The anonymous invitation that someone slipped under my door promises $1,000. Just for meeting a man downtown, in a public place, no questions asked.
There’s no catch. I’ve checked. A banker vouched for the offer, the funds, and the wealth of my unknown host. I just have to show up. And given what’s gone wrong in Miami, I’m desperate for money.
A man I can’t stand I can make more than I ever imagined, Daniel Rice tells me, if I agree to take part in a competition.
But Daniel doesn’t impress me, with his tailored suit and silver cufflinks, with his big hands and callous manner. If Daniel is Trevor Ross’s right-hand man, I don’t even want to hear about Trevor’s little contest.
It doesn’t matter how rich Trevor is. Daniel is a brute and a bastard, and for some reason he seems to hate me.
Everything in me screams to run away, no matter how much I’m secretly drawn to Daniel.
So why am I still here?
A proposal I can’t believe Daniel is like an addiction, chipping away at my resolve, piece by piece.
Just get into the limousine. Just get on the private plane. Just fly to an airstrip at the foot of the largest, most luxurious estate I’ve ever seen. Just stay the first night, then another. Tell no one where I’ve gone, or why.
At each stage, they offer more money, easing me into the competition with all the other girls.
I just wish it was only the money keeping me here.
An offer I can’t refuse I only need to stay here in this place to make all that I need. I don’t even have to “participate” like the other girls do.
There are twelve of us, but alliances were forming before I arrived. There are the three hired men, each one hotter than the last. There’s Trevor. And Daniel -- who the rules say I must stay away from. But I can’t.
Daniel tells me I’m his, not Trevor’s or anyone else’s. He says he owns me. I hate the way he talks to me. But I can’t resist him, no matter the penalty.
The rules say I can leave whenever I want.
But for some reason, I don’t.
Desperate times call for desperate pleasures. The Burning Offer is the first volume in the 4-book Trevor’s Harem series, and Aubrey Parker’s hottest, edgiest story yet.
I love to write stories with characters that feel real enough to friend on Facebook, or slap across the face. I write to make you feel, think, and burn with the thrill that can only come from getting lost in the pages. I love to write unforgettable characters who wrestle with life's largest problems. My books may always end with a Happily Ever After, but there will always be drama on the way there.
Definitely not a usual story of a millionaire-in-suit who wants to get the woman. Or maybe, is it? I do not really know, because it's still one huge mystery. And even if it is, he doing it in a completely twisted way.
About the plot: From the beginning Bridget is pulled in the game. At the concert meets a man who never should know who she is, and with whom she ends on a fast quickie. Her life takes even stranger course when she gets anonymous invitation promises $1,000. She is desperate to earn as much money as she can and after verifying the invitation decides to go to a meeting. She is stunned when it turns out that the meeting is with men from previous night, and who offers her more and more money first for a few questions and further the trip to a mysterious mansion.
Final thoughts: And now my head spinning. Speculation, questions, puzzles, double meanings. And this is just the beginning. I started strongly confused, but curious what's going on. From the beginning, not much is explained and you enter into it blind.
Troublesome may be the fact that there are a lot character and many secrets. You will be analyze each sentence and look for answers. Some of them are slowly revealed over the course of the book, but I have a feeling that it's nothing yet. The main couple is full of surprises, and is certain that behind all of that is backstory. About which we do not have the slightest idea. Of course I have my suspicions.
I do not know what to think about Daniel still. He takes her to the mystery residence, where is organized the competition with completely impure motives. And it will be a place of sin and a lack of taboos. I mean, what to expect from a harem of women, handsome guys and big money prize? Of course, a dirty fuckfest. But the competition is just beginning and it can go in really different directions. On one hand, more and more disturbing, the second exciting.
It's all very intriguing and absorbing. I definitely want to see where it goes. And how far Bridget can push herself. Because I have to admit that I have no idea and I'd really like, no, must to know. Because she just started her game. And I found myself in a situation where I truly cheers for her.

If you read the Inferno Falls Series like I did, you were impatiently awaiting Bridget's book. We were left with an itty-bitty cliffhanger that introduced Burning Offer - and I just HAD to know what was happening.
Burning Offer starts off with a mysterious man seducing Bridget - a man who knows far more about her than anyone should. But it isn't until she investigates the mysterious offer that she sees him again. Daniel.
For $1000 all she has to do is show up. But that's not the end of the offers and with Bridget in desperate need of cash; she's willing to go all in - even if she has no idea what she's up against. Will she be able to stay in the game by keeping her head down? Or will she give in to temptation and let herself go?
I really enjoyed the first installment of the new series by Aubrey Parker. It's edgier than the IFS and has a little darker theme than the prior series. I have a feeling that the connection Daniel and Bridget have is going to go far deeper than we ever expect and I for one can't wait to find out all his secrets!
