worth fighting for.

“I don’t just trust you, Devon. I need you. No matter what happened in the past, or what happens after today, I only need you.”

This is yet another example of why Kimberly Kincaid is an auto buy author for me. She has given us a small glimpse into her upcoming series with this fast paced novella and I for one can’t wait for the next story with the debut of the sexy firefighters of Station Seventeen, including one sexy brother Kellan from Deep Trouble.

Now onto the next MacKenzie novella and what I suspect might become my new addiction.

I received a copy of this novella from the author for an honest review.

Hot novella about Kylie Walker and Devon Randolph. She accidentally witnesses a murder, and because the killer is a well-connected criminal, needs to go on the run to stay alive. Her brother calls in a favor from his good friend and former fellow soldier.

Deep Trouble is a fast moving, exciting story. Kimberly Kincaid does a great job with characterization and plotting, and I couldn’t stop turning the pages. Intended as an introduction to the Station Seventeen series by Kimberly Kincaid and an intersection with the MacKenzie Family series by Liliana Hart, Deep Trouble satisfies.

This book started right from the first sentence and kept on running. I really enjoyed Kylie. She was really strong considering everything that was going on. I loved Devon! He took charge of the situation, didn't hesitate at any point, and was really sweet and tender with Kylie when he needed to be. The two together had some really great chemistry. What brought this down to a 3 star for me was the ending. I really can't stand abrupt endings and this one felt like that. The book flowed really good then all of a sudden it feels like it was an oh crap, this is a novella and I have to end this, so lets hurry and throw in a really quick ending to wrap it up. Totally killed it for me at that point.

It was a good introduction to an upcoming series and I enjoyed it. Lots of action a hero I really liked and a heroine that didn't do anything TSTL. I also really liked that Kellan didn't have the really annoying yet typical "That's my little sister - let me be an Alpha jerk about you seeing her" reaction that a lot of books have. Kellan was the big brother we all want to have. There were a few things that made me go huh? but overall I enjoyed this short romantic suspense. It was a bit instant but a book this short almost always has to be. Definitely good enough that I can see myself reading more in the upcoming series.

I read this book the first time in early 2019. She has revamped it a bit so I get to read it again!

I just finished it now and loved it. I loved getting to revisit Kellan and Isabella before they figured their romance out!

Devon and Kylie were SMOKIN! You would think finding love while on the run from a very nasty criminal couldn’t last but that’s not KK’s style lol

This novella and prequel to the whole Station 17 universe was fun to revisit and so yummy!

A case of wrong place, wrong time sends bartender Kylie Walker on the run when she witnesses the murder of her boss. But there is no place for Kylie to hide because the killer is a drug dealer with connections even in law enforcement and her only option is to flee to safety with her brother across the country but she will need help to get there.

Devon Randolph owes his life to Kellan Walker and would do anything to repay that debt so stepping in to provide protection to his friend's sister is no big deal but only one look at Kylie and his determination to keep her safe ceases to be about his debt to his buddy and becomes about how she makes him feel.

I love me some action and DEEP TROUBLE delivers that right from the first page, but it also shows that lasting connections can be made in adrenaline-infused situations and that danger is the biggest motivation to grab hold of happiness. Kylie and Devon had great chemistry and the time spent together on the run only served to heighten their bond.

DEEP TROUBLE is fast, action-laden and hot, and a great prequel to Ms. Kincaid's upcoming series. I can't wait for Kellan's story.

Forced on the run after Kylie witnesses her boss being murdered she gets hold of her brother for help. He is to far away so he calls Devon for help. Devon goes to help and realises Kylie is in deep trouble. Devon has demons in his past that he still deals with. Kylie works on Devon to open up to her as they are on the run. I loved how Devon takes care of her. This book has action, suspense, and hotness in the sheets. All around a great book. Would I recommend this book? YES

This is such a fun idea. Liliana Hart has invited five authors to have a go at some new characters in her MacKenzie Family Series. This is the novella by Kimberly Kincaid and I loved it. There was fast paced action from page one and some seriously hot romance too. It helped so much that I liked Kylie and could relate to her while Devon was the perfect sexy hero. A lot of fun packed into a quick read.

