Rain had only been in love once in her life and it was the kind of love that held onto you so tight that nothing could erase it from your life, not even time or distance.
Back in Atlanta after six years Rain was focused on one thing and that was finding the one person who ever truly owned her heart, Theory.
Never mind the fact that she moved there with her current situation Jamel, because honestly that was all he would ever be.
Theory knew from the from the first time he laid eyes on Rain that she owned his heart. She was the only thing he loved more than the streets that controlled him, so when Rain disappeared from his life he did the only thing he could and just survived. The streets became his priority and women became his past time.
Now she's back, and things are as they should be, but will the choices that Theory made affect their chance to finally get it right?

I don't even know where to start with this book. I was hooked from the very first page. I loved Theory and Rain relationship and one they found each other it was like they never left each other. Lani is something else I can't believe she was that petty. I'm about to start part 2.
Great book love most of the characters. It was easy to follow along. It flowed good and I was so wrapped up in it or didn't want it to end. Definitely a must read!
Good read the relationship between Rain and Theory seemed genuine for the most part it still needed room to really get there but it was great to see the reconnection. The next one should be good based off the ending but I’m hoping the next one will bring a bit more into play with them.
I swear the way this story flowed was perfect, I loved this history between Rain and Theory, it's like they never left..I understand Lani was upset but getting Rain fired was low... I hope they make it to him in time...
This is a really good series so far and i hope that rain and theory can get past all the obstacles they're dealing with. So many enemies lurking around them but i hope they come out on top
Love how deep Rain and Theory's love for each other was. I also like how Diamond was not on mess as her and Rain became friends. Love how Theory was upfront and honest with her about his past. Now it's war once Theroy get back right!!
It took me a while to get to this book, but was well worth the wait, I just love Theory and Rain's love for each other. I have this nagging feeling that Niles have something to do with Theory getting shot, but I hope I'm wrong. Can't wait to read book 2!
I love the story line and it’s a great read it has me rushing to read book 2 I do feel like Theory shouldn’t rush things with Rain because he does have a lot going on, and that he should get his situations in order before starting something new
This story right here had every element that you could think of to make it complete. It was like a superb pot of gumbo, with just the right amount of handsome hero, sexy heroine, humorous supporting cast and the right dosage if intrigue, drama, and heartache; all equaling up to a big ole pot of "Literary Excellence!". As always Ms. Mills in all of her professionalism knocked another homerun out of the park. She gave us just enough of Theory and Rain's back story to slowly but surely draw us in, and right when you thought you could put the book down and get some work done around the house and return to reading the rest later on, she threw out another lure that trapped you into her literary world hook, line, and sinker. First of all how creative was it of her to use the names Theory and Rain. Either way you put it you get the true meaning of their relationship and the depth of their feelings just by saying their names, RAIN'S THEORY and THEORY'S RAIN!!! In a nutshell with two words she conveyed to the reader that she was his and he was hers. Such depth and thought that was invoked from just this point alone. Rain struck as being the more damaged of the two. While they both grew up under horrific circumstances, Rain made it out and had the luxury of being adopted by a family who loved her and wanted what was best for her. In spite of this she carried scars that did not allow her to connect with others like the average person and she was never able to fully give herself to Jamel because she wasn't complete without Theory. He held the other half of her soul and only he had the sacred key to unlock the impenetrable wall she had erected around her heart. I know I am all in my feelings with this review but this is the level of thought provoking meditation that Ms. Mills was effortlessly able to pull out of me. I cannot express how much I absolutely loved this book and believe me when I say if I could give this book 100 stars I would without hesitation!!! I look forward to learning more about Diamond, Niles, and Frank. Hopefully Detroit Washington will turn out to be an upstanding man and recognize the wrongs that he has perpetrated on behalf of his spoiled brat imbecilic daughter!!! I don't see Alex slinking her stinky weave wearing behind away quietly and Jamel strikes me as the type that could turn into a obsessive stalker. The only bad thing that I can say about Rain is the fact that she used Jamel and strung him along when she knew that her heart would never belong to him. As a result of this she will probably have an uphill battle trying to completely disentangle herself from this jelly back man. Again overall this was SUPERB, EXCELLENT, PERFECTION AT ITS BEST!!!!! GO GET IT, GO GET IT, GO GET IT!!!!! YOU WILL NIT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!!
