A disgruntled heiress and a sexy Scottish laird are drawn together by a determined ghost whose love—and magic—reach beyond the grave.

Siobhan Macquire looked for the right man all her life—someone who’d love her, not her money. Heiress to a whiskey fortune, she attracted a string of men out to drain her for everything they could get. Her last boyfriend was no exception. Despondent about being used—again—she goes for a walk in the Highlands to think things through, determined to alter her pick-a-loser pattern.

She wanders alone for hours with the weather steadily growing worse—except there don’t seem to be any nearby villages anymore. Soaking wet and scared, she’s relieved when someone calls out to her, and a stunning man emerges from the mist. Except when she looks closer, there’s a whole lot wrong. His kilt is way too long, and he talks with an archaic accent.

Is it possible she’s not only lost in the countryside, but also in time?

Didn't like this book at all, the heroine did nothing but swear which for me is off putting and the hero was weak.

I’ve had a few of Ann Gimpel’s novels on my Kindle for a little while, and added this book earlier in December. I’m glad I got round to one of them eventually. I’m hoping it won’t be anywhere near as long before the next one.

Aidan MacTavish, a druid, is mourning the loss his fae wife, Moira. She didn’t survive childbirth and disappeared into the Dreaming, ceasing to exist in the earthly world. Moira can see the future and knows it’s time Aidan moved on with his life. She predicts he will meet a woman who he is destined to marry, so he must let her go and begin to live again.

Siobhan Macquire, heiress to the Macquire Whiskey Empire, is in the Scottish Highlands having been persuaded to pay for his trip home by the latest in a long line of mercenary boyfriends. Sam, as she is known to friends and family, is drifting through life without much of a purpose. She has been on her own for the majority of time since she and Clint arrived in Scotland and has all but decided to fly home alone.

While out for a walk she finds her self lost on the moors in the midst of a fierce storm. As thunder rolls and lightning flashes, she becomes completely disorientated and unable to find her way back. When a tall, handsome Scotsman in period dress, appears out of the mist Sam is glad to see another person despite his strange appearance and manner of speech.

A short but hot and steamy romance, threaded through with magic and wonderfully described characters and scenery. A dashing, handsome hero and an independent, feisty heroine. Not to mention a spirit determined to intervene for the best of reasons. I’m still loving time travel stories so this hit the spot, especially with the mystical aspect and I really enjoyed curling up by the fire with this novella. I love the cover, too.

This Book had me hooked from the beginning! Siobhan Macquire is a rich whiskey heiress that has been looking for love in all the wrong places. In this latest romantic farce she finds herself in Scotland dumping the latest money grubber. She takes off to the Highlands to walk off some steam. In the midst of a terrible storm she realizes she is lost and wandering. She is found by one gorgeous hunk of man. When he talks he sounds really funny to her and to him she makes no sense. He wonders if she is mentally challenged and vows to see her safely back to her kin. They realize that she was transported from the twenty-first century back to the eighteenth century. I thought she took the idea of being in the past pretty well. I know I would probably be freaking out. The sexual tension between the two is growing daily. It is funny how she is having a harder time with that aspect of things than he is. They are so good together and I loved the way things worked out. I've always had a fondness for old world Scotland and magic and I got both. There is a lot more excitement and twists in this story, but I didn't want to spoil any of the fun for anyone else. Do NOT miss reading this book. It was fantastic!! I received a copy of this book free in exchange for an honest review.

I received an advanced copy from the author in exchange for a honest review. I thought it would take me the whole weekend to read this book, I was really wrong. I finished this book the same day I started reading it because I couldn't put it down, sleep be forgotten to put nicely.......

Ann Gimpel draws you in instantly and you can't help but want to know what is going to happen to next. Siobhan or Sam as she calls herself is sassy and pretty much the typical out of luck woman of today. She's easy to relate to. Aidan is the man we all want, but just doesn't exist in this day and time anymore. The two really are well suited for each other. I don't like to include spoilers in my reviews, but I will say that his deceased wife's meddling and tormenting scenes are sometimes funny and are part of the magic of Ms. Gimpel. This is the classic tale of time travel to find your perfect soul mate with superb writing.

At times I almost felt like I was watching a movie in my head, which to me means Ms. Gimpel is an excellent descriptive author because she is able to hypnotize the reader and bring them into the story. I highly recommend this story and any other by this excellent author.

Siobhan is an unlucky gal. In one afternoon, she gets lost and ends up in the 1790's Scottish Highlands. When Aidan shows up, kilt and all, she is thrust into a world completely unlike the one she's used to.