This novella hits the gas pedal on page 1 and doesn't let up until the very last page! It was a great fast paced hot little read that I didn't put down.

Kylie prides herself on being self-sufficient, but when she witnesses her boss being murdered and manages to escape from the man who pulled the trigger, she knows she needs help to make it out of this alive and reaches out to her brother Kellan. Halfway across the country, he asks his friend and fellow Army Ranger brother Devon to get to her quickly. Fortunately Devon is in the area working for MacKenzie Security and wastes no time finding her.

Kylie and Devon met years ago when he came home with Kellan while they were on leave together, and although she recognizes him, the hardened edges he has gained since then make him a different man altogether. He is scary, hot and scary hot all at the same time. Devon still blames himself for a near miss moment that endangered their whole team overseas, and adding in the fact that Kylie is the sister of one of his best friends, he is battling some serious guilt and distraction issues all at the same time. He certainly noticed Kylie in the past, and being in close proximity while racing cross country to escape a murderer hell bent on tying up a loose end in the form of Kylie still drawing breath is doing nothing to diminish the attraction - especially as she reacts with strength and sarcastic humor in every sticky situation. Extreme situations only intensify existing feelings and it doesn't take long before the heat between them is at a boiling point.

Deep Trouble was a whole lot of fun, action, and heat packed into a novella and I found myself immediately wishing for more as soon as I finished the last page. It looks like big brother Kellan will be getting his own story and I can't wait to read it. In the meantime, grab yourself a copy of Deep Trouble and enjoy the ride!

Loved it. A real page turner. So much excitement.

When Kylie Walker walks in on something downstairs at the bar she's working. So Not good. The only thing she thinks is call her brother Kellan. The last thing she expects is a big tall guy manhandling her. He gives her a secret code, and she learns her brother sent him.

The call Devon Randolph gets from his best bud Kellan Walker shocks the heck out of him. He'll do anything for him. He races to find his sister to protect her from a well known killer. She already witnessed first hand what he can do.

While Devon and Kylie are waiting for back from her brother. The thing is there running for there lives. Devon will do whatever it takes to keep her sad.
Maybe it's adrenaline maybe not. But Kylie knows she wants Devon. Now!
Devon knows Kylie is Kellan's little sister and she is totally off limits. Heat stirs inside of him, and she feels the same way.

Highly recommend reading. This is an Introduction to Kellan and Isabella. Watch out for there book in September. Skin Deep 1st in Station Seventeen Series.

I had an opportunity to read this Advanced Copy thanks to Kimberly Kincaid and the publisher.

I love that this book has it all in a short amount of pages. You get a love story, some mystery, heartache, a serious conflict and a conclusion. AND, you can read it in one sitting.

This story focuses on Kylie and Devon. Kylie is a witness to a horrific crime and calls upon her brother to help. However, he is all the away across the country and can't be there in time. So he calls up his old military buddy Devon to step in and help.

Kylie and Devon had great chemistry from the start and it only heated up as the story went on. The action puts them in situations where they can't contain the heat, and thank goodness, they don't want to!

It can be read as a standalone, but you get to meet Kylie's brother, who I am guessing will have a book out soon! Yay! Maybe then we will catch up with Devon and Kylie and hear how they are doing!

Fast and furious, Sexy and Sweet!!!
This book was AWESOME!!! I love Kimberly's writing style and the flow in which she spins a tale. You get lost in the book and find yourself needing a shower and food afterward just to get you energy back that you exhausted with this edge of your seat right of a lifetime.
Running from the bad guys has never been this sexy or fun. As with the other debut novella in the MacKenzie Family World, this book has all the elements of a great book. Great story, Kick ass characters and a plot that is feesible and realistic. Our Hero is just a guy who feels unworthy and our Herione is a fly by the seat of your pants kind of girl, and they end up doing just that and in more than one was, if you know what I mean (wink).
Well done Ms. Kincaid, love this book.

