Imagine melting away all of the guilt, fear, and anxiety about being able to be both a passionate mom and a passionate entrepreneur, and replacing them with feelings of confidence, excitement and fulfillment. What about not feeling so overwhelmed by actually trying to simultaneously raise a family AND a business. Sounds magical doesn’t it? Boss Mom can help you get there. Boss Mom was created to do two things. First, to help dramatically shift your mindset about how you see yourself and your role as a mother, entrepreneur, wife, daughter, friend and more. An epic shift that will allow you to see how you can be amazing in each of these roles without sacrificing the others. And second, to guide you through a new way of thinking about how you integrate your family life with your entrepreneurial life. And to give you a plan that you can begin to implement that will make your world feel a little easier.
I’m not a mom. Well, I’m not a woman, for that matter, but every once in a while I like to read books that sound interesting, and are outside my favourite genres.
Boss Mom was indeed an interesting read. This book is primarily meant for women who want to 'build' a family and a business. It provides a range of suggestions, examples and resources in order to achieve both things
It was insightful to read Dana Malstaff’s personal experience, to follow the struggle that brings raising two children while building a successful business, but also to share her joy and achievements. The way she did it made me think more broadly of what it means to be a good parent and a successful entrepreneur, which is a goal many people aspire to.
Overall, Boss Mom was an engaging, short read. The author’s style is smooth, and it feels almost like reading a collection of well written blog posts.
Suggested to moms who want to build a business and raise a child, without feeling guilty to want them both.
Transform your business and life by applying the principles in BOSS MOM. Dana shares the inspiration and insights that is the ultimate guide to raising a business & nurturing your family like a pro. Karen Briscoe, author and podcast host 5 Minute Success
This book started off strong for me but then I realized it’s not for me at this point in my life. If I would have read this BEFORE I had my now 8 year old, this would been golden. Overall great points and skills for a new mom with a new business venture.
This may not have been a complete guide to helping a Mom be able to figure out to do it all in their lives, but it was an inspirational and encouraging book to read.