Aidan is a widowed mage, who has shrouded himself in loneliness during the prime of his life. The spirit of his dead wife convinces him to give love another chance.

As always, Gimpel creates a world of mysticism and magic, a place where reality and fantasy blurs lines. Quick dialogue, snappy pacing, and beautiful description makes Shadows in Time one of Gimpel's best works. I was first introduced to this novella in a prior edition, but Gimpel expanded the tale and breathed even more air into an already refreshing tale that I found myself completely absorbed even reading it for the third time. (Yes, it's THAT good.)

A woman, out of pace with her 21st Century acquaintances and family, finds herself rambling on the moors in Scotland, drenched by a thunderstorm and scared of the oncoming darkness, as she had lost her way.
Then iut of the mist steps a man. Dressed in 18th century clothing, he tried to reassure and assist the woman, Sam. However, the lack of 20th century technology, only made her more concerned. Had she stepped back in time?
How would you cope with a problem such as this? Sam's story is worth reading.

Shadows in Time is a nice time travel romance that takes Sam from 2015 and places her into 1790's Scottish Highlands. Scrambling to figure out what happened, Sam runs into Aidan, a Scottish Druid that offers to help her return to her modern life. Before they can find a way mutual attraction threatens to get in the way. Will Sam find a way back home or follow her heart and remain by Aidan's side? Only regrets - story is too short to fully develop and crude language is a bit of a turn off. Otherwise good story and worth the read.

A DELIGHTFULLY MAGICAL READ !!!
Title: Shadows in Time
Author: Ann Gimpel
Designation: Highland Time Travel Romance, Standalone Novella, NO Cliffhanger
My Rating: FIVE MAGICAL STARS*****
Wow! Ann Gimpel, where have you been hiding? I'm not sure how on earth I've managed to miss the writing of such a talented author but I'm so glad that I've finally found Ann Gimpel. This is the second story I've read by Gimpel and it certainly won't be my last. I am now a fan for life. Shadows in Time is a sultry, seductive, exquisitely written romance laced with the perfect amount of mind-bending fantasy, wondrous magic, phenomenal time-travel and alluringly sweet romance. I was immediately drawn into the story and remained completely enthralled until the very last line. The narrative is exceptionally well written and well edited in the third person with alternating his and her points of view. The dialogue is authentic, well executed, almost lyrical and flows beautifully. Yeah, I know, I'm such a romantic but for me, there is absolutely nothing sexier than a man who speaks Scottish Gaelic. Sigh....just so dreamy! This is very much a character driven story and the two protagonists featured in this saga are simply magnificent. They are captivating, engaging, endearing and sometimes even humorous. Although this is a relatively short novella, we still learn a lot about our their lives. Important parts of their pasts are revealed through the progression of the story and since this is a time-travel romance, this becomes an integral part of the development of the story. Gimpel skillfully combines these elements into a hypnotically entertaining fantasy/time-travel romance.

Beautiful Siobhan Macquire, heiress to the Macquire Whiskey fortune, seems to have a real knack for two things: living up to her fiery Irish heritage and always picking the wrong man and unfortunately, the combination of both has resulted in her now being miserable and alone - again. But this time, she has really gone out on a limb and wound up in Scotland. Having decided to go on a ramble - as the locals called it - Sam finds herself lost and stranded on the Moors of Scotland during a terrible electrical storm. After hours of walking and finding no one, she finally happens upon a strange handsome Scotsman dressed in ancient Scottish garb who introduces himself as Aidan MacTavish of Clan MacTavish. Unfortunately, Aidan is not as strange and mysterious as Sam originally thought. It's actually her and her current predicament that is strange and very troubling. It seems that she has somehow been transported from the year 2015, back in time to the year 1790 with her fate now being controlled by a matchmaking spirit. Huh? Oh yes and this spirit is none other than Aidan's deceased Fae wife, Moira! Oh my!
Handsome Druid, Aidan MacTavish has mourned the loss of his beloved wife Moira for over a year and it has become obvious that she's determined for him to move on with his life by finding another wife - one who can give him lots of bairns. But what he never expected is for her to actually play matchmaker and certainly never expected her to go so far as to transport a bride for him from the future. Oh my! What's a druid Scottish Laird to do? Why fall in love, of course! Will two lonely souls, one from the past and one from the future, somehow manage to conquer time to find the love they both so desperately seek? We'll see! No spoilers from me but I will say this...Handsome sexy Scotsman-check! Beautiful, fiery, stubborn lass from the future-check! A meddlesome spirit-check! Time travel, a little troublesome angst and a magical romance-you bet! That and a lot more! This is a standalone novella and does not end in a cliffhanger. Deliciously sweet and delightfully entertaining!

