“Manaconda” was a light, sweet, fluffy fast-paced romantic comedy that will put a smile on your face and entertain you from start to finish. The story fallows Hunter Jordan, a gorgeous rock star whose fame and life change considerably after a photoshoot for the Rolling Sone’s cover.
He is frustrated and sick of hearing about only his…well, manaconda. He would want to be known as the lead vocalist of ‘Hammered’ and his band to be known for their albums and talent, not for the ridiculous name the magazine gave him. All is pretty grey in Hunter’s life until he meets Kennedy McManus.
Kennedy is the band’s new PR. She’s hardworking, successful and determined to be professional working with Hunter. She never expected to be so smitten with the cocky rockstar, but to her surprise, Hunter seems to be into her as well. The attraction between them is combustible from the beginning and while Hunter would want something more than a one-night-stand, Kennedy doesn’t look for a relationship especially since ‘Manaconda’ is one of her clients. But there’s just one tiny problem – they can’t keep their hands off each other.
This story was fun, sweet and very enjoyable. Both Hunter and Kennedy were likeable characters. Hunter is not your usual rock star who has a reputation of being a manwhore. However, he’s sexy, charismatic and loves what he does for a living. His voice was fun, honest and entertaining and I have to say I liked him from the beginning. I also loved the fact he was an animal rights activist.
Kennedy was great as well, but I would have liked a little more character development. She’s hardworking, strong, sassy and I enjoyed her witty banter with Hunter.
There was some insta-lust between them, but I can’t say I was bothered since these two authors handled this aspect pretty well. Needless to say the attraction between them felt believable. The sex scenes were pretty hot since Hunter seemed to know how to use his ‘manaconda’. :DD
Overall, a great entertaining read!

Manaconda was exactly the kind of sexy, fluffy and humorous interlude that I needed in my reading. Admittedly, I was looking forward to a full standalone, but considering that the conclusion will be released on January 26 for free, it lessens the sting considerably. As for the book? Well I read it in one sitting, so what does that tell you?
Thanks to a Rolling Stone cover that every rockstar dreams about gracing the cover of, Hunter Jordan is famous for a whole lot than being the lead singer of Hammered. His...uhem...quite large appendage...seems to be all anyone can talk about thanks to the unfortunate bunching of his jeans and revealing his male 'gift' to the entire world. But Hunter isn't exactly happy about it. He's more than his cock, dammit. Even if it is a VERY impressive one.
Kennedy McManus is the band's new PR that's set to work specifically with him after the cover imploded on magazine stands everywhere. Sparks fly between them immediately and it doesn't take long at all for things to really get rolling...
Now usually an insta-lust like this doesn't work for me. But something about the one here just did it for me. I bought it; hook, line and sinker. It was just too delicious not to. It's fluffy in a guilty pleasure read sort of way and it just worked.
And when these two get together? Holy ovary CUMbustion!
My only quibble is that I felt this could have just been a longer standalone, but that's because I'm a self professed cliffy avoider. Even with the cliffy, I gobbled this up like the starved smut addict that I am and loved every sinfully sexy page of it. Now I'm looking forward to the conclusion and luckily I don't have to wait long at all.

Well, that was a lovely story... Cute, funny, sexy and very enjoyable...
I really had a great time reading this one...
I liked all the characters and i can't wait for more adventures from the rest of the "Hammered" bandmates...
After all, I'm a known "rockstar" sucker!!! They are from my most favorite book boyfriends and Hunter wasn't an exception...
But i will tell you more about him and his PR Princess below...
Well, Hunter lately had a major problem... After a photoshot in the most famous magazine of the music scene, Rolling Stones, he'd been named as the " Manaconda " and that's because of the big bulge on his pants...
From that moment, his life become a nightmare...
Yep, he was a famous rockstar before, but nowadays everyone seems to care only for his c**k, and nobody about his music or his animal activism...
And he is so angry about all this fuse without a significant reason...
"Mana-fucking-conda. Minus the fucking in the middle, plus a few extra millimeters at the tip....

I liked Hunter's attempts of wooing her and i really liked that Hunter wasn't the jerk that usually are the famous sexy men...
He was like the boy next door and i like that!!!
When Hunter and Kenny were talking together, they were actually very funny...
Kennedy was independent and very sassy, so she was the perfect match for Hunter...
The things that i didn't like in this book:
1. The things were moving really fast between Hunter and Kennedy!!! This insta love made me wondering...
2. Their first sex encountering was too long for my tastes and i got a little bit bored...
3. I'm still trying to figure out why Hunter went so crazy with her ex, Victoria and his bandmate and best friend, Reed...
And in this point, i have to tell you that i have so many fuckin' questions about this certain matter, and damn, i would love the next book to be for Reed... My curiousity is on high levels here!!!
But damn it, is for Keys!!! But thank God that i'm curious about her also!!!
I have to add that i loved the dynamic between all the "Hammered" members and i'm looking forward for more of them...

