I don't normally read romance genre but when I saw a used copy of this anthology in the local authors section at an independent book I bought it. All the stories had an unexpected spin, such as time travel, brides switching places, and a bride posing as an operative, which I enjoyed.
Interestingly, none of the authors were local. Maybe one or two of them did live in the area once upon a time.

A nice anthology of romantic short stories and novellas. My favorite is Meg Mims' "Holiday Hoax," where two mail-order brides meet on a train and agree to switch grooms — pretending to be each other long enough to get past the weddings. Granted, main character Vera is half-asleep when she's persuaded. Even though the Christmas element isn't strong, it's a fun and satisfying story.
The rest of the stories are good, too. We'll call this one four stars.

Great collection of western Christmas romances, each with their own twist that kept me guessing on most. Heart-throbbing heroes and heroines from sweet to feisty, each with their own story and reason to seek a mail-order marriage.