This is an intriguing read which slowly reveals itself although be warned its a cliffhanger and the first in a series of four books but they're on KU. It opens with Bridget who's received an invitation, no stamp or return address:
You Are Invited 2 p.m., April 17th Castleview Hotel Private Conference Room C $ 1,000 Paid For Attendance, No Strings Attached * Bring A Day Bag *
We know Bridget needs money but we don't know why and then while she's out she's approached by Alexander who knows her as Elle but she doesn't know him and his names not Alexander, as you can see it looks interesting. There's a lot here to like, way more than I expected my only problem was with Bridget I just didn't like her at all which meant I struggled in places and yes I know she's supposed to be a bit abrasive but she never thinks before she opens her mouth I just never warmed to her at all and because of this every time she said.... “I don’t want to wait.” “I’m not a whore.” “I’m not for sale.” “I told you, I’m not a whore.” “I’m not going anywhere with you,” “I’m not going on any trip.” “You’re not buying me.” “I’m not interested.” “I’m not interested in your ‘proposition.’” “It doesn’t matter. I’m not doing anything else.” “I’m not going anywhere.” I just wished she'd stop talking, I mean we knew she was doing it anyway and don't get me started on her temper. We find out why she needs the money and her connection to Alexander and the reason why she's in this situation then we're given the competition rules, so all in all despite my dislike of Bridget it's a good read.
We see that Bridget is hiding something from Brandon and will do anything to help Linda. With an invitation for a meeting for $1000 to talk Bridget goes back and forth and finally takes the meeting. When she meets Daniel not for the first time he offers her more money. Needing the money and having no one she wants to get involve she takes Daniel's offer. Going to Trevor Ross house to compete in a contest to win a lot of money and another prize which Bridget needs more then ever after hearing some bad news, but when a contest pushing Bridget to far will the game be over before it even started? I really enjoy this story. Loving all the character and can't wait for the next book to come out to see what happens next
Just a warning, this ends on a cliffhanger! I'm confused but definitely intrigued by this first book. There are a lot of questions you won't get answered by the end of this book, which was brilliant of the author cause I really wish the second book was available now to keep reading.
This book was better than I even expected. I really liked how the story built on mystery. You had to keep reading to reveal even the smallest piece of the puzzle. Aside from a few strange scenes with one of the main characters, it was excellent. I'm already looking forward to the sequel. Five glittery stars for this romantic erotica read!
I want to say is a definitely a 3 star rating only because the beginning I was so confused on what was going on. I didn't understand it was pile after pile of confusion for me but I kept reading anyway. I would continue to read the rest of the books but I could hold off from it for now.
Bridget grew up in foster care having to deal with Horrible situations and now a little older and hardened to everything , she still has to take care of others responsibilities that are not her own. Even with her day job as a Voice actor and moonlighting side job as a phone sex operator . she still can't get by, so when she gets an invitation slipped under her door offering $1,000 just for meeting a mysterious stranger in a public place , she doesn't think twice. She meets Daniel . A handsome devil in a tailored suit with a Snarky, I own you kind of attitude . He plays every trick in the book and manages to charm her out of her panties and strait into trouble .
All she ahs to do is enter his friend Trevor's competition with eleven other ladies ....
After each stage is completed , she'll earn more money , she can leave at any time , but must play by the rules of the game or risk immediate Elimination. What is the grand Prize ...Trevor !
Will Bridget be able to stand the illicit heat of the competition once she finds out exactly what she has to do in order to win the money , she so desperately needs ?
and
Is she desperate enough to stay in the game when she finds out the man that makes her Blood Boil and Pulse Quicken with a stare lured her here under false pretenses and is completely off limits and also has a hidden agenda ??
Aubrey has written an excellent storyline to escape within. He has woven a lot of different characters , situations and emotions that keep you intrigued and wanting more . At first I thought it was just another story about a wealthy man who wants to pull together a lot of different woman to find his perfect submissive , but this story goes way beyond that ....it's really about getting Revenge on a woman that has discarded you and escapes your grasp only to consume your every thought to where you must lure her into a situation that will totally break her ....and you get a front row seat. But , at a certain point Daniel realizes what he is doing to Bridget is not fulfilling his every desire , because he is really not in control ...the control belongs to his best friend Trevor . Certain elements are Creepy , Provocative and Desperate , look at the scene where Daniel is staring through a specially made glass into Bridget's room and How about that Devious Cliffhanger Ending !! I think that those Scandalous parts of the book are what really made me want to keep reading on to see what eventually transpires between these two characters in a dangerous web of deceit . I'm looking foreword to reading what mind- blowing situations happen between Daniel and Bridget in the upcoming installments of the Trevor's Harem series .
