This was my reintroduction to fiction reading, after a lengthy period reading only fact for my studies... I read Andy Warhol's Dracula first, as I've read most of Kim Newman's other works in this series. While I enjoyed the tale, details like the nods to 'real' celebrities of the time did not sit quite as comfortably with me as they might, and I didn't think this short was as good as Newman's other work in a similar vein (geddit?)

I was unfamiliar with Michael Marshall Smith and thus had no expectations. I was pleasantly surprised by the story, which unfolded quickly and intelligently, and rather disappointed that it ended so quickly. I will definitely seeking out more of this man's work.