K.C. you are the SHISH as usual you have another CERTIFIED BANGER on your hands. This book had me in my feelings I love the way it flowed and the concept of the book was on point. Theory is that MAN I love his cockiness it was such a turn on how he took control of situations. What I love most about this book was how no matter how much time passed Rain never gave up finding or loving Theory and his love never wavered either. Lani needs her butt kicked for what she did to Rain and I hope she gets that and more. Diamond is a breath a fresh air and I am glad Rain opened up to their friendship growing up with no one it's good to have someone finally in your corner. I cannot wait for the next installment I hope everything works out for Theory and Rain they come to far to be apart.
A good storyline and plot. Theory & Rain share a troubled childhood. Both grew up in the foster care system and an abusive foster home. Rain was adopted and able to finished school, plus get her dream job as a photographer. And Theory was successful in the streets but had enemies gunning for him. After six years, Thee & Rain are reunited and commit to one another. But will their bond of love be strong enough for the drama from the scorned exes/stalkers?
Although this novel was interesting, the amount of misspelled words and grammatical errors took away from the flow of the story. Definitely invest in a proofreader/editor for assistance. It's 3.5 stars.
This is my 1st book by K.C. Mills and I have to say I enjoyed the story and also finished the book in 3 hours, I like the storyline, as well as the 2 main characters Rain and Theory. The heart wants what it wants and no matter who they are with they can't help the feeling of wanting to be with each other. Lani is up to something, Alex and Jamel we will hear from them again and I hope part 2 doesn't take to long to come out.
Man 's. Mills always has me in my feelings after reading one of her books. Why you leave us hanging like that? All I'm going to say is if you haven't already bought or read this book do it ASAP. You will not be disappointed, great story n writing...This author never disappoints, well until you get to the end of one of her books n she leaves you hanging, guessing n wondering. Pleasssssseeeee hurry with the next part to this.....DAMN
Solid story. That young love is nothing to mess with. I'm glad Rain and Theory reconnected but you already know there is some jealous ex who won't move on. What sucks is her daddy got power. So now we have Theory's ex after Rain and haters after Theory. Hope the couple makes it.
Wow! I was all in from the beginning. It started out good. I love all the characters. It was really getting good when it ended. My only issue is all the errors throughout the book. That is so annoying and will lose points for it. But, it's a good story so I will keep reading.
Wow true don't die I'm a firm believer .......The CHARACTERS in this book is Awesome I'm loving me some Rain she's sweet and adorable but most of all she's A strong sista with goals and dreams her beginning couldn't deter...Theory's the man handsome successful thuggish and in love ...STORYLINE got me on the edge of my seat loving it ......
Rain went through a lot to find Theory. Lani was very petty for what she had done to Rain. Her father needs that no way to run a business. To me Niles seems Shady. I hope Theory is okay
Rain reminds me of those ambitious girls that take a bad situation and make it work in their favor. This was my first K.C. Mills read and it won't be the last. Great plot, pen sis!
OMG really this it I need the other book ASAP, This was a great read and I just love Theory and Rain I just know when Theory get better it is going down. K.C. Mills keep up the good work.
This was my first book by this author and I really enjoyed it. Loved Rain and Theory together. I figured Mel and Lani would be problems. Hope Theory will be ok. Can't wait until part two drops.
Who is the publisher ? They could at least proof read since the author apparently didn't . If your hiring holla at me because I'll get the job done ! It was way to many misspelled words
This is good I love a story that reads like a movie you can see everything as is happens. I have to move on to next book and I will leave more details when I finish that one...
It was an ok book good story but both Rain and Theory seemed a bit selfish with no regard to persons feelings.........Lani's dad is unprofessional and shouldn't allow his brat to interfere with businesses
First time ever reading anything by this author. Must say that am interested in to see the rest of her work. Will be going check her other titles out. Great job!
