Cassy Joy Garcia is the creative force behind the popular food blog Fed + Fit. She is a nutrition consultant, the creator of The Fed+Fit Project: A 28-Day Food and Fitness Self Study, and the voice behind the weekly Fed+Fit Podcast.

At twenty-four years old, after years of fruitless dieting, Cassy found herself with extreme joint pain, fatigue, mental fog, and at her largest, most uncomfortable size. In an effort to learn more about why her health was declining, she took to nutrition research. After just one year of implementing her newfound wellness practices, she had lost ten dress sizes, lived pain-free, and experienced more energy than ever before. Eager to share her healthy living secrets with the world, she started Fed + Fit in 2011.

Since then, she has become a nutrition consultant and leads people through her Fed+Fit Project each month so that they, too, can achieve their health and wellness goals without ever dieting again. She also regularly shares valuable free information on her weekly podcast, blog, YouTube series, and social media outlets.

I was so excited about this book, it was not bad, but not what I expected either. It had a few decent recipes, but mostly was a guide to healthy meal planning and it was good for that.

Cassy Joy has written an AMAZING book to Kickstart ANYONE'S health & fitness journey! Whether you're starting for the first time on your own journey or already have a plan in place, this 28-day plan will bring amazing benefits to all of us! I recently completed my first round of the Whole30 Elimination Plan and found this book during my round. Now that my round is complete, and following my reintroduction phase, I plan to start her 28-day plan in a couple weeks. If you're not familiar with the Whole30 elimination plan (created my Melissa Urban & Dallas Hartwig), Cassy Joy's plan carries so many similarities. I love how she shares her wisdom and expertise and her paleo recipes are delicious! She meets all levels of cooking experience and makes it easy! If you haven't found her blog and website yet, I highly encourage it - she's fantastic!! Cassy: If you ever write a book about the science behind food and our bodies, I would 110% read it! 🤞👍🥰

I have enjoyed both of Cassy Joy Garcia's other cookbooks : Cook Once Eat All Week and Cook Once Dinner Fix. Lately I have been doing a lot of reading and research on food plans that focus on whole foods and all natural sweeteners. I was very excited to find her entry into the paleo world. Her recipes were simple to follow and used ingredients I already have at home and can easily access. Her Chicken Tikka Masala, BBQ Chicken Potato Casserole and Beef Stroganoff are all about to go onto my food plan for next week.

Greats ideas. Great plan. It is another book for me that will work REALLY well when I no longer have five children at home needing me. However, the recipes I can follow already. I have tried a couple and they are great, so this is definitely a keeper that I will revisit often!

Wonderful recipes! The first part of the book of "how-to" and "why" is a bit lengthy.

I liked the first narrative part of the book and think it is valuable information. The sections on how much water a person really needs and how many hours of sleep are especially pertinent to health. ( I never really thought about a person's size should be a factor in how much water they need- duh!) I like the overall idea of the 28 days, but with the holidays coming up am not willing to commit just yet. I am going to try out a few recipes and play with the idea of omitting certain types of foods all together. I am not much of a try new recipes kind of cook so this is a big step for me, especially with my very picky children. We shall see how it goes and if I like the baby steps I will progress from there! Thanks Cassy!

Reading lots of healthy eating books and this one hit all the questions on compare contrast with Clean Eating vs Whole 30 vs Paleo...also some good basics on exercise! Love the recipes, shopping lists and details on tools needed. Will use as a great reference from here out this year!

An excellent book, especially for those who have read the Whole30 program book by Melissa Hartwig. Great recipes, with TONS of information about the science behind these recommendations.