Kylie Walker was just trying to do her job as a waitress when she went into the basement for napkins. Little did she know she would be witnessing her boss's murder. She's on the run from the killer when she calls her brother for help. He's on the other side of the country so he contacts his good ex-Army Ranger friend Devon, who happens to be near by. Devon is a security specialist who knows what he's doing. They try to stay one step ahead of a well connected killer as the head cross country to reunite Kylie with her brother. This novella had me on the edge of my seat with the action and trying to determine who was a good guy and who was a bad guy. I loved the set up for the new Station Seventeen series. I would highly recommend this novella to anyone.

I also enjoy Ms. Kincaid books, this book was another BIG HIT.

This book starts off with action, Kylie watches her Boss get killed. The Killers come after her and she calls her Brother for help. Well her brother is to far away to help right away, so he sends in Devon who is a former Army Ranger he also works for the Mackenzie's as a security specialist.

Well lets just say between Devon and Kylie there is so much sparks between them, it will heat up your kindle.

There is action and suspense and even though this book is not that long, it packs a very powerful punch.

I wish I could give this book more then five stars, it was that good....... It keeps you hooked from the first page till the last.

I really liked this one...from the very beginning it was balls to the walls. Even with have the MacKanzie's only mentioned in passing this story stood on it's own which I loved. This book had what I felt was missing in Delta: Rescue.

Devon we have seen in Trouble Maker and even in that book he caught my eye so I am so glad that someone wrote his story. Kylie was also an amazing character and such a strong willed person too...the things she witnessed and went through in this would have been hard for anyone but she took everything in stride.
I am also looking forward to Kellan having a book which I saw at the end was coming in September, I will definitely be picking up that book by Kimberly Kincaid when it drops.

Get ready for the ride of your life, with the car ride of Devon and Kylie as they try to escape from being killed. Kylie has witnessed a murder , so she calls her brother, who is an ex army ranger, he is thousands a miles away so he calls in a favor to his buddy Devon, who is also an ex army ranger. As they face the danger, there soon is a sexual attraction the they can not deny or fight off.

You will inhale this short book and only want more. Plenty of romance and danger that will keep you turning the pages until the end. I highly recommend this book.

Despite it being a novella, it as packed full of action. From the start to the end, I was totally sucked into the story. The chemistry between Kylie and Devon was really hot and I could just feel the sparks flying off the book. Great work by Kimberly Kincaid and I can't wait for the Station Seventeen series.

Deep trouble
By: Kimberly Kincaid

Baby sisters are off limits, Right?

📚💕⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💕📚

Baby sisters are off limits, Right? In another emotional book from one of my first and favorite authors we all get Deep trouble. Devon is helping his best friends little sister Kylie. He owes him his life as he saved Devon’s life so he’ll do anything to honor the debt. This book is fast paced and impactful pretty much from the beginning. The authors writing is flawless and the words are so captivating, the plot had so many twists and turns and none that I was expecting, and many shockingly intimate I have become a huge fan of this author. The author writes with so much intensity and emotion pulled from each book it’s felt page after page. Some are quick witted story lines are so perfect and lets you believe you have a front row seat. So being able to read this love story didn’t disappoint. The authors ability to have two separate individuals struggling in their everyday life and try to navigate someone else’s thoughts, needs and desires was intense and gives all the fills.

Authors blurb: Her brother saved his life. Now he must save hers, no matter the cost...
Bartender Kylie Walker went into the basement of The Corner Tavern for a box of cocktail napkins, but what she got was an eyeful of murder. Now she’s on the run from a killer with connections, and one wrong step could be her last.
Desperate to stay safe, Kylie calls the only person she trusts—her ex-Army Ranger brother.
The only problem? He’s two thousand miles away, and trouble is right outside her door.
Security specialist Devon Randolph might be rough and gruff, but he’ll never turn down a friend in need, especially when that friend is the fellow Ranger who once saved his life.
Devon may have secrets, but he’s nearby, and he’s got the skills to keep his buddy’s sister safe…even if one look at brash, beautiful, Kylie makes him want to break all the rules.
Forced on the run, Kylie and Devon dodge bullets and bad guys, but they cannot fight the attraction burning between them. Yet the closer they grow, the higher the stakes become. Will they be able to outrun a brutal killer? Or will Devon’s secrets tear them apart first?