Have you seen the cover?! And the title?!!!
Yes, my thoughts exactly! How could I not read it, right?! And if that wasn't convincing enough, this should do it:
Mana-fucking-conda. Minus the fucking in the middle, plus a few extra millimeters at the tip. Hey, gotta finish strong, right?
OK, seriously folks, the story is quite good and the characters are awesome. But my favourite by far was Kennedy aka. Kenny. She has sass, looks and is one smart capable woman with a strong career that she achieved on her own! She didn't have connections or slept her way to the top, hell no, she worked her ass off to get to where she is now. And that is one of the best PRs you'll ever see, just ask Prince Harry, if ya don't believe me. ;)
Many of the people who lived in Los Angeles had spent time in the food industry, but not me. I'd worked my way up by picking up orders, doing errands, and being indispensable.
As said, she knows what she's doing professionally. In private life tho, that's a whole different situation. But of course she didn't see Hunter aka. Manaconda coming her way.
My band brought out the college girls, some teens, and all of the bad girls looking for a good time. Not class wrapped in pink and creamy lace with fuck-me-unconscious heels.
Ah, Hunter. I felt kinda sorry for him because of the whole Manaconda thing but mainly I just had a laugh. Since his (un)fortunate interview in the Rolling Stone magazine and the following cover, he's been the big talk in the papers. Or should I say one part of him was. And by now we all know which part I mean, right? And since the sales were going so good, why not make some more money, so the best solution was to bring in Kenny. Of course no one knew what would happen once those two met.
Ten minutes with Hunter Jordan and I'd forgotten rule number one. I only had two, for fuck's sake. Don't get personal. Don't get naked.
I loved those two together, they knew how to push each others buttons and how to have fun. The only thing that really got on my nerves was the whole ex plot. Seriously, I get when you get some drama with that person once or twice but to actually have that same thing happening every 30 pages or so, you start losing my interest in the story. The only saving grace was the characters love for dogs in their Love & Paws project. They definitely got some points back with that one. I adored that and you could see they really loved animals and did something so selfless to help them. I only wished there were more people like them to help those poor creatures.
I think this is my first book by this author and I have a feeling it won't be the last. So, if you like the blurb, go ahead and read it. :)

This was a fun and easy read about a PR responsible (Kennedy aka Kenny) and a man born to be on stage (Hunter). I love books about musicians btw ... For PR purposes Kennedy needs to act as Hunter's girlfriend. She tells herself that it is a role but guess what? Right, soon there are feelings. How could you not with such a gorgeous, hot man! Hunter has feelings too but acts weird when he sees his ex together with his band mate Bats. I would love to read Bats' book to finally get to know what is going on between them...
I loved both characters and could feel the chemistry between them. I'm not a big fan of insta-love but it didn't bother me as much with this book as it usually does. This book gets 3 stars.

RATING: 4 "Forever Idiot" Hearts!! :D
Manaconda is a quick, fun and fluffy romance read; perfect to spend a few hours with on a weekend. Really enjoyed it!

A light, sexy, fast paced read that felt like a good old seductive rock song. Just the kind of feelings I would expect from a romantic comedy rock novel!
Hunter Jordan is a frustrated rock star. He wants to be known for his rock band’s music. Hammered’s lead singer though, is now known as Manaconda. Why? Because he’s featured on the front cover of Rolling Stone with this sensational moniker just above his… ahem… well, you know. Wanting to capitalize on the buzz, their label has organized a week’s worth of events for which they’ve also required a new PR person.
“I’ll find you. If you try to leave, I will still find you.”
Kennedy McManus is successful and skilled at her public relations job. She’s a take charge person who doesn’t have time for a relationship, especially not with one of her clients. Besides being unprofessional and career suicide, she knew all about star types like Hunter Jordan. But as soon as she meets her new client and feels his magnetic pull, everything goes a bit or a lot sideways. Can she resist him? Can they ignore the “electricity and gunpowder” attraction between them?

Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott have mastered writing sensually addicting stories. And I’m not just talking about the sexy times between the hero and heroine. Being a fan of the Lost in Oblivion series, I love the way Cari and Taryn compose entrancing scenes when the band is playing and I’m swiftly transported to their performance and can practically hear the sing. They’re perfect for any rock chick romance lover!

