Lost Vegas

Rate this book
In the near future vampires have become accepted members of society in possibly the only city that could truly accept Las Vegas.

So accepted, the vampires have opened their very own casino.

Meanwhile, disgraced vampire hunter Elwin Spivey is in hiding from the future and the law. But when his daughter turns up missing, Elwin dares to return to Las Vegas, risking exposure and capture, to find her.

Out of practice, out of shape, and out of wooden steaks, can Elwin save his daughter and Las Vegas?

This is a hastily written novel. It took less than 30 days to write, and one almost puking, two-hour, 6,000 word sprint to finish. Quality was not a concern.

And here's I participated in NaNoWriMo for the first time in 2013. This is the product of completing the task.

I have not edited one word (save for spell checking) of this draft. Author’s note, dedications, and “thank-yous” aside this is exactly how it was written, when it was written. I am publishing the first, rough, draft of Lost Vegas.

I have my reasons. One of which is to inspire more people to write. How so? By showing others, that even rough drafts - bad as they can be - are better than no drafts. Sure this novel has many problems with it, but is it the worse thing every written? Okay, maybe it is, but hey, the world didn't blow up for publishing it!

Many of us writers are afraid of writing crap, and worse, having other people read the crap we wrote. Another reason I published this book "as-is" was to face that fear for myself. Here is a raw, unedited, "rough draft" of a novel for anyone willing to part with less than a buck to read, and to have critiqued.

Whether or not it sells one copy, is not my concern. I wrote it, it's out there. For better or worse.

If you decide to purchase, and do read this novel, please comment your thoughts good/bad/indifferent. I won't take them personally...well, maybe I will, but that's my problem.
