Kali’s maturity into the warrior she once was could not have come at a better time. Still haunted by his gruesome punishment in Golden Mountain, Rhane is slowly coming undone as the pressure mounts to save this world and preserve the lives of those closest to him. But given a miraculous chance to fix mistakes from the past, Rhane and Kali soon realize that the undertaking may be beyond the reach of even their combined powers.
The battle lines have been drawn as evil marches toward their doorstep. But who fights for which side has never been more unclear. And time is running out to separate friend from foe.
Torn between saving their family and saving the world, Rhane and Kali are faced with impossible choices…and devastating consequences. Because sometimes, a little evil is necessary to protect what is loved most…and sometimes, even that may not be enough.
Born and raised in a small sunny town in South Carolina, Eden finds thunderstorms to be inspiring. There are few things she loves more (except maybe cake) than curling up with a good book on a rainy day, often reading into the wee hours of morning when something really grabs her. Rather than being backed into a genre corner, Eden loves to blend elements of romance, fantasy, sci-fi, comedy, action, mystery and adventure into her novels. DARK SIREN is the exciting and bestselling start of a four-part saga where two characters risk it all to save their love. Be sure to check out LOVE, ALCHEMY, a unique and exciting New Adult Romance.
This book was better than even I expected. Take away the fact that Ms. Ashley is an amazing writer therefore the words flow, the dialogue is flawless, the plot itself was a perfect conclusion (maybe? Please say no) to the series. Kali and Rhane did get a happily ever after, even though I wasn't entirely sure it would happen. The ending was unexpected and I almost threw my kindle at the wall but...we have a HEA. There are deaths, one very important to the kin. There is a conclusion to the fight to prevent Blight from being released. I won't give away the story but almost everything was wrapped up beautifully. However, I didn't want the story to end. I want more. So to summarize, beautifully written story. Excellent characters. Descriptive scenes and a ton of romance and action. Five well deserved stars.
What a Conclusion! Primed Son is Book 4 of The Dark Siren Series. We pick up with Rhane, Kali and company preparing to try and save the world from the awakening of Blight who will destroy the world. In the midst of humanity being turned into monsters, Rhane and Kali must navigate parenthood as they try their best to undo the horrors their youngest son, Bailen endured while at the same time learning that a new destroyer could very well be someone they thought lost forever. This novel was full of danger, death, romance, steamy love scenes, heart ache and constant surprises. The author continued to surprise me with how she seamlessly wove everything together to create a world so rich and multi-layered. I loved the relationship between Rhane and Kali. They were made for each other and because of all they've been through you want them to have a happy ending for the ages. I won't spoil the end but I will say Ms. Ashley had me yelling while reading a couple of times. Don't miss out on Primed Son. I can't wait to read her future works. 5 Stars.
Wow...Eden Ashley has done it yet again, her style of writing totally immerses you in this complex world, with creatures that are so creative and complex. The depth in which she has built the characters and creatures and plot line was immense. There is no way to explain how riveting or intriguing her style of writing is or how amazing this series was, you will simply have to experience it for yourself! She leaves you craving more with each book and things and people are not always how they look or seem. The plot unfolds in such a fantastic way, she seems to know when you absolutely can not take not knowing anymore!!! Thank you for taking me on this amazing adventure! I cant wait for your next series! Eden Ashley
This entire series kept me turning pages. Great story line and the characters are also very intriguing. Suggest you try these books out. You won't be sorry
Primed Son is Book 4 of The Dark Siren Series - OMG 😱 this series had my heart ❤️ drop and thought it would break💔💔💔 !! And then OMG 😳 my heart started beating again at the very end. I truly hope to read more about Kali and Raven, Rhaven, and Bailey in the future! I absolutely loved this series !! The authors were amazing and I would definitely recommend this book 📕/ series 📚!!!!
This has been one of the best series I have read. You fall in love with the group despite all the crazy and mayhem and when they break you break when they shine you become diamond.
I loved the twists and turns of this story. I really hope you write more about Kalista and Rhane. More about how everyone got to where they were. I wish the Novella was still available. Any luck it may come out again? You'll love this series.
It has been quite the experience reading about Rhane and Kalista and everything that happened to them. They had me on the edge of my seat several times and crying through a good portion of this book. Wonderful still, editing is still needed tho.
Gah! I was so excited to see how this series concluded, but I really disagreed with how it ended. I’m throwing that out there now because that has a strong correlation to my ranking, whereas others may like the way the book concluded and disagree. My frustrations with the ending are that there were so many things I felt I never fully got the story on and I felt the characters didn’t get the shot they deserved.
In this finale to the series, Rhane and Kali finally face everything they’ve been running from at the risk of it tearing their family apart. It is nonstop battle and adventure from the beginning before culminating in defense of life and home. Though I disagree with the way the series ended, I would not hesitate to read additional books in the series.
Warning: Contains repeated graphic violence and sexual content.
Who should read it? Folks who have read the series – if you haven’t you’re going to be totally confused. If it’s been a while since you read the books earlier in the series you may also want a refresher! There’s very few reminders if you don’t remember where things were left off.
Please note: I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review courtesy of the author.
After finishing this book, I'm angry. I feel very cheated, as a reader. There are so many unanswered questions, and any emotional satisfaction I felt from reading the first three books was undone by this one. WHY IN THE WORLD things got ruined in the 11th hour, I don't know. But it spoiled the whole series for me. It was another of those "What he heck is going on??" moments that have plagued the entire series, and I was so dissatisfied with the resolution that I'm actually angry about it. The author says their story is finished now and yet I'm screaming at my kindle going "NO IT'S NOT!!!" There are still so many unanswered questions. What about this? THIS was a huge one! What happens with that? I have a whole list, and I'm just stammering going, "But...but...but....BUT...!!!!!!" Emotionally speaking, this book was a rotten way to end the series and I'm very disappointed.
This is the final book in the Dark series by Eden Ashley. Rhane is still adjusting after his torment at Golden mountain. Kali's warrior skills have improved immensely and her control over her power has also. They will both need each other at top notch for the enemy they are about to face. Will they be able to do what is necessary to save their family or will that love destroy them?
This book was an amazing finale to a wonderful series. I was overjoyed with Bailen's love for his brother and his parents. Rhaven was a wonderful addition to the story.
Do not read this book unless you have read the rest of the series!
Oh wow. This series is well worth reading. Omg Rian.. I was like noooooo you can't do that. Bring him back... I was a bit miffed at the ending. I expected Rhane to go a lot more loco. But strangely i understood it. I would love to read more on Gabriel though..
