This was a KU and the last book in The Dems trilogy. I really thought this would tie everything together and answer some nagging questions from the first two books. Nope, didn't do that at all. This was all about the relationship between Aya Berk and the abdicated, trouble making king Baraz. Thousands of years ago on earth king Baraz was treated as a god. He was given Aya as a gift when she was a child. The story bounces between their relationship in the past and Aya's mistrust of Baraz in the present. Most of the lingering questions are never answered. I still enjoyed it.
If you're interested in a sci-fi / paranormal series that's quick too read and you don't have to take too seriously this is entertaining enough.
Of love to say I was thrilled to read this book, but unfortunately, I couldn't get my head around parts of it. At the end it all made sense but during the reading process I got lost on many occasions. The characters and storyline ultimately were well written so I did enjoy them.
Excellent adventure. Love spanning millennia, what was once lost, is found again. Where strength of character prevails over malice and spite. A gripping read.
Though there is strife in this book it would be ok for teens.
