I'm dangerous because I know what I want.
I'm a criminal because I got caught.

Five years locked up and the first thing I see on the other side is her - some goody-two shoes parole-office intern attempting to satisfy her newly discovered rebellious side with a taste of bad boy.

She doesn’t belong in my world, but she’s as stubborn as she is gorgeous and I kind of like the way she makes me feel…

...like an inferno.

After attempting to avenge his mother and sister’s death, Titan Blackstone serves 5 years in prison. He’s not sure what’s left for him on the outside once he’s released, but he’s definitely not expecting the girl waiting for him.

Jordana Perry’s mother is nursing her own wounds of loss and she’s found some solace in Titan’s father. A criminology major with an internship in the parole office and a bleeding heart, Jordana isn’t put off being the one to greet her potential step-brother, convict Titan, upon his reintroduction to freedom.

Titan once had a bright and promising future. Now he’s broken and jaded. Jordana’s no stranger to family tragedy, but she hasn’t lost her passion for helping reform lost felons. And Titan more than incites that passion.

“‘Five year, Jordana. Five long f*cking years. Do you have any idea what that does to a man? I’m right there. On the edge. You are too. I could kiss you so f*cking hard right now, and I could promise you you won’t want it to end there.’”

He hasn’t been with a woman in five years. She’s tired of dating good guys. Titan is gritty and brass and off limits not only as a future step-sibling but also because of the nature of her internship. Jordana doesn’t let any of those things deter her though.

Will Titan let himself be “wanted” again? Can Jordana break down his walls? Will they both gamble too much and risk their futures? And who’s behind the random beatings around town?

Aside from Jordana and Titan’s can’t-resist-each-other encounters, there’s also a mystery subplot and a twist or two along the way. Told via Titan and Jordana’s alternating first person POV, I mainly liked both of the characters and the plot moved along at a steady pace. The story kept me interested from start to finish. I hope we see more of Titan and Jordana in the next book that spins off the MMA fighting angle.

I honestly dont know what to say

I HATE reading interracial romance books. Mostly because few authors can do it well. They make it so that the race of the person becomes almost a character in and of it's own. To me this has always seemed racist in a real patronizing way. Like when in every single interaction the context involves pointing out the contrast of skin pigment. I am an activist and a strong believer in equality especially when it comes to the right to love and be loved regardless of gender, race, social standing, religion, or any other classification. So when I read a romance novel where race becomes taboo that pisses me off. Because its not taboo and as long as both parties are of legal age and entering into the relationship with consent then let's focus on the love and not the archaic mentality that what is being done is in someway forbidden.
So when I got a few chapters in and saw it was one of "those" books I stopped reading and went to download something else. Just my luck I was stuck waiting on my oil change and they didn't have WiFi. So do I read guns and ammo for the next 2 hours or do I give this book a chance. Well I gave it two hours then my car was done and I sat in my car and gave it another 30 min. Rushed home and finished it with a big smile on my face. I am a bog girl and I can admit when I have been wrong. In this case I was wrong to assume the worst in the author. She never once made it a topic other than the few times she said something about the physical appearances of the characters and even that was done with taste and minimalism. I think other author's of this genre should look to this as an example of how to write a romance between two people and not bring to the forefront the differences that reinforce stereotypes of forbidden love. It was a breath of fresh air and an honor to read the works of MAYA HAWK. I hope to see many more great things from this young woman in the future.

I received this book as an ARC for a in exchange for a honest review. ThE charaters are well developed and the story line keeps pulling you deeper in as you read. This book has a hot as bad boy, a twist to a mystery. I was hooked on bad boy Titan Blackstone.