What do rock chicks love just as much as rock concerts? A sexy rock god. Hunter Jordan was more than a seducing voice though, he’s quick witted, down to earth, animal rights activist who’s past living the fast paced life and is looking for something meaningful. Once he recognizes this he’s determined to get the feisty redhead.
“I knew there was something special between us, knew it as surely as a lyric that belonged in a song. But as with all good songs, I needed time to figure out the melody and chords. I was learning her chords, but the rest of her was still a puzzle I had to figure out.”
With an interesting title attached to these two fabulous writers I knew I would get a smooth flowing story, sizzling as well as fun, entertaining moments between the main as well as supporting characters. We don’t get a lot of character development about the supporting characters, but we do get enough to make them appealing and added exciting drama I can’t wait to read.

3.5 Almost There Stars

The main character in this book loves to cook. He is as close to a professional chef as you could get without actually being one. I mention this because to me, this book was like that perfect dish which was really good but had an ingredient that just didn't blend...it distracted and cause me to focus on it instead of all the other delicious elements.
I loved the opening part of this story. It had this feel of "It could Happen". Picture the all important Rolling Stone interviews for a famous band releasing a much sought after new album. The band talks with the writer... touches on all sorts of musical philosophies, shares little known facts about favorite guitars and how they acquired them...and how their fans are truly important to how the band relates to each performance. There is insight to the writing of the new release, touches on personal lives... the whole nine yards of up close and personal. Accompanying the article is the require photoshoot of all the guys; there in studio, at their favorite guitar center and then poses mandatory of each guy. All simple and should be a winning article.
Unfortunately, it became a little more insightful and revealing then intended for Hunter Jordan, the singer/songwriter of the group. Somehow the camera captured a moment where jeans were a little too snug and the lighting and shadows just right... to reveal more than Hunter ever wanted of his man business...
Yes, Rolling Stone decided to put on the cover, front and center, this picture of Hunter Jordan with the blazing title....
MANACONDA
Now the only thing he is hearing is that friggin' name... he is sick of it. Yes, he has always had a big dick and it has served him well. But he never went flashing it around like a trophy... or made any videos with it like other rock stars who shall remain nameless...
Hunter was tired of all the stupid crap surrounding the rock scene....and he was equally tired of being used and abused by the Los Angeles agenda of wanna-be people... looking for angles and exposure.
He had made the huge mistake of being what he thought was in love with one of the worst ones out there, Victoria Sheer. They had been together for about 2 years; him thinking this was it and her using him being the Rock Stud/ God and taking advantage of the connections he came with.
When he started to back away from the parties and premiers, Vic started to look for the next hot thing... and Hunter walked in on her and this new media darling getting it on.
It took Hunter awhile; he wrote his heart out in this album...and now it is dropping. Except no one is going to give a crap about it because of the stupid Rolling Stones Cover!
Kennedy McManus is a PR up and coming star. She has handled the brats, the whiners, the demanding and everything in between. She has seen it all and lived to tell about it. Her personal story has, in a way, groomed her to understand first hand, what lines are bullshit, what works to defuse a situation and how to calm a crowd.
Growing up with her single mom pulled the curtain away on all the things her mom tried to hide. Mom was a proud showgirl on the Vegas strip but it was during a time when there were no regulations on how heavy a headdress could be.... or how painful standing in heels parading around with 75 pounds of beading can ruin the back and feet. She also saw how a man could consume her mother's heart; make her happy when he graced them with a visit or devastate with a call of another excuse canceling. These things did not go unnoticed and taught Kennedy well.
Now she needs to wrangle the group Hammered and specifically Hunter Jordan for this one fan event. She just needs to make sure all the copies of RS are signed, the merch is laid out and the 1000 invited fans are happy campers. Then after the signing, the group is doing a special performance for the invited VIP's with press and then after party at the end. Easy/Peasy.
Well, not exactly. It seems the record label and Rolling Stone are so excited about this viral situation, they have already gone into a 2nd printing and gearing up for a 3rd. They have also invited or had additional people with connections arrive at the venue totaling up to almost 2000, not the 1000. All of these thing, Kennedy has dealt with... and she will- as soon as she can find Hunter...It seems he has taken a walk away from the holding room and she will have to find him.
Hunter Jordan likes to cook when he is restless. It relaxes him. He picked the venue specifically because his friend is the chef there...and now he is in the kitchen sauteing his heart out and feeling no stress. He is in the midst of finishing off the mushrooms, garlic and angel hair pasta when Kennedy finds him. She is a vision...blazing eyes, beautiful bountiful hair, a figure he would like to explore and legs in 4 inch heels...which should be wrapped around his hips.
He bows to his Kitchen buddies, thanks them for the time and takes a bowl of the pasta while grabbing Kennedy's hand. As he leads her to a back way around the hotel...he is becoming familiar with her orange blossom scent and the clickety-clack of her stilettos. Both of these two are accessing each other as they go through this hidden way to where the lobby is ...only to crack open the door and see the massive amount of people milling about waiting to funnel into the closed off area for the signing.
Hunter pulls Kennedy back from the door, explaining they will have to wait a sec to let all of the people move away so he won't be attacked. He also needs a moment to gather himself up to deal with being treated like a piece of meat instead of the musician.
Kennedy is at a loss. Things are getting away from her. That is not her way... she is always in control...yet being so close to this man....the charm and charisma is overwhelming... and the aroma of the pasta is making her dizzy. Hunter positions himself in such a way as to block the opening of the door, lower his 6'3" body and offers her a bite of the pasta. At first Kennedy stubbornly says no...no to the pasta even though her stomach is growling yes, no to the piercing look in Hunter's eyes and crooked grin and most definitely to her lady bits which are screaming at the top of her ovaries YES, YES, YES!
By unanimous vote, all senses win; Hunter hold the fork while Kennedy opens her mouth taking it in...she moans in delight, her tongue comes out to lick her lips, her eyes close in ecstasy. Hunter is dying, watching all of this and before they both know what the hell is happening between them.... they are kissing.
This is not the kiss of a Rock star... having a go at a gal...this is graze of the lips first... soft...touching and then a tongue caressing and asking permission to come inside heaven..Once the seal of their mouths is broken and lips are open...a flood gate of feelings come rushing in to them both...hands are wrapped around heads... bodies are fitted closely together and all sense of time and space is lost....until...
Click click... snap snap and mummers break through their sexually drugged state...the Door was pushed open and the people in the lobby saw everything...Hunter pulls the door closed but with the phones and digital cameras recording everything, by the time they make their way back to the holding area and where Hunter's mates are... They have gone viral on ever social media out there.
Great-Kennedy has now broken every rule she has about working PR and she only had 2! Never get close to a client, EVER. and never break rule number 1. The feel of Hunter's lips on hers still is causing flutters and she is not knowing how to handle all of this... because both of them have acknowledged this coming together in that hallway.... was very different than anything either of them have experienced....She wants to believe it... yet she also is trying to be realistic.
The signing takes place; the concert is amazing and now they just have to get through the press conference. As expected the tabloids as well as legitimate outlets are causing a stir with the line of questioning...either about Hunter's "Manaconda" or the kiss. Finally Kennedy sees there is a huge issue with the way this is going and reacts by stepping up and letting the press know nothing was staged, turns and kisses Hunter front and center.
After the end of the press, Kennedy has to answer to her bosses and they decided she is to be Hunter's girl for a few weeks- the Cover, record and her display at the press showing is trending and pushing sales. Hunter is all for it; Kennedy is nervous.
This had all of the makings for what the author wanted, I think. I was there with the sexual chemistry, the connecting of these two characters. The banter is fun and the set up works. The chemistry between them, smokin'. I was right there for these two to learn about each other, deal with the fall out of him being this huge Rock Star etc. Everything was rolling along.
Then that added ingredient I mentioned earlier was added and the distraction of it started to ebb away at my reading high.
There are terrific moments and interesting possibilities with upcoming installments. I know with the humor and chemistry shown in this story...more will be revealed in the next.

