Dr. John C. Kim's “Why Me?“is not just a book—it’s a living testimony to a man whose resilience, faith, and purpose transformed countless lives, including mine. Having had the privilege of knowing Dr. Kim since 2009 through the Global Leadership Development Institute, I’ve seen firsthand how he embodied the very principles he wrote about. His story of overcoming immense hardships and answering life’s challenges with determination and grace has been a continual source of inspiration to me.
As I reflect on this book tonight, it carries an even deeper meaning. After battling much with his cancer, Dr. Kim is preparing to join our heavenly Father, and though my heart is heavy with grief, I am filled with gratitude for the legacy he leaves behind. His journey from adversity to triumph, and his unwavering commitment to lifting others, reminds us all of the profound impact one life can have. Dr. Kim’s desire to live with purpose and inspire others is a shining example of God’s love and faith in action.
As I revisit “Why Me?”, it takes on new significance as I think about the countless people his story will continue to touch. It reminds me that the lessons Dr. Kim shared in his writing—and in his life—are timeless. His faith, his courage, and his compassion will live on in the hearts of everyone who had the blessing of knowing him or reading his story.
Dr. Kim’s life was a gift, and his impact will resonate long after tonight. I will forever hold his lessons close, grateful for the honor of having known him as a mentor, a leader, and a friend. This book, like the man himself, will continue to inspire and guide us to be our best selves. 🙏❤️

This memoir shows God's goodness to provide every resource a person needs. Even better it shows how true repentance transforms a life. Profound lessons.