...is the only way I can think of to describe Burning Offer by Aubrey Parker. It is kind of an x-rated version of tv's The Bachelor, where a bunch of tramps are brought together to vie for the prize: matrimony and a big paycheck. Of course, with the television series, there are usually one or two decent, nice girls who are really deserving of ending up with a decent, nice guy, but is the proposed husband-to-be really all that decent or nice if he is willing to sit back and pit one suitor against the other so blatantly?
In this first installment of the Trevor's Harem series, it would be a stretch to say that any of the women are "nice", persay, but there is one who has dire need of the money. She enters the competition with a plan to get out as soon as she has what she needs to solve the immediate problem, and the reader gains a smidge of respect for her.
What is disturbing though, is the depravity and whorishness of very nearly everyone else involved. What is disturbing is that, by extrapolation, the author seems to be inferring that the vast majority of women would respond the same way if put in a similar situation. And, given the popularity of such shows as The Bachelor snd The Bachelorette, I suppose it might seem a safe assumption. However, I think it is an erroneous one. We are not all whores, there is still integrity in the world, and the number of decent, nice people still outnumber the depraved.
I will not be reading anymore of this series. I am not terribly sure why I finished the book, other than possibly with the hope it would come forth with some redeeming features, but it didn't. If you are looking strictly for titillation, and get off on people using and abusing others, then maybe it would suit you. It isn't badly written - my grammar nazi didn't find much more than a couple of typos to have issue with. My conscience, on the other hand, was not happy. Producing and consuming scenerios like this breeds acceptance of reprehensible situations and beings, somehow makes it more "okay", and that is not a good thing for decent, nice people.
I’m not entirely sure what to say about this book, and I don’t have to worry about giving away any spoilers because I have absolutely no friggin’ idea what the hell is going on. All I know is that Bridget is competing against eleven other women in a sexual contest aimed at finding a wife for the billionaire head of a sex toy company. But is that all there is to the contest? Who’s in charge? Is it Trevor, Daniel or someone else? Bridget doesn’t know, nor does she care; she only plans on staying long enough to win enough money to help her mother get out of a bad situation.
BURNING OFFER is told in dual POVs, but is mostly told in Bridget’s POV. It’s the beginning of a four part serial, so it cannot be read as a stand-alone. I’ll be honest, I thought about giving up on this book several times. I didn’t feel like I was missing something, but rather that I was missing everything, because not one thing made a damn bit of sense. I’m assuming it’s meant to be very confusing and that hopefully it’s not simply a case of being too stupid to understand what’s going on. But as much as it frustrated the crap out of me, it also intrigued me enough to keep me coming back.
Spoiler Ahead This was a pretty good book this was also my first time reading this author. Bridget is in a bind and needs money to help out her family. Working various jobs including a phone sex operator who led her to meet Alexander/Daniel. Daniel is your typical alpha male who gets what he wants and decides when he wants to take it he is the tall, dark tattooed skin, bad boy. When she receives an invitation for a meeting, where she will receive $1000, just to show up, she goes back and forth, but finally takes the meeting. Bridget is surprised at the meeting when she comes face-to-face with Daniel, a man she had a one nightstand with, and has left her craving more of him. Growing up in foster care has giving Bridget her edge and toughness. I liked both of these character's right away. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. This was the first book in a new series too me as this was my first time reading this author. This book did leave off on a cliffhanger and I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
I did enjoy this book and galloped straight to the end, but the fact that this is the first book of 7, to be honest has put me off. The 7 books are on offer at a great price and I have purchased them, but 7 is a lot, so will be reading on later. I love the chemistry and intrigue of the two main characters, Bridget and Daniel. There is clearly some history between these two, but we are yet to find out. Sex has taken place between them, even though we later find out that Daniel is infact out of bounds. We have only just met Trevor, and been told that the competition is to win to become his wife...really...this bit just wasn’t for me. All the contestants will do anything to win, which to be frank I could imagine, but who would stoop so low...in essence I do believe this is what the book is about. Bridget is from a broken home..fostered and doesn’t find birth parents until she’s an adult and moms not having a good time. Wee don’t know the full picture as yet, and this book sets up with little snippets...setting the scene as to speak. Bridget is left being possibly evicted, yet all contestants are paid for length of stay, hers has been forfeit, but she’s desperate. She needs the money too badly and has her pride. Should be interesting how low she will stoop, and how involved Daniel will infact get.

This is a review for #1-4 books, it's best to read them together, because each one (except the last) ends abruptly in the middle of an event and the next just picks it up, no intro or anything. It's one book literally split up in 4 parts.
