I understand that she’s self-destructive but my goodness! It got tiring. I wanted Nikki to channel her mother’s badassness (I know that’s not a word, don’t judge me) and... I don’t know, I just expected more from her in the second and third book. I wanted her character to develop, it did a little bit in the end but there were times when I really wanted her to be strong but she was just sloppy. Anyway I know depression is a bitch so yeah.