This is a warning (along with the review) to all those considering reading this book. It is NOT a standalone! It ends on a cliffhanger for some weird reason. The conclusion which is about 100 pages, is separate and you can get it for free here: http://www.rockerreads.com/hammered/ , don't be a schmuck like me and buy it for 0.99p from Amazon. Maybe an announcement about it somewhere on here wouldn't go amiss.
I don't know for what reason Goodreads has this as a series of standalones when it's not. I also don't understand the reason for the book to be butchered this way in the first place? For the sake of a cliffhanger? Sales? Gimmick? Error?
Anyway, this is an overall rating that includes Manaconda 2.
This is a relatively sweet story of a rock star and a PR guru getting together. Hunter Jordan is the famous singer from Hammered. He did an interview and photo shoot for Rolling Stone where unfortunately for him they noticed that his pee-pee is jumbo sized and decided to name it Manaconda and plaster it all over their cover. Probably a bit like the cover of this book? Though in my head it was better and for some reason with a wet T-shirt and jeans.
See? Better, right? Where was I...........?
Oh, yes.. Kennedy McManus comes on board to help manage the publicity from the Manaconda photo to the bands benefit. She's confident, a genius at multitasking and amazing at her job. I loved how the two met but it felt a bit fast. And in retrospect of the second book there was no reason to rush it so much.
The chemistry and attraction between these two is explosive. The banter is fun and kinda sweet at the same time. Their sexy times were hella hot. But we're talking about a rockstar here. Nothing runs smoothly where they're involved and this book is no exception. Fans, managers, band members and exes all contribute a little bit to the plot. Nothing convoluted or over the top and thankfully we don't get the psycho ex trope.
It was an entertaining and amusing read that you could happily pass your time with.