Could have been better...

Why such a low rating ? It started interesting w/him being a Druid ,his Fae wife who'd passed over encouraging him to find new love,w/her supposedly going to send a woman just right for him his way.... Then Sam/Siobhan wandered into the moors lost and confused ( upset over a D bag guy) ( as per usual) and also per usual thinks he's crazy and everyone is a Reenacting or something at 1st and is scared and confused and things that make ppl think she's either odd, simple or touched in the head...
Aiden though confused on her origins wants her immediately, and it torn between trying to keep her, sending her home ( where ever that may be and or trying to find this woman I his wife is supposedly sending his way.... Well she gets to him like no other even after she convinces him she's from the future, and while I was happy to have that bridge crossed sooner rather than later I didn't realize at the time that with going soo easily we were losing what TRUE conflict we had in the story and what was left was just going to long drawn out frustration ;( the rest of the book was just one l o n g drawn out tease... Gggggrrrrrrrr ;( what do I mean ? Well while Sam tries to acclimate herself to her new time and spend time reading from his vast and huge library ( good/lucky thing she'd had an odd urge to take Latin while going for her MBA in business ? ) trying too figure out what to do w/herself.. Ok fine but that's basically it the rest of the book is either Aiden trying confer w/a fellow Druid on how send her back or us listening to his need constant frustrated horny urges towards Sam that he refuses to act on because he wants to be noble and send her back... Well that might sound all well and good but after the initial beginning that's honestly all that's really left of the plot, her lusting after him,him lusting after her touching himself instead ( and while I can enjoy sometimes hearing/reading about a well described self pleasuring of the male persuasion ( don't enjoy reading about a woman doing it) it honestly just felt like one long sexual tease where you know nothing is gonna happen between the MC's til the end of the book ... The chemistry was ok to good when they were together but Aiden was soo lustful towards her and soo slow on the up take of everything he avoided her most the book, leaving her thinking he had no interest most of the time,it felt stupid and silly and even though they'd supposedly had long talks about her life in the future it never felt like it brought them closer together or that they REALLY got to know each other, just two ppl running from their lust til Bam! Finally at the end of the book everyone gets a clue and she's gonna stay and their finally gonna give in to their lust for each other.... By the time it ended I cared enough to see it through but I still felt frustrated, not much to the story ,just lots of frustrated lust drawn out w/out much story in between ...
It was ok, I liked Aiden and Sam was ok,but there wasn't much to there story, just drawn out sexual frustration, will not be reading again... Had promise but never was fulfilled...

Shadows in TimeShadows in Time: Highland, Time-Travel RomanceAnn Gimpel

Reviewed by SFF Dragon

2015 meets 1790 in the form of Siobhan and Aidan as cultures clash and love blossoms in the highlands. I loved it.

I love Ann Gimpel's books, they're always so well written and regardless of genre she never disappoints. 'Shadows in Time', a stand alone time-travel romance is no exception and I was given a copy by the author in exchange for an honest review. Once I started reading I got so engrossed in the story I couldn't put it down, really didn't want to and incidents involving credit cards and trousers had me laughing out loud.

It's 1790, exactly a year to the day since Druid mage and highland Laird Aidan MacTavish lost his beloved wife Moira in childbirth, her mostly Fae body vanishing in a ball of light as she crossed to the dreaming, their son dying just hours later and he's been grieving ever since. But Moira keeps haunting his dreams so he goes to the cave where his magic is strongest and is told by his late wife that he must move on. He will meet a woman he must marry and carry on his life with her. With new hope and a spring in his step, he decides she's right and he'll start by going to Inverness for the night, have a drink or two and a meal. On the way there he stumbles upon a lone woman lost in the storm and thinking she's a bit simple, takes her with him. He doesn't understand a lot of what she says and thinks she's even more mentally challenged when she doesn't believe he's taken her to Inverness but to something called a re-enactment camp instead.

It's 2015 and Siobhan Macquire, better known as Sam, has had enough of men who are only interested in her for her money. Taking a walk in the highlands to think things through and decide what to do about the latest money-grubbing user, the one who persuaded her to come to Scotland with talk of marriage, she gets lost is a storm and is just beginning to panic, thinking she'll never get back to Inverness when a kilted man appears and offers to guide her there. She's seriously unimpressed with his attitude and the camp he takes her to is nothing like Inverness. Where are all the lights, the cars, the buildings, and why is the road cobbled? She is not a happy bunny!