I went into the series completely blindfolded. I didn't know what to expect.. there was the "dark" tag as well, which is usually a warning sign I won't like the book. But I went into it anyway, boy am I glad I did.
This was amazing!! Loved loved loved it. Some of you might be sceptical whether this is a "safe book" as I was. Ow/om:
Covering that, this turned out to be exactly what I adore in a romance - enemies to lovers. I don't want to reveal any of the plot. But rest assured, the plot itself is very entertaining, I was HOOKED. I couldn't stop reading. It was so unpredictable it kept me on my toes until the end. Plot twists, secrets, suspense.... I'll admit it was confusing as hell 99% of the time. But I'm glad I read it.
This was a very interesting story and I look forward to reading the rest of the series. Not sure how I feel about Daniel. AKA Alexander. Was a little confusing as to what was happening as I was reading the beginning of the story.
This is so, messed up. I mean it was good, but it was rather creepy at times. I wanted so badly for them to fall for each other instead of it being some weird messed up demanding kinky fuckery.
I wanted more of a foundation built for them, theses stories are always better when love is found.
I'm not really sure how I feel about this book. I'm baffled, curious, annoyed at the cliffhanger ( only because I hate them lol). It's far from a typical millionaire gets a girl type book. There's not enough details to really get to know the characters yet just enough to want to know more.
I'm curious to find out if Daniel knew Bridget from one of the many homes, some of his thoughts make it seem such is the case but then others lead me away from that thought.
Soo many questions. Unfortunately I won't be finding out. No offence intended but I am not willing to pay $5 plus taxes for a book i can read in an hour.

It was...ok. I enjoyed the tug and pull between the two main characters. I liked the sexy odd atmosphere. I didn't enjoy the..self-hate? of the main character? She was really uptight, which is kind of ok because that's her character, but...there was this overall atmosphere of 'good girls don't do this' that I didn't enjoy as much, a little judginess thrown over everything. I also never really enjoy the whole women can't be friends with other women kind of dynamic, but that's just my personal taste. I'm just saying, if it's going to be a book about a super fun sexy orgiastic party palace, let it be about that and don't include the judgement.

I'm a fan of the authors so was excited to read this when I read the synopsis. Sounded very mysterious.
This was an interesting story that confused me in the beginning and throughout. I later learned that all these people that were brought up have their own stories so I felt a little out of the loop.
I didn't really enjoy Daniel. He came off rude, demeaning, and aggressive to me. But I can see where things may change for his character in the future, maybe.
Fun idea, just not for me. If you're a fan of the author this is a definite read then!
3.5 stars. I wound up liking this book, but it was written in a confusing way. I kept thinking that I should know these billionaires they kept talking about, and that I was missing key things in the story. But the author just wrote it that way and would talk about it later. The characters knew, just not the audience. I really want to find out who Daniel really is and how Bridget is going to get herself out of her predicament.
Down on her luck and broke, she receives an invitation. An invitation to join a contest, a contest where you earn money every step of the way. A contest where the winner becomes the bride of Trevor, billionaire seller of sex. The runner-up will be a millionaire. She doesn't want to stay, but needs the money; she doesn't want to win; want she wants and hates, is the one man she can't touch, if she stays, her recruiter, Daniel.

Wow. Bridget is a live wire. I like her. She’s her own person does not take sh1t from anyone not even Daniel. She has a burning need for that money not like the little skanks Kylie and Ivy. Although I think Bridget is being duped along the way by Linda and her sister. Just a feeling. I hope she and Daniel eventually get together for real. Good story line. Different. Enjoyed the book.
This book was mind blowing! I cannot believe the twisted sense of morality, or the catty b!*=h that has start with Bridget! God I hate a villainess. Makes me wanna hit someone! Couldn't put it down and I am starting the next! Oh and did I mention, I voluntary read this to give an honest review! You don't want to miss it!
I must admit I spent most of this book in a confused state. Finding myself reluctantly re-reading portions to make sure I didn't miss something. Maybe that's what the author intended? Either way, knowing it was a cliffhanger, it still left me wanting to know how this would play out but at the same time not in a rush to do so.
I didn't expect to like this book, the characters are not nice. That being said, I am very curious about the program, what Alexa is up to, if Bridget will continue to be difficult, and how the heck karma gets Kylie. Looks like I'll be sticking with the series.
Bridget is introduced to us in the Infernal Falls Trilogy. From the moment I read her, I loved her. This is her story and it unfolds in a very unique way. I can't get enough of this series, hangover worthy!! Highly recommend!
The delicious beginning to what seems to be a daring and potentially dangerous game. Daniel is playing with fire, and Bridget knows how to stoke it. Trouble is, keeping within the rules.
