Jenna Harks left Goldman Sachs. Left the two hundred thousand starting salary on the table. She left to make her name with something bigger, better. Even if it did mean starting out as a low-level assistant without recognition or the chance of dental. But when mistaken identity gives Jenna the job of her dreams, she isn’t sure what to make of it. She knows she has the skills and determination, that’s for sure. So she rises to the challenge.
There is Michael Larchwood, younger son of the legendary Abe Larchwood. Second heir to the keys of the castle. He was also a notorious playboy who flirts with Jenna. The thing is, not only does the company have a zero tolerance policy toward inter-office fraternization, but Michael was well known for flouting those rules. At least four women in the last two years were fired after being seen leaving his apartment, and Jenna was in no way interested in making that list.
And then there’s the serious brother, Thomas Larchwood, who is a brilliant financial tactician and the youngest person ever to be named on Forbes most influential people’s list. All that and he was only a few years older than Jenna.
The more Michael flirts with Jenna, the more Thomas takes notice. Both brothers are off limits. But during this Christmas season, one of them steals her heart.
Sierra Rose is a stay at home mom and writer. With the support from her husband, friends, and family, she finally decided to write her first romance novel, My Despicable Ex, followed by the second book in the series. She hopes to write more romance books in the future.
Sierra is a dreamer, a hopeless romantic, and believes fairy tales can come true. She enjoys spending time with her husband of ten years and her wonderful children, ages 9 - 12. She has two cats and one dog. Sierra enjoys going to book clubs, camping, hiking, reading, jogging, and swimming.
After having read the Billionaire’s Fake Girlfriend I honestly had expected more from Seduced by my Billionaire Boss. It wasn’t necessarily bad in any way, however it wasn’t as charming as the first book series I’ve read by Sierra Rose. It was missing that extra touch and spark that would have pulled me into the story the way the Billionaire’s Fake Girlfriend did.
All in all, I felt that the story was too rushed to get good depth to the story and characters, leaving much more to desire. The focus there was was placed on her new job, the merger and her deception. While I enjoyed the deception and how she got the job, as well as how said job introduced her to the love interest, all the merger and lawyer talk became too dull. Maybe it’s just me though, considering I find no interest in the subject. However, I still feel that that focus would have been much better placed in characterization and the development of the romance.
That’s not to say it was ill developed in any way. I enjoyed their growing yet forbidden relationship, the bit of drama that came along with it and I liked both characters well enough. Just like the story it was just too rushed to have that desired extra depth needed for a thrilling romance and complex characters. Considering their relationship was against job policy there was after all a lot of room for drama and complexity that just weren’t there. To me it felt like they met, interacted under the disguise of a work assignment, went on a getaway and celebrated Christmas together. That’s it. Story over.
Knowing there are three parts I am hopeful that what I did not get in part one will be in part two and three. I will probably keep reading in the future, but for now I feel no rush, partly because of the unnecessary high prices for such short books and partly because of a satisfactory ending to part one.
Jenna gave up a golden job at Sachs to work at Larchwood. She knew she'd be starting at the bottom, but that didn't matter, all she needed was t poo ace the interview and get her foot in the door.
Right place, right time.
The woman in the bathroom was quitting, just up and leaving. So when the woman that Jenna was supposed to be having her interview with, mistook her for someone else... Well, what's a girl to do. Step up and be counted, that's what;and worry about the consequences later.
Enter Michael and Thomas Larchwood. One hot and a total womanizer, the other hot and not quite the stick in the mud, business man she was expecting.
An urgent job, a kiss, a slap... Michael An urgent job, a smile and a weekend away. 'To f**k it out.' Thomas
This is book #1 in a series of three. I just love books that continue as a series with other following books. I picked this one primarily because it came free, ( it's how I find all of my favourite reads and writers!) Through a chance meeting in a bathroom Jenna passes herself off as the new finance strategist. But ends up getting together with her hunky billionaire boss. It's a shame nobody told her that the firm has a no dating policy between staff members. Read on for a great whirlwind of a love story!
Jenna starts working at the company run by brothers Tom and Michael Larchwood. She steps into a difficult ugly situation an impresses everyone with her skills. Michael persistently makes passes at her. She makes it clear she isn’t interested and besides, the company has a no fraternization policy. Working closely with both men will test Jenna’s will.
Prohibited love is what "Seduce By My Billionaire Boss by Sierra Rose. It is a nice book that once you start to read you just need to know what happens next. But this is book one from a series so you are left at a cliff hanger until you read book two.
I really enjoyed listening to this audiobook. The story is full of humor, romance and erotic scenes. It is fast paced and before you know it, you have reached the end of the book, left looking forward to reading the next one in this series.
One little lie can’t hurt, can it? Jenna is at a large investment firm to interview but is mistaken for the transfer from the California branch who was coming in for the merger the company was working on. But Jenna shows she can do all the work asked of her and more.
The book starts making you think it will be Michael that is seducing Jenna, as he is the playboy of the two brothers. But book one ends with Tom being the seducer.
This book ends with a happily ever now ending with more in the series.
A few issues I had with the book include the unbelievability that Jenna could just jump in as someone else and no one would question it. There is also the fact of there being over 30% of the “book” left when the story ended. I do understand that including snippets of your other works with your ebooks is a great way to promote, but that was a bit excessive.
Wow! That was the most romantic Christmas ever. I had to get that out first. Sierra Rose, this book shows your wonderful writing. Jenna has just started a new job where the owners two sons start paying attention to her, but she does not want to lose her job. Michael, the younger brother, a well known playboy or Thomas, the very serious older brother? Both brothers are off limits, right? I loved reading book 1, and yes, there is a cliffhanger, but that is fine with me. I am just looking forward to reading book 2.
Jenna leaves her job to make a name for herself. Even if she's starting over. She lands a job that she's got the qualifications for but there's a problem. It happen because of a mistaken identity. Can she keep the job or will she lie about it. Hurricane readers book review gave me the book for my honest review
First book in the series and leaves you wanting more. Interesting narrative and good character development. I would consider this as pg-13. Good book, I just don't care for series books like th I s.
The story line was great. When it came to the sex scenes, I was like okay here we go...than bam...NOTHING... goes right to the next day. Book only goes to 68% than goes into small portions from the authors other books....what a dissappointment!
New graduate. Brilliant and fakes her way into interview and job with the bosses son. There is the initial crisis which she solves quickly and easily and then her own personal crisis that on!y the son can solve . wake me when the unexpected occurs.
This was a fun read! If I'm being honest, I almost wasn't sure which brother I was cheering for.. and maybe I missed something or I'm just being obtuse, but why did Michael pull that "stunt"? Anywho, can't wait to find out what happens!
This was a good book, but I definitely felt that it was too short. I would have liked it to be longer. And I felt that the romance was not enough of the book, and the romantic parts were too rushed.
