Celebrating 30 Years of Storm! The back alleys of Cairo's thieves quarter are no place for a child to grow up -- unless that child is destined to be one of the greatest Marvel heroines of all time! Long before she became the X-Man known as Storm, a young orphan named Ororo Munroe stalked the streets of Cairo picking pockets and scraping to survive. Get ready for some awesome Egyptian action and adventure as Ororo leads her fellow street urchins on the adventure of a lifetime! This is a history lesson you won't want to miss!
I really enjoyed reading this four part story of Ororo/Storm and her childhood adventures. Visually very refreshing and four issues go so fast. Recommended.
If you love Storm, then this is definitely something you should read! Actually set in Cairo, before she became her famous superhero alter-ego and entangled with the X-Men, we see Ororo as a thief and surviving the streets of this ancient city. There are such incredible landscapes (if you appreciate the art of comics as much as I do, then it'll definitely be a treat), so full of the mystical, that there's no denying that Ororo is grown of this land. This is, truly, a filmic comic that I have loved each time I've read it.
Seeing how Storm got her start was really cool! I always knew she was a pickpocket in the city of Cairo as a child and this story really elaborates on that part of her past. What's even cooler is that she does all her stealing without her mutant powers and just relies on her own abilities as a thief, which is awesome!
