This book took me by complete surprise, it is not like any of the other authors books, which just goes to show how diverse she is with her writing. The book has lots of twists and turns and is a fabulous read. I could not put it down. Its a very well written book. I loved it and recommend it.

I really enjoyed this book. I started it and had it finished withing 24 hours. I just couldn't put it down. If you enjoy super powerful biological adaptations such as X-Men or Marvel's In-humans this is definitely for you. The sheltered life, the truth coming out, I can't wait to read book 2. I need to know how the characters go forward in their new lives.

Review:
This is the first book in a supernatural thriller in the Merge series. As with most supernatural stories that I have read, this book starts off with a bunch of questions. I am hoping that the author reveals everything in the remaining books. I liked this story and it reminded me a little of The Maze Runner by James Dashner. So far no monsters, unless you count humans, (I think they are humans) but there are experiments on children. There is also a budding romance in this story and obviously a cliffhanger. It is written from the points of view of both Kaitlyn and Isaac as they try to figure out what is happening to their lives.
The plot of this story is exciting and you get the feeling that the lives of these young adults has been and will be nothing but lies. There is a definite chemistry between the main characters Kaitlyn and Isaac, but in stories like this, you never know who to trust or what is real until the end. The pacing in the beginning was a little slow, but as the story progressed it became fast and full of suspense. The ending was not really an ending, but a cliffhanger, leaving you wanting more of the story. Sorry you have to wait for book 2 not sure at this time how many books there will be. The character development was steady, but we still have so many questions about who or what these characters are.

The Merge by KC Royale is a book that has captivated my attention from the beginning to the end. I have never read a thriller book and I took a chance and checked this book out. In this book we meet Kaitlyn and Isaac both are two teenagers who have had their freedom taken from them the minute they turned sixteen years old.
Kaitlyn was just like any other teenage girl, life with friends and having the best of time until one day she was told that was all about to change. Locked in a community where she was not allowed to go outside or play with any children her own age Kaitlyn is curious about what is happening around her.
Isaac is a boy that has been forever trusting of his parents and loved them dearly. Until one day while his parents were away and he accidentally stumbled upon some information that would change everything he once knew.
On the day of their eighteenth birthday all secrets will be revealed. Will Kaitlyn and Isaac be able to break the control that the secret organization has on them? Or is it all doomed to fail? Will they come out of this in one piece or will lives be forever lost and altered? To find the answers to these questions then please by all means check out this amazing book that is great for anyone of any age.

This book is one that will be very unexpected to KC fans new and old. This book takes you on one hell journey, and I just hope that you all are ready. Enjoy!!!

Find out why the community always seems to be empty and why aren't any kids allowed to have friends or even go outside to play. At the age of 16 they are pulled out of public school to be home schooled, then when they turn 18 they are in for the surprise of their life.
Kaitlyn has always wondered why they weren't like other families, and when she finds out the truth about her parents actually stole her as a baby she also learns that she and the other kids are a product of science. They are all put through testing in which either they wake up from or die.
Kaitlyn is now having visions and can read minds. It seems that people are trying to hunt down Kaitlyn and Isaac. Together they find the other compound completely closed down and finally being tracked down and brought back. Kaitlyn has one question for Mr. Lakers,
why is she the only girl to survive The Merge.
KC Royale has definitely set the bar with this extremely action packed thriller and I can't wait to see what happens next!
