R U Medically Curious ?: Common Topics - Simply Explained

Rate this book
Are you medically curious? Not just a little, but really curious? You spend your whole life in the same body. As a physician, I’m astounded by how little you know about that wonderful creation. Almost daily, you hear – and repeat – all the correct CAT scan, diabetes, carpal tunnel, strep throat, rotator cuff, COPD, etc. The sad part is that most of you haven’t a clue what those really are!I wrote R U Medically Curious? to help change all that. My name is Dr. Larry Romane. I’m board certified in Emergency Medicine and spent 35 years as an ER doc. Since retiring, I spend my time teaching and writing about medicine. My premise is provide evidence based medical knowledge at a high school reading level. My journals, textbooks, and experience provide the knowledge. My wife, Betty Ray, and my editor, Ted, keep me to that layman level. Not sure if you need this book? Remember those 6 medical terms above? Tell me exactly what each one means – in 10 words or less. Having trouble? Maybe you’re more medically curious than you thought.
