7.6/10. Solid climax and ending to the arc, even if it’s hamstrung a little bit by how many of these characters have to live to see Episode III. The Dathomir Clan vs. Sith magic battle is a pretty cool visual, and it’s interesting to explore some of the wildcards involved in Sidious’s rise to power apart from just the Jedi vs. Sith Dichotomy. That said, the Nightsister mythology has been so inconsistent already. (She could come back to help Ventress, and to assist that weird cult that kidnapped Jar Jar, but wasn’t in her whole form yet? Or maybe this fits elsewhere in the timeline?) It’s hard to take this resurrection or killing of her too seriously, since she’s seemingly come back from just as bad or worse, no matter how cool and creepy it was to see her sucking the life force out of Dooku.

Otherwise, this was a much more focused entry than some of the other ones. We basically just get the Dathomir vs. Sith battle, and a little lead up to it. There’s a few asides about Maul’s tenuous alliance among the Mandalorian warriors loyal to him, the Pykes, and the Black Sun dissolving in the midst of this, which I suppose is important for plot purposes. And we have yet another instance of a major good guy or bad guy escaping at the last minute rather than facing comeuppance. Still, it’s a decent, if not fully satisfying to this massive villain mash up and delivers some intriguing, if slightly fan-service-y battles to boot.

This was a very interesting series, one that has been one of the more impressive Darth Maul story arcs presented. By now, if you’ve been following the series, Maul’s mother is a witch of Dathomir and it’s him and his mother against Dooku and Sidious. Oh and Grievous[...]

This is such an amazing series.

Star Wars, Maul, Grievous, Dooku, Sidious, Nightsisters, The Clone Wars TV show fans... if any single one of those is something that scratches your sci-fi/fantasy itch, you have to pick up these 4 comics.

In this final and thrilling installment of the series, Darth Maul is almost a side-liner. Mother Talzin wants to have her way with Darth Sidious after Maul molests Count Dooku as a warm-up act in order to give living form to the Mother. We even have General Grievous cutting in on the dance. Now, we all know how this ends even without reading the comic, but it's the journey - not the destination - that matters, children. Enjoy!

Okay, I am officially impressed, Star Wars Audiocomics definitely does not disappoint with its voice-acting and this comic doesn't disappoint on its ending. Felt a tiny bit sorry for both Maul and Dooku, for different reasons, because as we know Talzin was right about Sidious and Maul has had to watch both his brother and mother die in front of him.
I look forward to reading/listening to my next comic series with this channel.

This is the conclusion to the Son of Dathomir storyline which is a story featuring Darth Maul. We get a nice cast of villainous characters as well from the prequels and Clone Wars series. Nice artwork and interesting plot.

Really wished this arc made it into clone wars, I would’ve felt more of the tension when watching it with the score playing. But nonetheless the plot was great and the graphics were really awesome especially with Maul’s expressions 👌

Now I know many people say that THE PHANTOM MENACE was a throwaway movie, but it gave us Darth Maul, and for that, I’ll forgive it a transgression or two. Darth Maul is probably my favorite Star Wars villain. Full of silent rage, a double-ended saber, the most acrobatic fighting style aside from Yoda…he’s just plain awesome. I was actually a little sad to see him meet the imminent villain end.

Thank goodness for Star Wars technology, though, which ensures that if you lose a limb…or half of your body…you can always just replace it with robot parts.

In this graphic novel, broken into four parts, Darth Sidious wants Mother Talzin, who is responsible for Maul’s resurrection. When Darth Maul escapes him, he retreats to his Shadow Collective army. The Sith hope that he will lead them to Mother Talzin. Of course, through all of this there are light saber battles, crossing, double-crossing, and everything else we’ve come to expect.

They’ve packed a lot into approximately forty minutes of graphic novel reading. Readers who haven’t watched THE CLONE WARS television show will have some catching up to do, and may find themselves feeling a little lost. However, anyone familiar with Episodes I and II should be able to keep up.

This book contains battle violence, but is otherwise clean reading.

This reminds me of the more interesting Clone Wars episodes, the ones that actually had a plot instead of just: Danger! Trouble in the galaxy! The heroes must go to [planet] to investigate! The characters here match how they were in the Clone Wars and this is a decent installment. I think I prefer it in comic form to the show probably, it's straightforward and to the point, with a few less one liners.

For as much as I like Mother Talzin as a character, her destiny came to reinforce the power of Sidious and how he really does have all the power in his hands.

What an incredible issue this was. Perfect to set the tone for Rebels and what we know to be Maul's future in the universe.