Without giving spoilers, I loved this story about the rich heiress stuck centuries in the past and laughed at the clash of cultures between Aidan and Siobhan as they realise what's happened and try to work out a way to get her back to her own time, falling in love along the way. Filled with great characters and funny moments, there is a happily ever after for them in the end, and although it's not a time I'd ever want to live in, I absolutely loved the story. This is another winner from Ann Gimpel.

Slip through the shadows straight into the arms of love

Shadows in Time is a fairly short, quick and satisfying read. I’ve come to expect magical reads and out of this world themes from Ms. Gimpel. She hasn’t failed to deliver yet. Shadows in Time brings heiress Siobhan “Sam” Macquire back to the highlands of 1790. You would think a trip in time would be magical enough. Not so. Perhaps it’s just what this groundless heiress needs to find direction in her life. All of her money and degrees certainly aren’t doing the trick. Neither are the countless scores of men who pursue her for her wealth. Is it too much to ask for just one that loves her for herself? Then a walk through the soggy marshes of Scotland during a very unnatural storm drop her into the arms of a man who will haunt her days and nights with longing. But does he want her in turn?

Laird Aidan MacTavish isn’t your standard highland Laird. A Druid, his life is immersed in magic from the care of his lands to his people. He is the steward of their well-being. His dreams are haunted by his beloved fae wife, Moira and she has a message for him… it’s time to move on from grieving and take a new wife. Well, as soon as he’s figured out how to return his visitor from the twentieth century to her own time he’ll get right on that. But lord it’s hard to ignore this slip of a woman in her breeks. And, as good as she feels in his arms he knows that to dally there might forever ruin her chances to return home if she forms any connections in this time. But avoidance isn’t going to provide a solution to Moira’s meddling. But perhaps love will.

What greater gift can a ghost give the man that means everything to her than a future with someone that will love him with everything in her? Definitely worth a search through the shadows in time to find just the right woman. Shadows in Time is a wonderful blend of paranormal, fantasy and romance you’ll surely enjoy.

Ahhh Siobhan. You have had no luck with men have you girl? They are all users and after your family money. What are you going to do?
Well, you are loaded. How about a trip to the Scottish Highlands? It is a beautiful and wild country, full of history and magic. Just the place to blow the cobwebs out of your head and get you back on track. Just don't be out wandering the moors at night, you could get lost.
Oops! I guess she didn't listen to me. Poor Siobhan, or Sam as she is known to her close friends and family, ends up getting lost, and I mean really REALLY lost on the moors of the Scottish Highlands. As in while out walking in a storm she ends up 200 years in the past lost.
Ahhh but don't you fret, she gets to meet up with a sexy Scottish Druid Laird in the form of one Aidan MacTavish.
Yes, I know Aidan just recently lost his love Moira. But, this sexy laird cannot remain alone. He needs to find love again.Who better to help him than Sam?
Now I know you are thinking I am as addled brained as some of the villagers think Aidan is, but I'm not. Moira, the lovely ghostly fae may be in the dreaming but she doesn't want her love to be alone. She wants him to have the love of a woman who is not afraid of him. Obviously the village women are out of the question, they may love their laird but they are also a little leery of him due to his Druid magic.
So Moira does what any good and loving wife would do. She weaves a spell from the dreaming and brings Sam from the future to Aidan in the 1700's.
Ann Gimpel has written a light, magical story full of hope and promise; beauty and humor. Shadows in Time is a great way to while away a rainy afternoon or a cold winters night.
I was given an ARC copy for an honest review, and once I read it I had to go and buy it as well. Who can resist a story that has a sexy gaelic laird, magic, laughs and a match making ghost? Not me, and not you either.

Shadows in Time
Highland Time-Travel
By Ann Gimpel
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I received an ARC copy in exchange for my honest opinion in a review.
This is a magnificent time travel read! I have enjoyed reading Ann Gimpel books. aIl of Ann Gimpel hooks you on the first page. You can't stop reading this book until you are finish. The flow and pace to this book is awesome and well written. Her characters are magical, amazing, powerful, exhilarating and leaps to life right off the pages. The storyline is fascinating, humorous and mind-blowing. I have been a fan of her books for a long time. I can say you will want to finished this book the same day you start reading it. Food, children, house hold chores are all forgotten while you read this story. The storyline is so exciting that you can't help but to keep turning the pages, so that you are surprised that you are at the end. The scenes description is sensual, excellent, realistic and creative.

