This was a sad but hopeful story of 2 people that went thru an abundance of issues from one end of the spectrum to another and finally line up in a relationship. The characters are well developed and there is enough going on to keep you interested and invested in the story to the end. Well done!

Hope for Her:
What a frustrating read I just want to reach out and touch this child and knock some sense into her. An emotional read but truly a great book. When Carrington meets Josh she is heads over heals even though it's not all peaches and roses she is in for the count. At least that's what she thinks until the world they have created takes a hit. Is their love strong enough, Can Carrington take away all of Josh's pain and give him the love he needs/craves/dreams of? Will they survive? An amazing read I can't wait to read more and find out what happens next.

Hope for Him:
Talk about an emotional read. Carrington is back and this time she has her eyes set on the one person who has been there for her but is it too late? Carrington has taken a few hits and Jackson has been there to support her through it all but his guilt of falling for his best friends girl may not let him show how he really feels. What an emotional read. I wanted to shake some sense into both of them, but then I guess that's why I enjoyed it so much. I want more because this series has me all flustered and bothered that they just keep missing the mark. Great job getting me all invested in their HEA, now all it has to do is happen.

Hope for Us:
Whoop Whoop finally Carrington stops letting her brain get in the way of her heart. I have to admit this book had me wanting to slap some sense into her. I do love when one of the characters in the book I am reading draws some type of emotion out of me. Well Carrington did it. I do love that the HEA is finally achieved after all they went thru and I get some of her actions but the way she went about it. . . smh. All in all a great story and I loved the ending,

Had the potential to be so much better... 3.5 stars

This set really could have been so much better, but for poor editing (which I could have put up with) and a MC that was annoying at times. The story, though, with its not so typical love triangle, was actually good for the most part, although a bit drawn out.

I. Hope For Her

I got into this first book by the first few chapters, but wasn't really sure if I was going to like these characters. Carrington and Josh are young, first-year college students, who make some unwise choices. The story went in a surprising direction I never expected, and Carrington proved to be a stronger character than I thought, and then I was hooked.

II. Hope For Him

I was still very much into this story, but just as in the first book, sometimes these characters make foolish mistakes. This angst though is just one part that makes this good and spikes up the anticipation... so on I proceeded to the next book.

III. Hope For Us

This too was good and it was nice to see that Carrington and Jackson would find their HEA after all, but the rollercoaster ride was starting to feel a bit long with an ending that was just okay. This third book also would have been better with some needed editing.

I continued with the hope the Bonus Novella would provide a more satisfying conclusion.

BONUS MATERIAL: Hope Series Christmas Novella

First off, I don't know how long after Book III this novella was written, but immediately in the first chapter Jackson, who previously had brown hair and blue eyes, now became a green-eyed blonde... How does that happen... Need a proofreader or editor?

While this bonus novella provided a nice conclusion, it was somewhat annoying that Carrington always seemed to look for ways not to be happy. For as intelligent and successful as she became in her professional life and as a mother, she was very insecure about herself and this negative aspect of her personality was drawn out a little too much.

This series started out building into a great story with the potential for a 5-star rating, but then began to decline somewhere in the third book. Could have been so much better had it not been so drawn out, and there were too many times when I just wanted to shake Carrington and tell her to snap out of it already! This also needs better editing. Consequently, the series fell short of its potential and I had to knock it down to 3.5 stars.

What a journey

This series is quite a journey. It starts with a fresh start for Josh - reuniting with his best friend Jackson and starting over at FSU. Both Jackson & Josh meet & are attracted to Carrington. Carrington makes her choice for better or worse - and the stories in this series is a journey from adolescence to adulthood to parenthood to finding out that timing is everything and if something is meant to be it will happen in spite of our flaws and fears and hopes and dreams.

I have to say there were several times during this journey that I wanted to fling my reader across the room. I both loved and hated each of the MCs during this journey. I laughed, cried and experienced all the feels in between.

It does end with a HFN and the bonus is a lovely glimpse into their future.

(Warnings: controlling & abusive behaviors, drug used, cheating, OW/OM drama)

The result - two hurting, flawed people who run from and to each other and find something truly miraculous in the end.

Wow what an amazing read and very astounding characters. This series will take you on a journey of epic emotional and psychological emotions. There's no way you'd think these characters would make an impact on the storyline in a dramatic and evolving way but they do. Every character in this series that are directly connected to the storyline were of upmost importance. I didn't know whether to dislike Carrington or pity her. Before her relationship with Josh her issues were never given any roadmap to her own journey and recovery, and the relationship attached itself to that person. Josh was the person in the story to have you up and down turned around with his emotions and moods. I think The old Griffins had such an impact on the storyline it wouldn't have an deep meaningful and utterly distracting experience to understand the new Griffin family. These characters Carrington,Josh,Jackson,Jack,Mr. Griffin,Amanda,Erin,Kayla They really made the story and conclusion so much intense and heartfelt. I recommend this series to any of my GR followers/friends you won't be disappointed!

Awesome

Ms Sydney writes a compelling novel on abuse ,drug addiction expectations, lies, riches ,family drama, depression, and fear.
The main characters are Carrington,Jackson and Josh, the settings is on a college campus where Carrington falls for Jackson and Josh who are best friends with two very different personalities. Josh comes from a dysfunctional family and Jackson has a great family. Really was not expecting Josh to follow in his mother footsteps ,my emotions was over the place with certain parts of this novel . The Secondary Characters were excellent and maybe Kayla can get a novel . First time reading a novel by Ms Sydney she going on my keeper list💛

Well worth reading, full on emotional....

I really liked this series, the first book upset me and the second frustrated me but the third was worth all of the emotional rollercoaster I went through. Well worth reading there were some continuity errors and grammatical errors but this didn't distract from the story. Strong character development so the story had depth, enough to make you want to read another story about the two when they expand their family.

Great series! This is a trilogy with a bonus novella. I read them back to back and I'm glad I did because the series was addicting! The journey of Carrington, Josh and Jackson's relationship with each other will have you on an emotional roller coaster through out the entire series! At some point you will love, hate and feel sorry for each one of them! I highly recommend reading this series!

Emotional

When I say emotional, I mean just that. There were such highs and lows. I knew I would love Jackson. I actually liked Carrington but she gradually got worse and worse before she got better in my mind. Josh was a tortured soul but well-written. This read was good but a little hard because of all of the back and forth. It was nerve-wracking at times.

Good, well developed but dragged a little long

I really enjoyed this series. Book One was so good - not your typical love story and quite shocking. Books 2 & 3 were a necessary continuation and conclusion, I liked the character development a lot and stories but the second and third books were a little long. I would recommend the entire series. A little more editing would be good but overall really enjoyable, well developed and not typical story line.? There should be a trigger warning for people who have experienced domestic and sexual violence.

Emotional read

The story was good. Josh and his life was horrible and I cried but it is part of life now days.
I wish that more proofreading and grammar would have been checked better. That is the reason for only 3 stars.

3.5-4. I really liked the books, but in the last book I felt like the author kind of gave up. Names were wrong, spelling and errors all over. Other than that it was a good read

Unnecessary plot twists

The story was good, but Carrington sometimes got on my last damn nerve. She was always half in everything. And her indecisiveness irritated me to no end.

Nice Job

This was a very nice box set and I'm sure it would get a five star from someone a little younger than me. But way to go college students.

I Want More!

I really enjoyed being involved in Carrington's loves and life! I was completely entranced by Josh, Jackson, Jack, Kayla and all of the characters Sydney created. I want to know more...more about Carrington and Jackson and what happens with Kayla. Very well written, despite needing more editing near the end. I just need more!
