The author provides very practical, easy-to-read advice (and a step-by-step guide to follow) about how to achieve success, not just in your business but in your life. This is a book about being your best self, about why it's important to be positive, why it's important to take opportunities and set goals, and why setbacks and failures shouldn't be viewed as "the end". In fact, one of the quotes I loved in the book was this one: The author quoted Sara Blakely and her refreshing perspective of failure: “When I was growing up, my dad would encourage my brother and I to fail. We would be sitting at the dinner table and he would ask, ‘So what did you guys fail at this week?’ If we didn’t have something to contribute, he would be disappointed. When I did fail at something, he’d high-five me. What I didn’t realise at the time was that he was completely reframing my definition of failure at a young age. To me, failure means not trying; failure isn’t the outcome. If I have to look at myself in the mirror and say, ‘I didn’t try that because I was scared,’ that is failure.” For most successful people, says the author, failure is just a natural consequence of always striving to improve. ... A great, inspiring book. Read it.