Titan was getting released from prison after serving five year for avenging his mother and sisters death. Titan soon to be stepsister picks Jordana picks him up from jail. He make her uncomfortable on the ride home he was pissed because his dad Lewis couldn't take the time out of his day to pick him up. Titian though the world ended when he lost his mother and sister and there was no good left of him especially after being a felon. Lewis tells Titan he can stay with the has them for month then has to leave. Titan finds a mechanics job and co-worker tells him how he can make some extra cash fighting. Titan takes his chance with the fights so he can move faster.
Jordana has a intership to become a parol officer and help ex convicts something she has always wanted.Jordana has a big heart and wants to help convicts make a better life for them when released from jail. A fellow intern makes her fell uncomfortable and later ends up beaten to death like her brother and several others . Jordana cant keep Titan off her mind so she sneaks and criminal record and it shows he no other criminal record but him beating the guy half to death that killed his mother and sister. Jordana cant help but think about helping Titan because his father doesnt want to hlep him so she give him the keys to her brothers car that t way he can get to work.
Titan confronts Jordana about her wanting to sleep with him.She admits it and tells him how awkward it would be at holidays and he tells her he plans on not comming back. They have a wild hot fuck session while the parents are gone.Titan moves out and Jordana is mad he didn't tell her he was moving out so soon. Jordana goes to see Titan he does everything to keep her away but it doesn't work she want give up on him like Lewis. Jordana is knows Titan can be the man he wanted to be befor he went to jail.Titan doesn't think there is room in his life for love and Jordana is going to stop and nothing to prove him wrong.
Someone is beating drunks up and has even left a few dead over several years. Now more men being beaten to death. Jordana gets a little worried about Titan being the man doing the beatings because some criminal will go back to jail within 90 day for the same offience that they went to jail for the first time. She learns Titan is fighting for extra cash and that was how he was able to move out so soon.

Titan is a convicted felon for taking revenge on the drunk driver who killed his mother and sister. Now he considers himself damaged goods, angry, and not letting anyone stand in his way. His ride home from prison was a beautiful woman he’d love to get a taste of after five years behind bars. Here she turns out to be his soon-to-be stepsister, Jordana and is totally off limits…but she seems to want him…and he thinks he wants her too…

Ooh, Titan is the perfect bad boy and Wanted is an erotic thunderstorm! To say I loved this book is quite a misleading understatement! I haven’t read a book this exciting, down-and-dirty, and tummy-tickling in forever. Oh heck, if only we could all have such a bad boy of our very own. The world would no longer need heat since we’d all be producing it on our own! The sexual innuendo and erotic banter alone is reason to read this book immediately. This is my first Maya Hawk read, but you can bet it won’t be my last. As far as I’m concerned, she writes like a pro and her love scenes are real scorchers! Simply scrumptious! 5 Stars!

This is the first book I've read by Maya Hawk (and appears to be the second book she's written). Wanted is told from dual points of view. It's well-written, has a steady pacing, good chemistry between the characters, and an intriguing suspense element plot to keep me engaged.

I didn't love Jordana at the beginning. She was a little much with the upbeat personality, especially considering Titan's predicament. Her taking his bedroom while he was in prison really rubbed me the wrong way. That sounds like a silly detail, but I couldn't stop thinking about how insensitive it was and why didn't she change rooms since she discovered it right away.

Overall, I enjoyed the story. The next book is briefly set up as Titan (who does underground fighting on the side) becomes the trainer for a fighter in the epilogue. The fighter's book is next.

I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review.

I don't care for step brother type books. Nothing against the author. But one was enough and I don't like them.

