From The Deadly Beauties Live On series...

ZEE

I didn't choose this life. I didn't choose my fate. In fact, fate seems to have thing for fucking me over. Leah is just one more thing I didn't choose, and now I'm fighting everything in me not to turn her into the monster I never wanted to be. But we both know what's going to happen in the end, because as always, I have no control.

LEAH

He's wrong and right in the same breath. He's terrible and perfect. Most importantly, he's my savior and my damnation. This world isn't supposed to exist, and I'm not sure if I'm insane or dreaming. Either way, I can't stay away from Zee, even if it means I might lose myself to him completely. Thing is... he's the safest option, because every path is deadlier than the last.

#She Did It Again

C.M. Owens has blown us away again. Anointed us all with a great story of how the the "Human/Mortals" can be the real monsters in the here and now. Night Stalker Zee meets Leah a mortal who is an assistant to a writer who is checking out his underworld club of "fake vampires" for a story. Zee warns Leah that if they were to connect he would ruin her for anyone else and hopes never to see her again. Leah and her boss end up witnessing a gruesome parAnormal murder, thrusting Leah deep into a world where nothing or no one is what it seems, especially Leah herself!!!!

Omg Cm Owens has done it again!! Just hit it straight out the park!! I absolutely loved this book!!
We finally get to meet the man behind the dark moody and brooding demeanour and also so find out exactly what he is capable of after receiving the powers that he was given.
Boy he does not disappoint!! When he losses it to find Leah going all #blackeyesarefreaky I squealed an then found myself swooning after he found her saved her and claimed her!
Just had to love Leah with her smart mouth and big heart! A strong willed woman that knows what she wants and where she stands, she is just what Zee needed to drag him of that corner he watched from!!
Oh damn we also saw all the others from deadly beauties too so great to catch them also!!
But wait I second who the fuck is the Master??? And when will we find out who he is??? God I just know I'll be kicking myself when I find out who it is!!! I so need too know this!!!!!
An absolutely great read a must read!! Thank you so much C.m again for surpassing my every expectation!!!!

I cant put this series down, the author throws a variety of emotions and setbacks at you, I loved Thad's and Roslyn's chemistry in previous book, unfortunately Zee and Leah aren't on par i feel they are a bit reluctant to be together.

The story line though wow, it keeps getting better and better, we get a closer look at the anointed and the capabilities, we also get a glimpse of Slade and Ella, now that's a book i cant wait to get my mitts on.

The only thing i love and hate a bit like Marmite is Dice, the dude with his hashtag does my head in, but then i love it when he uses music to the moment and his Spangel references. Karma is a bit of a wet blanket though.

I'm also looking forward to see a bit into whats going on with Chaz, C.M. Owns really makes you love and feel invested in her characters, that's allways the biggest pull to me to any book.
So i am going to go pour myself a nice glass of wine and some Cheddar and start on Chaz's Story now!!!!

Kickass duo! Great story!

The annointed are back and they arent just discrimanating against immortals but the humans who side with them. Glad Zee got hit with that extra boost of magic to help in his fight against the annointed. Leah being one of them and having come from the first and strongest of the annointed line is epic. They make a kick ass duo. And they definitely demonstrated that in the book, although we could have done without Zee fighting his need to sire her for as long as he did. Overall great story! Then again anything C.M. Owens writes is amazing, I'm always hooked from the very first page.

"It's about who can fuck the hardest, who can endure the most, and who can kill the quickest. It's all we're about. It's all I know. Welcome to our world."

I swear I thought Zee was the sweetest out of all the heroes, but I guess I was wrong. In my admittance to being wrong, I have the biggest fucking grin on my face. Why? Because who likes a nice guy, when you can have the deliciousness of the decent ones going dark. I was fucking giddy and squealing like a school girl when Zee had his dark moments.

Just in case people are still waiting to read this series, I won't spoil and say what Leah is. All I'll do is say that since Thad's book I was hoping a heroine would be like this. I love me some taboo romance, and boy Dice was right. This is some Buffy and Angel drama.

I'm also really enjoying the plot. I've decided to read Gage's book, even though I didn't want to. There's some kisses missing, but I'm getting this gist (here's a star for you if you get that reference). It's absolutely fascinating that in the first series the evil couple were the problem. Now it's something so much worse, and we still don't really know what.

Over all, I love our characters. Since I haven''t read about Gage and Kimber I don't have any feelings, other than I love Gage because he was my favorite in the first one. Dice is hashtag, awesome. That male Chaz has me all kinds of interested. I'm beyond irritated I have to wait for his book until I read Gage's.

