I love how creatively (and sweetly) the little girl in this book solved her problem about not being able to go to the parade. This understated book actually contains a great lesson about family relationships as well as creativity and imagination.
I wasn't sure that I liked the illustration style when I first began the book, but it was perfectly suited for the "paper parade".
A cute story about using your imagination. The text is pretty minimal, but kids will love repeating the rhythmic words. The paper sculpture illustrations were super cool, and both adults and children will be fascinated by them.