If you notice at the bottom of the blurb it says : THIS IS A FREE read - this was an unplanned second part of MANACONDA and we wanted to make sure our readers were very happy. Eventually the titles will be combined.
It has the url where you can get it at the details at the very bottom. How can you not plan the end of a book is a mystery to me...

4 Fluffy Stars
Hunter is lucky. Hunter has a big dick. Hunter doesn't feel lucky at the moment though because he is being chased by press, media and fans. He is the frontman of a shooting star band and alot of that shooting has to do with Hunter's pee-pee. Because, you see, he and his appendage grace the cover of the Rolling Stone. Not naked mind you. But ever since he is being reduced to...this.
Kennedy is the band's PR lady and responsible for them to make a good impression when they launch their new album and use the wave the band is riding on the Manaconda snake...err...train. She is a worker, focused and serious in her job, still she is a little firecracker. She doesn't take her responsibility lightly so how come she finds herself immensely attracted to this rock star? And it sure as hell is not little Hunter.
A couple of days ago I lamented the insta-love/-lust of another book and how it just didn't work for me. This was insta-lust as well and for some reason it worked without even trying. It was sweet, funny, fluffy and delicious. And oh my word...those sex scenes were hot. It was an easy fast read with low angst. I had one WTF moment which happened incidentally at the same time when Hunter had a quick TSTL moment. So yeah...I can live with that! Both main characters were adorable and beyond likable.
If you need to get out of a book hangover this is the perfect story. I will definitely read the stories of the other band members of Hammered...and I'm so freaking curious to know what's going on with Bats and Hunter's ex-Bitch.

If you need to get out of a book hangover this is the perfect story. I will definitely read the stories of the other band members of Hammered...and I'm so freaking curious to know what's going on with Bats and Hunter's ex-Bitch.

Well, damn! I am choking on my words. I really liked Manaconda... despite it having one of my pet-peeves ~ insta-love/attraction - whatever you want to call it, there was insta and it didn't bother me. WHY?!? Because these authors can write! This is the first I have read from them, and won't be my last. What an awesome duo. I found their writing to be engaging and strong and kept me entertained. The only thing that kept me from reading this in one sitting was real life.
Kennedy McManus is a 28-year-old PR whiz. Her job is to clean up the image of her clients, to flip the script and to get her clients on the good side of the public. She was given a one-day job of capitalizing on the 'Rolling Stone' article about Hammered's lead singer, Hunter Jordan, aka - Manaconda. He had a history of fighting and a long list of girls he liked to entertain. So despite the flattering article on the inside, when the magazine posted a picture on their cover which declared he had a manaconda in his pants, the public went wild. Kennedy needed to figure out a way to ride the storm of publicity.
Hunter Jordan is the 32-year-old lead singer for the band, Hammered. Despite his past, he has grown up and the Hollywood scene is growing old. He's tired of feeling like a commodity, a means to an end. So when the focus is switched off the band and onto his 'manaconda', he doesn't like it. The only bright side is the sexy PR girl sent to 'handle' him. He wanted to get to know her, wanted her. So, if he had to sign a few autographs to keep her at his side, he would. He would even pretend to be her boyfriend.
As you can imagine, being the "it girl" in PR, having an affair with a client, yeah, not good. Especially when it is started soon after meeting, said client. (This part had me a little uneasy, because she is a high powered PR person and would NEVER put herself in that position - but, as with the insta, I was able to over look this due to the writing.) But Kennedy's attraction to Hunter was not to be denied, the magnetism between them, too strong.
Was Kennedy putting her career at risk by being with Hunter? Could she ignore his past? Further, can he ignore her job? It perpetuates the thing he hates the most.

Well, we don't find out the answer to those questions... the damn cliff-hanger, why could they not have made this one book?! Manaconda was a fun, light-hearted, steamy book. I can't wait to read the next in the series!

