Savannah Martin’s real estate career has been an uphill battle. Someone is sending Aislynn and Kylie threatening letters, warning them to get out while they can. Aislynn is terrified and Kylie is ready to cut her losses. But finding a poison pen is only the beginning. When Kylie is attacked and the previous owner of the house is killed, the hunt is on for a murderer, and Savannah is determined to get to the bottom of what’s going on before Aislynn and Kylie have to give up their dream home, and maybe each other, in the process.

Ainda me ri com a cena do funeral do Virgil,
There’s something very ‘Agatha Christie’ about this storyline. And that’s as specific as I’m willing to go without landing myself deep into spoiler territory. The author has done it in such a subtle way, that I didn’t recognize the similarities until nearly the end. Overall, I really enjoyed the mysteries in this book. But, while I love seeing Savannah growing beyond some of the most discriminatory attitudes of her youth, I’m a little distressed by how the author has portrayed the LGBTQ+ community.
I downloaded this book when it released at midnight & then read it straight through until 3:30 am!! I love this series! The relationship between Savannah & Rafe absolutely sizzles. The way Rafe treats Savannah like she is the most precious living breathing person on the planet just touches my heart. And while Rafe would love to wrap Savannah & their unborn child in Kevlar bubble wrap, he also realizes she is capable of taking care of herself, which she proves continually. It is the smoldering chemistry & all the elements of suspense that kept me glued to this book from beginning to end!
#11 in the Savannah Martin series. Obviously, I’ve enjoyed Savannah’s escapades or I would have given up on her way before this one. However, there have been some much better than others. #10 was my favorite so far with this one ranking way now on the list. The story was boring. There was very little “mystery”. I didn’t like the relationships. Even Rafe & Savannah’s “fire” was not well written in this book; although, there were some descriptive bedroom scenes. Honestly, I could do without so much detail in that area. Let us use our imagination on that subject. I’ve read the synopsis of #12. It sounds much more interesting. So, here I come Savannah. I’m ready to tag along with you one more time
This is book #11 in the Savannah Martin series. This was more of a cozy mystery than the last book, exciting but not as intense or graphic. Savannah is a Realtor and a couple she helped buy a house recently want to move because they are getting threatening letters. Then Virgil who used to own that house is murdered. Is it all related somehow? Savannah wants to find out. Meanwhile Rafe gets involved with a gang war to help one of his students. Savannah ' s family is barely in this one but there is a new Detective who Grimaldi works with who is the lead on this case. Keeps things interesting! This was an enjoyable book.
Adverse Possession is the 11th book in the Savannah Martin Mysteries by Jenna Bennett. This book like the others is a fun and enjoyable read. I like how Savannah is evolving as a character. Rafe and Savannah are great together. The plot was great and the story flowed very well. Overall, a great read!
Another very good entry to the Savannah Martin mysteries, though it tends to towards some repetition like a lot of cozies/semi-cozies. I have the next one already lined up!
I love this series, one of the very few I will pre-order and autobuy. Jenna Bennett has a way of capturing my attention from the first page and holding it till the very last page. She blends humor, suspense, relationship and mystery into storylines that keeps me coming back for more. I can't wait to see what happens next. But best of all is the relationship between Savannah and Rafe. It's a Wow! This book takes place a month after the last one ends. Savannah is now five months pregnant and it is the height of summertime in Nashville. She learns former clients from a previous book are getting threatening letters when they advise her they may have to sell the house they love because of the threat. Savannah begins to investigate, but the house's previous owner is murdered before she can talk to him and then one of the current homeowners is attacked in a home invasion. Can she solve the mystery behind the threat before it turns on her?
Oh, Rafe and Savannah. What can I say? They are one of my favorite book couples. This series is one of my favorite series. So much is packed into a story transpiring over just a few days. As always, bodies are following Savannah, they just seem to turn up wherever she is.
As with the other books, this one is written from Savannah's POV in her Southern belle voice. Although Rafe has managed to knock much of the belle out of her, she will never completely give up her inner "belle." I wouldn't have it any other way. She is hilarious! The chemistry between Rafe and Savannah is off the charts. He is a man of few words, but you are never in doubt of what he's thinking or feeling.
I can't get enough of these two! Please keep their story going, Ms Bennett!!! Adverse Possession is another hit in the Savannah Martin Mystery Series.
I LOVE this series and Adverse Possession fits with the others perfectly! One of the things that I have appreciated from the beginning is that Ms Bennett allowed Savannah to grow as a person; now she is growing as an investigator even though that is a sideline rather than a career. I enjoy all of the characters but of course especially Savannah and Rafe, ah, Rafe! They are all so realistic that they feel like people I might encounter. The plot is complex and I would never have figured it all out but Savannah does a great job with a little help from Rafe and a couple of homicide detectives. Their acceptance of her may be a little unrealistic but this is fiction and I love it!
I love this series. I think it is equally as good as the Janet Evanovich through the numbers books. Even Rafe says Savannah should get a job interrogating people. I love watching their relationship bloom and his excitement for the baby grow. The mystery of the poision pen letters does not go where you would expect but that is what I love about her books. Now I can't wait for the next one, which is always a problem for me with the authors I truly love to read and Jenna Bennett is one of those. Great Read, I loved it!
This series never lets me down! The way that Jenna Bennett describes Rafe and Savannah's relationship in these books makes me swoon. Don't we all wish we could have someone like hunky Rafe at home? These are definitely on the top of my list of favorite cozy mystery novels! Sometimes when I read these type of books it seems illogical to me that one town could have so much murder going on, and such a crummy police force (lol) but Jenna really does an outstanding job of keeping the storylines flowing so well that that doesn't happen!
Another great story in this series that just keeps getting better and better. Rafe and Savannah are such a great couple and the love they share makes me sigh, combine that with an awesome mystery and you get a great read. Don't miss any of the books in this awesome series.
This is a wonderful addition to the series and take's place about a month after Savannah and Rafe's wedding. The author did a great job in continuing the relationship and had a unique twist to a classic mystery plot. Looking forward to the next book.
I love this series, and I can't wait for more from Ms. Bennett. In this book, there are scenes with Rafe mowing the lawn shirtless, which I'd personally like to watch. :) I can't wait to find out whether the baby is a boy or girl, and I'm more than excited for the next installment in this series!
Another cozy and fun read. Savannah and Rafe's relationship continues to evolve, especially now that they're married and expecting. I like how the author brought back some characters from an earlier book, and managed to make the "who dunnit" seem legitimate. I like Tim less and less and am even more curious about the relationship between Dix and Grimaldi. This is one of the first series in awhile that I am still hooked on more than ten books in.
I love this series. It somehow manages to deal with quite sensitive topics like the multi-racial couple with delicacy and not losing the lightness of the overall story. Its my favourite Friday night with a glass of wine curled up in the sun or the near the fire read.