This was a struggle from page 1
First, it doesnt say in the Synopsis that its a step brother novel .... i would have possible thought twice, as im not fond of them. ...
Jordana starts out as just an uptight pain in the butt (that really doesnt change) And titan is just a jerk. (Again doesnt really change) . They really arent developed well enough. With some developing they could possibly be good characters. The side characters need some development as well.
A few chapters in, i thought ok, hey maybe it has some potential but that soon fled my mind. There are just too many errors in tense, and even quite a few where the POV seems to change and you get a little confused because it seems like a conversation but in reality it switched to a POV of a character that is minor and shouldnt have one at all ....
titan goes from one paragraph saying its just sex to the next saying shes his ... its kinda just thrown upon you and not in a good flowing way so it really sort of makes it completely unbelievable.
I read it to the end, hey i didnt even skip to the end but i really didnt enjoy it. I could have some potential but it would have to be added too and edited a bit.
I am going to give the next book that was included in this purchase a try because this is just one book and it doesnt mean the author isnt a good author, it just means i cant connect at all with this book and maybe i will be able to in the next so i'll give it one more try ...

Great story my Ms. Hawk. Love the character of Jordana- she was a bit intense and wanted to do everything right when really she wanted to “make” everything right for one person--convicted felon Titan. The angst between them was so real and Titan put up a huge wall and gave her such grief—all because she actually CARED about what happens to him. Titan’s story is probably one that 45 percent of prisoners go to jail over today about – for the supposed right reasons. -Titan went to jail for doing something that he thought was right and served 5 years and then got out and finds he has family that wants to spend time with him—its his dad . But there is some lingering bitterness left over between the two men and some uneasy feelings from when he was the one who was tougher with her. But now, now there is a chemistry in the air and after prison, he doesn’t think he can push her away again—as for Jordana , she doesn’t need or want Titan pushing her away anymore. If they are going to make it, she needs him to start growing up and working with her, not against them.

Great story, loved the action and adventure . the ending was good.

My rating :4.2 stars ****

Titan went to jail for doing something that he thought was right. He was avenging his mother and sister's death. When he got out though his father really wanted him around. He has a new girlfriend to worry about. So Titan moved out after her had slept with his dad's girlfriend's daughter.

Jordana was a college student who was studying criminology. She wanted to help as many people getting out of jail as she could. She thought her life was going just fine until she picked up Titan from jail. She couldn't believe what he looked liked. Then the one time she thinks that just having sex will get him out of her system it turns out differently.

Titan tried to push Jordana away but could he really after the way she made him feel. Would it be enough for him to change. How did she make him that made him want to change.

I received an Advance Reader Copy of this book through the Hidden Gems ARC program in exchange for an honest review. I enjoyed Maya Hawk's characters Titan and Jordana. The storyline was a mixture of human interest story, romance, fire, passion and mystery. The romantic scenes get very steamy. I identified with Jordana's character as she progressed through this story. Reading about Jordana reminded me of things I experienced or imagined in college. This is a great new adult/contemporary romance read with other wonderful elements to it as well. Titan is rather a silent and mysterious type that I enjoyed watching unfold as the pages sped by. I recommend this book to others that enjoy a good read.

Such a great story! Titan is a man that wanted revenge and he paid a high price for acting on that need. He's a smart man, a strong man and I admire that about him. He's not going to allow himself to get in trouble again and having Jordana around is even better. Really like her and how she stands up for herself. I like the bit of mystery also. I'm looking forward to the next book!

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. What starts out as a strained and awkward relationship soon turns to good love story between two likable, opposites attract people. I really liked the storyline and what the author did with the characters. It's a great coming to terms with the past story and I really liked it.

What an unexpected little jem. My second and definite favourite Maya Hawk book.
Good story.Great characters. I was very pleased with how neat and tidy the storyline was. I was more than pleased with the development of the love story. It felt quite natural and had genuine emotion.

Titan and Jordana are explosive!! Good boy turned bad and a good girl who wants him. This is one of those stories where you are set right along side them in this roller coaster ride of lust and heavy emotions.
Definitely worth the read...

Wow. What a great alpha male story with characters that had genuine chemistry. This book also contained a second book, Pierced, which was just as entertaining and hot.

Again I'm saddened to report that this book was extremely lacking in the romance scenes. The suspenseful story was outstanding! But since the other scenes (the ones I look forward to reading) were lacking I don't think I'll be recommending this author anytime soon.