Typically I don't read books with bands or singers. Maybe its stereotypical of me to think it's all manwhoring, drugs, booze, ho drama etc. but that just isn't my cup of tea.
I didn't even know this was about a band, I just read big dick and clicked buy. I'm so easy. Sigh.
Things start pretty much straight away with Kennedy Hunter's face after having just met him. Those garlic noodles must have been some good shit cause there wasn't any real conversation for her to know if she actually liked him.
Anyway, I enjoyed it. Didn't particularly like his reaction to the ex and all the carry on cause someone else was around her. And the ending with that shit starting up again. Argh I hate books with bitches and a lot of band books have hateful ho's. There wasn't a lot of depth here either, they could have been anyone, anywhere, doing anything. It was all about the insta-lust/love.
I may read the next one if my brain is feeling especially tired and dumb.

Hmm, first off this ends on a cliffy...gah!!!
SO, I usually avoid rock star books like the plague, because the heroes are always manwhores, and they are chock full of OW drama, and OW sex scenes. Refreshingly, this wasn't the case. In this first book at least.
Hunter I assume got around, he is a rock star after all, but it wasn't really in your face. Both characters were likable for the most part. Hunter was a little annoying with his "I want more", then he dumps her in a hot second for something ridiculous, then they get back together. He also has a manipulative ex fiancee that's involved somehow with another member of the band.
The plot was interesting, it's pretty insta-lust. There wasn't anything wrong with it, I enjoyed it, for the most part. I don't know, I wasn't blown away with it, and I am not sure I will read the next book in the series because I have a feeling it is going to be more angsty, not that I know that for sure, maybe it won't be who knows..
Anyways, this was good, just not great.

Romanic Comedy, yes. Intrigued as to just what a Manaconda is, definitely. Wanting more of Hunter, any way that I can. Sucked me right in from the beginning even though I knew there would be a freaking cliff hanger. The good news about that? Book 2 comes out January 26th.
So, Hunter had me from the beginning. He’s sexy, strong and can cook. Is there any more to say? Well, yea, he’s a little bit conflicted too. In one breath he wants to kill Rolling Stone and the next he’s rubbing his snake all over the VIP’s and driving the girls crazy. Then there’s Kennedy and what she is doing to him – mentally and physically. He can’t wait to let his manaconda loose on her and loves the idea of her being his girlfriend. Now to get her on board.
As for Kennedy, well she is a tornado. A woman who can stand on her own two feet, has her own rules and can’t help but desperately want Hunter Jordan. Along with every other woman in the world. But, she has a job to do and she’s going to do it, damn it. Well, after a sex filled, mind blowing night with Hunter. Then she’ll consider the “girlfriend” status that her boss wants her to carry through on.
Enter Victoria. I’m still not sure just what her game is other than to make a name for herself and possibly bring Hammered and Hunter down.
Manconda had some really funny parts. But, being a Rock Star Romance, it also had it sweet moments as well. Loved the puppy angle. The characters all meshed together and are, mostly, really good friends just working together to bring attention to their new album, Bronze. Until Victoria. I laughed out loud with how disgusted Hunter was about his c*ck getting all the publicity and loved how Kennedy spun it the bands advantage. The story itself was quick moving and interesting since you really didn’t know just what was going to happen next, what Hunter was going to say or do or how Kenny would respond or react. Manaconda was a great sit down and enjoy yourself read. But, it’s killing me not knowing what happened to prompt Hunter and Reed to go at it again in the middle of Amoeba Music. Oh, well, I guess I’ll just have to wait.

A Fluffy Bunny rockstar romance???
How is that shit fucking possible?
And with a title like Manaconda.

Mind Blown.
I thought the fact the first 41% of the novel only covered the H/h's first 12 hours together would be a bigger stumbling block in progressing the plot. It wasn't, but it left a disjointed feeling to much of the last 50% of the novel. If the novel had another 10-20k after the meet-cute, this could have been spectacular for me and a 4 star read....a Fluffy Bunny 4 star read...I need check, cuz I don't think that's happened yet.
My only complaint, we never get the Victoria plot point solved.
That dropped it a full star for me. This is such a major bone of contention between the H/h that I can't forgive it. I'm sure it's a plot point for Bats' book, but it's not after this and it hasn't been written. So, WTF?
I may read the next in the series, but I'm choking on bunny fur at the moment.

Ok, full disclosure, I picked up this one due to the name, I mean come on, with a title like that how could you not be curious??? lol
Sadly this one didn't work out for me. I didn't care for how whiney Hunter was. Granted he had a good excuse, but still, it came off in a not good way. Kennedy wasn't much better with her ball buster ways. Then as a couple, wasn't really working for me. In the end this book just wasn't' for me.

