A story about a childhood, a story about my childhood - literally. About growing up in a tiny place called Øreåsen. A beautiful place surrounded by a lake and nature but filled with people on benefits or manual workers, full of problems and conflicts but also magical. He writers about actual teachers and people I know and did them justice. There are always mysterious things happening - in the book and in real life. Disappearences, murders, suicides, drugs. But still it all felt safe somehow. And we did have the best teachers. An extra parent when needed. And that is why this book exists. Perhaps.
