Soon to be animated as a three-part theatrical feature, in this volume the hit on-going series further fleshes out its intriguing cast. Learn how the female demi-human "Izumi" can on stage, how a trustworthy friend who left it spent his days, and more.
Gamon Sakurai is a Japanese comic book artist from Tokyo. Born in 1986, Sakurai was selected for the Afternoon Magazine Four Seasons Award for New Comic Artists. Upon being selected for the award his short story was published and he was selected for editorial review by manga publishing giant Kodansha. Sakurai would make his publishing debut with indie publisher Issuisha in 2010, releasing a short story anthology. He would then work with Kodansha to work on his first feature length series AJIN: Demi-human in 2012.
This volume doesn’t have much action, but it excels in character development, making it an engaging read. The story focuses on fleshing out the characters, which keeps you hooked even in the absence of major events.
Each character’s personality is distinct and intriguing, adding layers to the narrative. Izumi, in particular, stands out. We get a deeper look into her past, uncovering how she came to the realization that she was a Demi-human. This revelation adds a new dimension to her character, making her even more compelling.
I'm surprisingly liking this more as it goes, but omg Kei is such a huge dick I'm really wondering if they're going to try to make me like him ... and if that will work. I'm also glad we're getting more of the backstories of the "bad guys" though they're some of the more tragic ones and are making me see them as more human, even as they do inhuman things against the demis.
Great follow up to the best volume. This has our hero training with his IBM to become a better warrior. We also get alot of backstory to multiple characters that help them grow into something amazing. Last but not least we find out what happen to a certain somebody and the ending leaves it up to something interesting.
Overall great world building and character development even if the pacing of the plot has slowed.
This volume is my favorite so far, I like the focus on the characters teaming up and figuring things out. I enjoyed Izumi Simomura chapter but cw for attempted rape. The last chapter brought back an old character and I was happy to see him.
I've grown fond of the art and especially the "ghosts" designs.
I will either wait till later volumes are published in Russia and they are on sale, or read them digitally. I think I prefer to have them digitally, I need to save shelf space.
Tosaki’s group gets organized. We learn more about the sordid life of Shimomura before she met Tosaki. In prison, Kai meets someone who might be helpful later.
You get it, no real action in this one. The most interesting remains Shimomura but overall I just wait for Sato’s next trick.
Ch 25-26 Day One & Genius?
*eh lalu IBM Nakano kayak apa dunk?*
There are very few likable characters in this manga. Most characters are either absolutely horrible people or people that are nice to a point where it's very extreme. The only exception so far really is Izumi and even then we just really don't know her well enough to know otherwise (even with her backstory). It's not necessarily the worst thing and is interesting but some variation would have been nice. That's not even to say that Ajin doesn't deal with complex morality, it does, but it mainly just deals with extremes.
. . . . . . . . L'IBM alato. E ho detto tutto.
Ohhh. Now it’s getting good. Team up alliance, background flashback and Kaito is back. I like that Kei keeps getting called out on his attitude. I’m curious if he’s going to start to change or remain as he is throughout, also how long he’s been a Demi-human.

I was starting to feel that this series was starting to drift into action more than horror. However the Izumi backstory and interpersonal prison story really brought it back. As always the art is gorgeous.
Oh how I've missed the art in this manga series. It's been some time since I have continued it.
I'm not going to post a full review because spoilers and it's a series. I'll just give key words and examples, if they appeal to you, check this series out. Trigger Warnings for Gore, Torture and Self Harm.
Horror Manga (Especially the first couple volumes.) Demi-Humans Paranormal Multiple organizations having multiple agendas Kids teaming up together with strange characters. Stranger Things Monsters Gritty art and overall vibes.
Not that I want to make assumptions, but I wonder if this manga rubs some people the wrong way because of the characterization. It's nothing crazy, but it's weird enough to confuse you...for the medium's expectations that is.
7/10. izumi şimomura yani tosakinin yanındaki yardımcı kızın geçmişini gördük. kai de hapse düşmüş. orada kanatları olan bir ibm e sahip ajinle tanıştı.

To beat Ajin terrorist Sato, Kei decides to cooperate with Tosaki who is an Ajin conservator meeting top. This chapter is focus on a movement of characters heart and the past of them. I like such inside personality scenes.