I tend to steer clear of romance books that have rockstar/celebrity MCs. This is because usually theres a lot of Man Whore Hs and way too much OW drama I would rather do with out.
Manaconda is a rockstar romance and it was a surprisingly sweet read. I liked Hunter from the start, he was funny and had a very naughty but nice vibe going for him. There was an instant connection between him and Kenny, from that first sizzling kiss.
Safety: OW drama: low level
I was able to over look it because Manaconda has dual POVs so although we get Kenny's fears and doubts, we also get to read Hunter's thoughts and his real feelings. And he is always upfront about his feelings for Kenny and only Kenny.
From the beginning, we know that Hunter and Kenny generate some crazy ass heat but I loved the old school romance that Hunter uses to woo his girl. He sets out to prove this crazy bumpy relationship isnt just great between the sheets. There is a great built up to the big L-O-V-E declaration and I loved the big sappy gesture at the end.
I will definitely be reading the next in the series Manhandled.

I read this title and smirked because it sounded like a bad porn film title. And let's face it, curiosity killed the cat, so I had to read the description on it and follow up by reading the book. I AM SO GLAD I DID. I laughed until I cried in some parts of this book. There was also sex scenes that had this old woman squirming in her rocker. A pretty mean feat in this day and age lol. Meet a new favorite author of mine :)

Very disappointing. Kennedy and Hunter as well as the other characters lacked development. They were shallow and inconsistent! Too many hits and misses causing a major disconnect from the story. Even the rock-star excitement wasn't exciting.

He calls her Kenny instead of Kennedy and drives her bonkers. great romance.

I was hoping for more character development for Hunter and Kennedy. Being a huge fan of the Lost in Oblivion series, I was expecting this semi-spinoff to equal, if not, rival the depth I've seen in the stories for the Oblivion band mates.
There was great chemistry between Kennedy and Hunter. I liked that Hunter wasn't the typical horn dog rock start that we see so often. By the time he meets Kennedy, that's all out of his system and he's ready to settle down and find a partner and lover he can be happy with. The big Rolling Stones article that has practically immortalize the size of his "asset" has been the bane of his existence. Because of it, he's no longer taken seriously for his music and the women are not just throwing themselves at his as any other groupie would, but he's being treated like a piece of meat. Sure it was fun in the beginning, but Hunter experiences how quickly that can get old.
Kennedy is career driven and quite good at her job but Hunter is a smooth talker with some alpha tendencies that knocked her off her game a bit. He was irresistible and she's a fan of the music industry so she didn't play into the hooplah of his Rolling Stone coverage.
Together they were good together, they just had a few obstacles to get over.
Again, I expected more build up between the two. It moved too fast paced for me. I was expecting more angst vs the instalove that was delivered in this story. Not much of their backgrounds were detailed so I don't feel I knew them as well as I should have.
Overall, it was a good story as well as cute/funny.

Oh, Manaconda, I had such high hopes for you. I wanted a cocky (ha ha) rock star with a sense of humor, but instead I got an arrogant rock star with a “poor me, nobody cares about my mind” complex. Let me break it down.
Hunter is the lead singer of a band releasing their fifth album. He’s led the famous lifestyle for a decade, and he’s tired of the users and the groupies and the paparazzi. He finally landed the cover of Rolling Stone, but the cover picture shows his tight pants outlining his impressive manliness. The headline is “Manaconda.” The magazine sold out, and everyone is now obsessing about his cock, rather than the insightful interview inside. Here’s what we’re not told: Who wrote that headline? Did it come up in the interview? Has Hunter’s manaconda been Of Interest before? The whole article (and the book!) is based on that word, but all we get is Hunter moping about all the attention he gets, no backstory. It’s an attention-grabber that doesn’t follow through (yes, I’m speaking about the book).
On to Kennedy. She’s some kind of PR person who has been brought to the album release party at the last minute to spin the buzz surrounding Hunter’s manaconda. She stalks up all tough and hard, and then she takes it upon herself to find Hunter, who is hiding in a hotel kitchen. Kennedy believes that guys call girls by nicknames because they’re too lazy to remember the name. Hunter immediately calls her Kenny. Then she orders him back to the party, and they get stuck in a secret corridor (of course) where they start kissing (of course).
There’s a concert, and more making out, and Hunter demanding Kennedy to sleep with him. “She punched my chest and kicked my shin. Freaking hellcat. Just as I was about to step back, she hooked her arm around my neck and kissed me back.” They finally manage to be alone so Hunter can get started on the seven orgasms he’s promised her. Somewhere during all that, some management people think that Kennedy should be Hunter’s fake girlfriend (so professional!) and Kennedy leads a press conference. I swear that was the only work thing she did, besides telling people what’s trending on Twitter.
Seventy percent of the book is that first day/night/morning. A lot of talk about sexual tension, and some actual sex. Somehow Hunter feels different around Kennedy. Somehow Kennedy, who has professional rules, gets jealous over his past girlfriends. And then there’s a party where Hunter has to beat up his bandmate over his ex-fiancee, and Kennedy has concerns about it, and Hunter wonders why he wants her when she’s part of the publicity machine that he hates so much. But then they go to a pet adoption fundraiser and cuddle puppies.
I just didn’t care. Kennedy raked/grazed/dragged her fingernails all over his body. Hunter liked her taste and her smell. They briefly wondered whether they knew each other well enough to be in a relationship. I wondered the same thing, but I was willing to overlook it to see how they planned to move forward. But then there was a cliffhanger. The sequel is out now, and it’s free, but I’m not invested in their relationship enough to care what happens next.

