Has a fateful November meeting over raspberries led Rusty to Mr. Right? He and Cole have so much in common, except for that religious background thing.

And Cole loves holidays. Rusty decks out Christmas trees, while Cole lights up menorahs. It can't be that hard to plan and execute the perfect Chanukah. What could possibly go wrong?

Two men, two sets of traditions, one chance for Rusty to get it right.

Exactly what do you do with a dreidel?

Very cute story of two guys whose relationship is just starting at the holidays. One is Jewish and the other is sorta Christian and they work on sorting out the holidays together. Both Rusty and Cole are adorable characters :) Rusty is especially entertaining as he's getting ready for Cole to come over dinner at Hanukkah and his attempts at latkes (and particularly his selection of bacon to go with them) and a traditional meal. He agonizes over the menorah and the candles. But Cole is very understanding and helpful and very touched that Rusty went to such trouble.

At Christmas, it's Rusty's turn to help Cole with getting things right and they are really sweet together as they work through the funny things that come up.

Would love to read more about these two because they are quite engaging.

Adorable! That is the best way I can describe Lit Up! Devyn Morgan delivers a fun holiday story about two men, their holiday traditions and hopefully happiness for them both.

Rusty has recently met who he thinks could be the man of his dreams, Cole, and he wants to impress him during the upcoming holiday season. The problem, Cole is Jewish and Rusty knows very little about the Jewish culture but that's not really slowing him down when it comes to creating a memorable and attempted traditional holiday for Cole.

Lit Up really was a sweet story that I found very heartwarming. The perfect holiday season, make you smile kind of book. There were a lot of giggles at Rusty and his clumsy ways, but I absolutely adored him (and can relate to a lot of what he did). Cole has the best personality and appreciation of Rusty.

I'm definitely becoming a big fan of Devyn Morgan and his HEA stories. They always leave me with a smile and a happy heart!

This was a fun - and funny - story about a good, beginner's effort at Hannukah. Although, it's hard to provide all the trappings of a holiday for your wannabe conquest when you're not Jewish yourself, and have no idea what you are doing! Good intentions win the heart of a good man. This story left a warm smile on my face and in my heart.

Plenty Lacking.

I need a bit more from a story. How and where did they meet? What do they look like? Where do they work? This felt more like a couple of chapters from the middle of a book rather than a standalone story.

This is, I think, Devyn at his best. A well written story that is sweet and romantic as well as funny. Two guys doing their best to celebrate the holidays of the other. A precious read.

Content Warnings for the sample

Content Warnings for this review

DNF in the middle of the sample because the gentile MC was fetishizing the Jewish love interest's circumcized penis and his Jewishness in general. Anti-semitic fetishizing from the MC is not at all what I want in a Chanukah romance. As a Jewish reader, my skin was crawling after trying to read this.