Siobhan Macquire aka (Sam) is rich, witty, independent beautiful and sassy. But so far she has pick only horrible guys who just wants her the money no matter how she tries to hide her parents wealth. She travels back to 1790 where she meets Aidan Of Clan MacTavish.
Aidan is a Arch Druid and man that you want to fantasizes about. His wife is fae but she died from the human realm in child birth and she wants him remarry. Sam and Aidan is made for each other. Ann infuses the story with magic and with her golden pen created a SPECTACULAR book.

This is a perfect read to experience what a bit of magic and strong love can do in this novel. Very few authors can pull me to read time travel novels anymore unless it has the right combo to tempt me. Over the years read so many it was hard to find a interest because some started losing their magic. This author by chance I found she hooked me with her ability to capture my interest then ensnare me right along with the character.Having come to the Highlands with a boyfriend an over time lost it's luster and certain things revealed, Siobhan or Sam goes for a walk to get a way with just a backpack but soon finds self getting more frustrated then their is wet, then fog and she meets up with a voice that belongs to a really fine man. Thing is his voice along with dress or manner of makes her think she come upon a actor of sorts but oh my he is fine. Humor of course he will think she is the one out of sorts and Aidan being the man he is will come to her aide. Right away I begin to put myself in hr shoes and wonder what I would of thought or done but realize I really want to know what this author has in store for me because I want to follow along with their story that soon has me lost in time with them. It is soon revealed piece by piece with riding every minute of it. This author does what is hard for most to have me find in this type of novel is true enjoyment of seeing love and magic at work with it being stronger then and less so in this modern day time. Anticipation will come and go with coming to see what these two will do and who will have the love that is truly desired when it is all said and done.

I'd forgotten the author gave me a copy in exchange for an honest review; until she sent an email telling us that the book was now live on Amazon. I wanted to finish the books I had already started so raced through them over the last 2 days and managed to finish this one in one day. I have to admit, this was a very easy book to read due to the fact that I love time travel books. I always like to read about the vast differences in lifestyles and cultures. As a modern woman traveling back to the late 1700's, Siobhan or Sam as she is known back home, was in for a shock when she comes to terms with the fact that she was somehow transported back over 200 years. Back to a time where women were not outspoken or free to do what they please. Lucky for her, she meets Aidan. Or was it luck?

Aidan is surpised to find a woman, dressed like a boy, on the moors during a storm. One who acts and talks strangely. Someone he thinks is a bit addled, but also attractive. Having lost his wife a year ago, and just coming to the decision to move forward with his life, he was told he would meet someone new, but it didn't occur to him that she would be from the future.

Add in a twist of magic and matchmaking from the beyond, and you have a great romantic novella. I feel sorry for her parents back in the 21st century, but given she was moving through life aimlessly while seeking love and marriage, and never finding it, drastic measures were called for. Who better than a lonely laird who lost his first love and child during childbirth? If you're looking for a sweet, short read, this is a good one.

I was given this book in exchange for and honest review. I loved this book! It was everything you would want in a time-travel romance. I'm so glad that found Ann Gimpel's books. She is so amazing!

We have Siobhan who is an heiress to a whiskey fortune. She is tired of men who only want her for her money. She's in Scotland with her latest boyfriend who talked her into going and them just leaves her hanging after they arrive. She's out walking one night on the moors and somehow walks back through time. She meets a Scottish laird and the sparks fly.

Aiden is still reeling from his wife's death, but she has told him that he will soon meet a woman and that he is to start living again. He of course doesn't believe her but goes along with her vision of the future. He finds her out walking alone on the moors and offers his help. He doesn't realize yet that she if from a different time, but he soon realizes that he can't live without her.

The chemistry between these two is amazing and the plot carries through and makes the story awesome. If you like time-travel romance then this is the book for you.

Ann does a good job of making you feel like your right there with the characters and pulls you in for a wonderful journey.