On to Kennedy. She’s some kind of PR person who has been brought to the album release party at the last minute to spin the buzz surrounding Hunter’s manaconda. She stalks up all tough and hard, and then she takes it upon herself to find Hunter, who is hiding in a hotel kitchen. Kennedy believes that guys call girls by nicknames because they’re too lazy to remember the name. Hunter immediately calls her Kenny. Then she orders him back to the party, and they get stuck in a secret corridor (of course) where they start kissing (of course).
There’s a concert, and more making out, and Hunter demanding Kennedy to sleep with him. “She punched my chest and kicked my shin. Freaking hellcat. Just as I was about to step back, she hooked her arm around my neck and kissed me back.” They finally manage to be alone so Hunter can get started on the seven orgasms he’s promised her. Somewhere during all that, some management people think that Kennedy should be Hunter’s fake girlfriend (so professional!) and Kennedy leads a press conference. I swear that was the only work thing she did, besides telling people what’s trending on Twitter.
Seventy percent of the book is that first day/night/morning. A lot of talk about sexual tension, and some actual sex. Somehow Hunter feels different around Kennedy. Somehow Kennedy, who has professional rules, gets jealous over his past girlfriends. And then there’s a party where Hunter has to beat up his bandmate over his ex-fiancee, and Kennedy has concerns about it, and Hunter wonders why he wants her when she’s part of the publicity machine that he hates so much. But then they go to a pet adoption fundraiser and cuddle puppies.
I just didn’t care. Kennedy raked/grazed/dragged her fingernails all over his body. Hunter liked her taste and her smell. They briefly wondered whether they knew each other well enough to be in a relationship. I wondered the same thing, but I was willing to overlook it to see how they planned to move forward. But then there was a cliffhanger. The sequel is out now, and it’s free, but I’m not invested in their relationship enough to care what happens next.

First let me start off by saying, I LOVED the name of this book! I mean my mind went straight to the gutter when I saw the cover and then read the title. I mean come ON!! This we a short and steamy read about the lead singer from the band hammered. I’ve read one other book from these authors and I really enjoyed it!
We meet Hunter first and he is in a mood. Apparently not every male likes to be known for what he is packing in his rocker jeans. Hunter use to enjoy all the attention, girls, and meaningless sex, however lately it all just seems more annoying than anything else. That is until he meets his new PR rep, Kennedy. There is just something about her from the moment he locks eyes with her over a bowl of buttery garlic pasta. Oh and I mention along with being tall, dark, and sexy as hell he can cook too! Those butter noodles? Yep, he made them, and fed her…from the same fork! Ahh total swoon moment there, girls!
Kennedy has been in this position before; sexy client, attraction, lust, fall out, BOOM!! However, the details of this past PR/client relationship were not shared in this book (I hope we find more out soon). So when she meets Hunters amazing eyes, she knows she is in trouble…again. I loved how these two just hit it right off. They had a mild love hate relationship going, but in the end they could not deny the fact that there was something magical happening between them. And by magical I mean all things dirty, sexy and hot!!! Hunter made my toes curl at some of the ridiculous sexy things he would say to Kennedy. And the man not only knew how to talk dirty, but he followed through with every single filthy delicious word too!
This book ended in a cute little cliffy and I cannot wait to see how the rest of the story goes. If you enjoy a good rocker romance, with a prim and proper girl who enjoys getting down and dirty with a sinful rock star then I would defiantly recommend checking out this book and other series by these two talented authors!! Just make sure you pack an extra pair of panties, you’re going to need them!
