This is the issue where things really, really get interesting. Kyle starts to face a darkness that seems to be stronger than them, stronger than the light and power of exorcism.

I am also excited on how the relationship of these two protagonists develop in the story. They are clearly the underdog in this good versus evil battle. I am rooting for them though.

Outcast is now shaping up to be a horror series (without zombies) that we deserve to read.

Woooow! Esto se pone bueno y más bueno.

Kyle continua tratando de obtener respuestas y todo pareciera un callejón sin salida en cuanto al amigo de Luke pero, who knows?

Y ese final, con ese tipo raro, uhhmm...

As Kyle and Reverend Anderson travel further into this world, the true nature of things starts to reveal itself, and it's more terrifying than they could have imagined.

The front cover really says it all. Luke Masters invited Kyle and Reverend Anderson into a whole new side of the world that they know so little about. Pounding fights, blood over the face and hands, holy water and beating up a prisoner handcuffed to a table are just the highlights. There is so much to this issue. Kyle and the Reverend are finding out more and more facts about whats going on with Kyle and the fight against the possessed. Have they gone to far this time? Only time will tell in this series... And again... really, what is up with that man in the shadows... now he is stalking Kyle and the Reverend?

Just when I thought we were going to get more back story and nothing major was going to happen... BOOM! From page 1 you are rocketed into Luke Masters' nightmare. His best friend has been locked up for killing his wife and if Paul Azaceta's artist skill of creepy possessed faces isn't enough for you on page 1 keep turning.

If you've read my other 4 reviews on the Outcast series, I don't need to tell you just how much I love this team! They have certainly pulled out all the stops, skills, techniques, favors, prayers, crosses, and equipment to pull off another fantastic issue. Something I haven't mentioned yet, and I regret that I didn't sooner, but I really love the framework of Outcast. Many of the pages have a small blocked frame inside a larger one. This smaller block doesn't have a huge outline, simply a black line, but its the value of the placement in each that really help add that little extra flair to the story line that makes Outcast unique to me. I'm sure other comics have used the same technique, but in the hands of Paul Azaceta's attention to detail it really serves the story line in place of words. For example: In this issue you see Reverend Anderson spray holy water on Blake. You see this is a large frame, but what you don't see in that large frame is how is hit his face and where, and what reaction if any Blake had. By the additional smaller blocks however you do. It also doesn't take up the whole bottom of the rest of the page to show all this. By placing those smaller blocks, you not only get additional information but another viewpoint.

I know I am fairly new to comics. Don't get me wrong, I've collected comics all my life, graphic novels as well, but I never went heavy into any storyline. I read whatever one I could get my hands on as a kid, mostly Looney Tunes or Archie. Now as an adult, I find myself noticing all the details and wanting to start from the beginning if I can of the story lines.

I recommend to any fan of the Outcast team, Stephen King, The Exorcist, comics, and thriller fans!

I'm glad that Masters punched the guy for talking about killing his wife. He should've done a hell of a lot more to the man in my opinion. It's a good thing that the Reverend and Kyle are there to stop him, though.

OKay, so something occurred to me just now. If Luke knows, or think he knows that a demon's inside of his friend and killed his wife, then why would he give the demon ammunition to use against him?

I really hope that it's the demon inside of the man who's saying those terrible things to Luke and that it's not true in any form. I'm glad that the Reverend made Luke leave. I agree that he was a distraction.

Aww, I don't want the Reverend and Kyle to talk away from Luke and his friend. Oh good, Kyle got the Reverend to agree to stay so they can try and help Luke's friend. I wonder why the Reverend thought Luke's friend wasn't possessed and was just a dick.

Oh shit, now this demon or whatever, knows who Kyle is, and that he's Outcast. I hope that Kyle and the Reverend are able to get the demon or whatever, out of Luke's friend before it kills anyone else.

I don't like that the Reverend was just going to give up. I did like that Kyle was able to talk the Reverend into continuing, so that they could try to save the man trapped inside.

Okay, so the Reverend and Kyle didn't get the demon out. But, Kyle was able to hurt it. So, they should keep going. Also, did they knock him out or something? He's not moving right now.

Alright, so they still didn't get the demon out. I think this one is stronger than the one or ones they did before. I wonder what Kyle and the Reverend are going to do next, since they couldn't save Luke's friend.

I do admit that I wonder why the Reverend and Kyle weren't strong enough to get rid of the demon in Luke's friend. I don't know what Kyle hopes to learn from them going to re-visit Mildred.

I'm sure the demon inside of her is just as strong as the one inside of Luke's friend. Maybe they will be able to talk to the demon in Mildred and convince it to give them some kind of answers. Anyway, can't wait to read the next issue soon.

We are getting a little deeper into the storyline, I may go back after the next issue and read the first six issues back to back. I will admit that with them coming out an issue a month is a little difficult. I feel like I'm not getting something because of the time between each comic. Still, an overall interesting story that has gotten my interest. I may due a more in depth review after the next issue.

Kyle has realized this isn’t so easy. And the reverend learns that he doesn’t have all of the answers. When some power is to strong for you, where do you go? Back to the drawing board.