This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in dual POV this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know you’re 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.

I absolutely loved Deep Trouble by Kimberly Kincaid! I was hooked from the first few pages, I loved every moment on every page of Deep Trouble, and it was impossible to put it down. Deep Trouble is the first book in her Station Seventeen series. I really enjoy how the book is told from the perspective of the main characters. I love getting the insight and feelings from the different characters. Once again Kimberly Kincaid has shown that she is an incredible storyteller, and she continues to be one of my favorite authors. Deep Trouble is the heartwarming and heartbreaking tale of Devon Randolph, works in freelancing private security and Kylie Walker, bartender at Corner’s Tavern Bar in Coyote Flats, Wyoming. Kylie witnesses the murder of her boss Vince, by Xavier Fagan, the X Man. She is able to escape and runs away from Xavier, not before Xavier reveals all the different levels of police that he has on his payroll. Since Kylie cannot trust the local police, she calls her brother Kellan for help. Kellan reaches out to Devon a former fellow Ranger to help Kylie until he can get to her from Remington, North Carolina. When Devon gets to the motel where Kylie is staying, they quickly come under fire. Devon convinces Kellan to stay put and he will drive Kylie cross country. As Kylie and Devon travel cross country things begin to change between them. I love everything they do together as they try to avoid Xavier. Kellan requested help from the Isabella Moreno from the Remington Intelligence Unit. Surprise plot twists put Kylie’s and Devon’s lives in jeopardy. I love how the plot twist gets resolved. I love how Kylie and Devon’s relationship changes throughout the story. Deep Trouble is filled with the plot twists that I have come to love and expect in Kimberly Kincaid's stories. I love ending of Kylie and Devon’s love story, and how they both change because of their love for one another and the changes that they are willing to make to have a life together. I love that it was the perfect ending to their love story. I love the cast of characters in Deep Trouble; I enjoyed the interactions among the characters in the book. It feels like real family love and makes me laugh at their teasing. It was a wonderful story, and I highly recommend it. Received an advanced copy from the author.

Kimberly Kincaid clearly woke up and chose violence, because Deep Trouble does not warm up, stretch, or ask if you’re ready. It grabs you by the collar on page one and sprints. I opened this thinking, Cute little novella before bed, and instead found myself breathless, stressed, and deeply regretting the lack of snacks within arm’s reach.

Enter Kylie Walker, bartender, wrong place, very wrong time. And Devon Randolph, former Army Ranger, walking shield of competence, and the exact man you want showing up when everything goes sideways. Kylie witnesses something horrific, makes one phone call, and suddenly Devon is in her orbit, sent by her brother with one job: get her out alive. Simple plan. Zero complications. Except for feelings, explosive chemistry, and a killer who does not know when to quit.

The suspense is tight and relentless. This story does not stroll, it runs. Every chapter pushes you forward with no room to breathe, and the danger never lets up. They’re constantly on the move, the stakes are high, and the tension stays razor sharp. Somehow, Kincaid still manages to weave in emotional depth and scorching romance without slowing the pace, which is honestly impressive.

Devon and Kylie just work. Their connection isn’t only fueled by adrenaline or forced proximity, it’s built on trust forged under fire. Devon is all quiet intensity and unshakable protectiveness. Kylie is fierce, resilient, and refuses to be a bystander in her own survival. When they finally give in to what’s been simmering between them, it’s undeniably hot and completely earned.

Bottom line: Deep Trouble delivers everything you want in a romantic suspense novella—danger, heart, heat, and characters you immediately care about—all in one breathless ride. If you like capable heroes, strong heroines, and romance wrapped in high-stakes chaos, this one is absolutely worth your time. Kimberly Kincaid remains an auto-read, and this novella proves she doesn’t need hundreds of pages to leave a lasting impression.

