Spring Forward, Fall Back in Love

Rate this book
The last person Grace Taylor wanted to see was her old boyfriend, Andy Granger, but that's exactly who was standing in front of her on the porch of the ranch. To make matters worse, he was her trail guide. When an unexpected spring storm strands them in a secluded mountain cabin, memories and old feelings emerge. Can Grace keep the secret she'd kept for eight years while at the same time keep Andy at a distance?

I was warned this book would be spicy, but the two love scenes are tastefully written and don't overshadow the plot, which was well thought out.
The story of Grace Taylor returning to her home town of Summit about a week before her new corporate crew shows up for a retreat is perfectly plotted with a believable storyline and great past trauma/past inciting incident to drive the story and conflict. You can tell author Carol Preflatish put the time in to plot this and map out the story beats. Nicely done. Without giving away spoilers, I'll say Andy is a more patient character than I am!
I grabbed this book for Valentine's Day and Indie Book Spotlight content on my BookTube channel.