"I'm our alpha. Ignore my followers. They lost their manners a few centuries ago."
"Fuck off, incubus," G-name guy says.
"Hashtag, alpha. Learn it, beta bitch. Now she knows," Dice says, grinning like this is funny.

Cannot put this series down! I forgot just how much CM Owens suckers me in and consumes me.
Each book is an individual couple story but the main story rolls through all the books so must read in order.

Zee has been the quiet one, he has stood on the side lines, until he got the big power boost in Gage’s book. Just fuelled his self loathing as he never wanted to be a night stalker.

Then enters Leah, another “human”. He can’t keep away. He’s drawn to her and as much as he tries to fight his attraction he just can’t help himself. Means he messes with Leah’s head a bit which played on my heart strings. Leah has always felt like a freak, like she doesn’t belong.
As much as fated mates aren’t really a thing in this series, definitely get the fated vibes with Thad & Roslyn and now Zee & Leah.
Of course Leah isn’t just a regular human, she’s a power house in her own right! Then her & Zee bond and BAM! Ultimate power couple!

Oh how I love Dice and his cheekiness. His obsession with hashtags is hilarious and he’s got the funniest one liners. But this book wins best Dice remark:
“This feels like Thad and Roslyn all over again. This is so not the time for doe-eyes, make out sessions, and love confessions. This shit only happens in the movies when they need a romantic element to keep the fucking chicks interested. Start killing people!!”

Slade is an arse in this book and it makes the reader really want to hate him. But I know him & Ella are the last book so I keep trying to see redeeming qualities, for Ella’s sake!

Bitten Beauty was by far the best book in this series. It offered everything, answers to questions we have had for so long, new questions, suspense, action, love, and so much more.

The chemistry between Zee and Leah gripped me from the beginning. They were both trying to fight something that they had no chance against. I loved their dynamic and I love how their relationship played out. I did not see some aspects of it coming.

The world of the Deadly Beauties is one of the most unique I've come across in my thirst for paranormal romance. C. M. Owens blends mythology with standard paranormal tropes to create a satisfying world that never ceases to amaze and entertain. The pop culture references in this book are spot on and add not only to the humor but serve as a nice contrast between characters who live in the now and those who've been isolated for centuries.

Night stalker and Anoited

Everyone thinks Zee is weak and dumb. However he is quite the opposite. Once he meets Leah he feels the siring call. Leah is an Aquarius an anointed. One of the first families with a strong bloodline even though it's hexed.

When Zee thinks Leah is dead he turns into something dark and very dangerous.

The circle keeps getting stronger and The "Master" is still collecting the Firsts. We learn more about Slade. However so much still needs to be learned.

OMG I love what they do to "The Leonard Boys".

Bitten Beauty

Zee and Leah are amazing together. He doesn’t want to change her and she is something completely different than what anyone even thinks she could be. The fight only keeps getting harder and more and more that escaped are revealed. Slade is making it confusing. Sometimes I like his character and other times I really don’t like him. I can’t wait to see what happens next!

Never thought I would be so crazy about this book because Zee was strictly background/support material up until now. CMO groomed him right into an amazing main character while hitting a nice vibe as he and Leah warmed up. Great series!

I did enjoy this book! The character are doing their best to fight off the evil that is trying to destroy them and the world. Unlikely love is found in all the right place when it comes to this story. I am anticipating the next book will blow my mind.

Hashtag over it!

Seriously, those hashtag lines date this book. I realize it was a (thankfully) very short fad, but it’s annoying. Aside from that, book was fairly on par with the rest of the series. Ready to wrap this up!

I always wanted to comment about Dice but kept on forgetting when I wrote a review. Dice was the clown in the group, and I liked him a lot. I find his hashtag quite entertaining, especially when he executed it in the perfect moment, but he could be annoying as hell with his antique when he tried too hard.

Meanwhile, the main characters, Zee and Leah, faced a difficult time. Leah didn't know she was something special. When she landed with Zee's team, she ran away but ended up with Kya's group. Tossed around between the two groups, it wasn't long before all hell broke loose, and Leah realised she wasn't what she thought she was and was labelled as dangerous by the others.

On the other hand, Zee tried hard to stay away from Leah, defying his needs to sire the Aquarius girl. But when Leah in danger, he couldn't resist to save her. It was interesting how the author wrapped up the story, making the impossible became possible. Salute you, C.M. Owens.