A great prequel

How do you get a prequel to be swoony, spicy, intense, and have big feels? Let Kimberly Kincaid write it. This brother’s best friend, damsel in distress, wounded hero prequel packs a lot into 115 pages. Every word kept me enthralled and quickly turning the pages to find out what happens next. Kylie is a bartender and chef. While working at a hole in the wall bar in the middle of nowhere she witnesses her boss get murdered. She calls her brother, Kellan, for help. Devon is a former Army Ranger who now works private security but served with Kellan. Since Devon is physically closer to Kylie, Kellan asks him to help Kylie until Kellan can get to her. Thus begins the cross country trek to avoid the bad guy and keep Kylie safe while trying to not act on the attraction buzzing between them. Of course, their chemistry sizzled off the page and it pulled them together no matter how hard they tried to resist. Despite being short, this intense prequel was well written and included three dimensional characters and a captivating storyline. Of course, now I need Kellen’s story next. 4.5 stars.

Deep trouble, a MacKenzie Family novella by Kimberly Kincaid, is a case of wrong place, wrong time. Bartender Kylie Walker ends up on the run after witnessing the murder of her boss. When Kylie discovers there’s nowhere to hide because the drug dealer killer, with connections in law enforcement will hunt her down, her only option is to flee. Devon Randolph owes his life to Kellan Walker and would do anything to repay that debt. Providing protection for his friend's sister is no big deal, but it only takes one look at Kylie and his determination to keep her safe no longer is about his debt to his buddy but because of the connection he makes with her. The magnetic attraction and off-the-charts sizzling chemistry between these two is amazing.

Deep Trouble delivers action, suspense, and heat between the sheets, while also showing that lasting connections can be made in adrenaline-infused situations and that danger is the biggest motivation to grab hold of happiness. Kylie and Devon had amazing chemistry and the time spent together on the run only served to heighten their bond.

This is a rewrite of a book that was first published in 2016 but there is enough change that you can easily read it again

If you love a story that keeps your heart racing—both from the danger and the chemistry—this is it. The story kicks off immediately when Kylie witnesses her boss’s murder, thrusting her into a terrifying game of cat and mouse. When her brother can’t get to her, he sends Devon a friend from his ranger past, and from the moment he enters the frame, the tension is off the charts. Devon is the ultimate "alpha with a heart." He’s protective, capable, and exactly who you’d want in your corner during a crisis he just thinks he isn't good enough for Kylie. Watching him take care of Kylie while they were on the run was easily my favorite part. Their emotional connection felt as real as the danger they were facing as she works to make him realise just how good he is.

This book is the perfect blend of action, suspense, and steam. If you enjoy "forced proximity" or "protector" tropes, do yourself a favor and pick this up. I couldn't put it down!

OMG, talk about making you sit on the edge of your seat, holding your breath and having your stomach in knots right from the start. Ms. Kincaid does not give you a second to catch your breath before she throws you another dramatic and dangerous situation. Murder, on the run for your life and then she adds in a hot and sexy protector and you have yourself a gripping and must-read suspense-filled novella.
Kylie and Devon are on the run from a drug kingpin and murderer who wants Kylie dead because she was a witness to her boss's murder. Devon is the retired Ranger and her brother's friend. Was it the adrenaline or was it the pull that had the sparks turn into a full-blaze fire? The chemistry between them was just too strong to ignore. As I turned the pages, Ms. Kincaid threw in a couple of twists and turns, which had this novella packing a lot in, with its fast-paced but thoroughly enjoyable story.

I loved this brother’s-best-friend romance and wish it was longer. Devon is called on by his best friend to help get her out of a sticky situation. He feels like he is responsible for a mission gone bad, so he meets Kylie until her brother can get to her. Kylie is working at a less than perfect bar and when she goes to get supplies sees something she shouldn’t. She gets away, but someone is after her.

While in the run, the chemistry between them is scorching she he tries to honor the best friend code, but they both realize that things might not go as they hope. He knows he will do anything and everything to keep her alive, but he also knows that life doesn’t always work out.

This was a fast moving, action packed novella and I wanted more. It was the perfect setup to a new series. I can’t wait to see what happens with the rest of the series. I received an ARC and this is my honest, voluntary review.