I was given a free copy of Shadows In Time by Ann Gimpel in exchange for an honest review. I am a huge fan of Ann Gimpel’s books. Again Ann has done it again. Ann is a marvelous story teller. This is a story of a heiress living in the present. She is in Scotland with a “boyfriend”. She goes for a walk and there is a strange storm and she finds herself still in Scotland in a field in the middle of nowhere and she cannot figure out where she is. As she wonders around she is rescued by a man, Aidan, who is very polite and offers to help her. When they arrive in the village she finds out that she is in the 18th century and has no idea how she got there. She eventually has to decide if she wants to return to the present or stay in the 18th century with Aidan. As is Ann’s style she captures the reader in her stories and makes you feel part of the action as the story progresses. Her descriptions of the people and places are so vivid that these images seem to come to life in your mind. Another great read by Ann Gimpel. A perfect book to curl up with on a winter’s evening.

Aiden MacTavish's first wife was Fae. When she went into the dreaming after dying in childbirth, she was determined to find him a new wife even from the future. Sam (Siobhan) Macquire of the whiskey barons Macquire was out on a ramble when she lost her way. Little did she know the ramble took her a lot further than just a couple of miles but also a couple hundred years. Aiden tries to help Sam find a way home against his better wishes and his evergrowing desire. When he has a solution, he offers up the choice to Sam. Will Sam take Aiden's offer of magic to travel back home to her own time? Or will she finally succumb to what Aiden's dead wife wants from them both, to stay and start a family? Great story, great characters, fantastic sex scenes. If you like myths, magic, Scotland and a great story, do not pass this one by. Enjoy! I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Two people that have it all, but lack companionship. One a druid in the past mourning for his lost love and one in modern day walking in loneliness because she can't find love. The lost love that will thrust these two together for her love is so great that she would see her druid find love again.

Sam is lost in the Moors of the Highlands and suddenly finds herself pushed back in time and though she longs for the modern day technologies, she finds herself longing to stay.

Aidan is still mourning the death of his love after a year, until he finds the strange lass walking the Moors alone in the rain and he finds his dead libido has decided to come to life once again.

Will Moira's match making work?

Very touching and magical story...Had me sighing for that moment, almost as much as Sam....LOL

she did it again. i only recently discovered Ann but jeesh do i love her writing. it doesn't matter if it's dystopian, dragons or anything else. i'm just devouring as much as i can handle.
with this book she once more proved how much of a master she is at weaving a story, this time even traveling through time. or rather a fae that wants her grieving husband to find happiness and the joy of children. it doesn't matter to her for that to happen she has to whisk a non suspecting siobhan from 2015 and drop her in 1870!!
things are almost literately sizzling between siobhan and her highland lord/druid.

it was a wonderful and addicting read. i wouldn't mind that fae turning into a mischievous matchmaker now she had a first success (hint hint!!)

Ann Gimpel does it again! A must read! What a story! Its so well written I felt like I could see and feel right along with the characters. Siobhan or Sam as she goes by, gets lost in the highlands on a rainy miserable day and meets Aidan. Things go awry from there. She finds out she is not in her time and has to deal with a ghost trying to push her and Aiden together. The romance and the sexy scenes will have you wanting more.

I was given this e-book by the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. My conclusions are my own. I was not compensated in any way.

This book was garbage. The story went nowhere and the ending left a lot to be desired. The author should have spent more time on the plot and the ending and less time on the graphic descriptions about the heroine's sexual fantasies and the hero actually gratifying himself sexually. I'm no prude and I enjoy a good sexy love story but sometimes less is more. Some of this bordered on porn and it disgusted me. If the story were exceptional, maybe I could have forgiven it, but it went nowhere. I'm amazed that this author has "best sellers".

Aiden has spent the last year mourning the loss of his wife, who is trying to tell him it's time to move on.

Siobhan has had a bad time with men lately and end up going for a walk in the Highlands, and manages to end up 200 years in the past.

He thinks she is a bit crazy and she thinks he is some strange play actor, but they are so attracted to one another. Can they figure things out and follow their hearts or will she go back to her own time?

It is a very sweet romance. Sam has no luck in love in her current century and is sent back in time to meet the man who can give her the love she needs. Aidan lost the love of his life and is equally shocked to find the possibility of love again. The story is full of love and really leaves you feeling happy. The characters have great chemistry. It is a quick read and very enjoyable.

I received a copy in return for a honest review.

I was looking for a good time-travel romance and this was on my recommendation list. The story was a quick easy read. The only thing I did not like was that I just wanted more romance in the story. It moved too fast for me to fall in love.

Siobhan and Aidan's is a sweet love story.
Sam has it all in the future, wealth, fancy degrees, but no love.
Aidan has wealth, lands and castle, his wife has passed and he has no heirs.
Through magic his late fae wife brings Sam to the past to help Aidan find love again.
