Chasing a ghost is easy. It's finding yourself that's the real challenge.
Drowning in darkness, Mace struggles to move on from a past filled with sorrow. Anger is a much easier emotion to handle, one he readily embraces. Burying himself in his work and spending his nights with his brotherhood of bikers, Mace is determined to spend his life playing by his own rules.
Plagued by her own guilt, Lena desires nothing more than to break free from her past and to start afresh. But fear and anxiety threaten to keep her hostage, leaving her frustrated and stifled. The last thing she expects is another brooding man to be her possible way out.
While Lena is determined to fight for her future outside of the Deadwood MC, Mace is resolute to avoid any hope of happiness. Together, they have to decide what they're willing to risk for the perfect chance.
Spending the last few years near the Queensland coast, Becca is rarely out of the sea or off the beach. Dragging her long board with her and her overworked Kindle Fire, Becca enjoys her three addictions: reading, surfing and ogling surfers, one of whom is her husband of ten years.
She can still be found regularly on the beach with her family. Becca tends to leave the surfing to her boys; she's far too busy immersed in her own writing or, of course, with her head still buried in a new read.
Becca Lee is a new to me author and I'm so happy that I read this book.
This is a beautiful story about ugly pasts that provides second chances and overcoming difficult obstacles in your life.
Mace has been haunted by a tragic incident for years that has caused him to become obsessed with finding out the truth of what happened that night. His entire life changed and he wasn't coping well. The only thing that kept him going was the pursuit of the truth and his unlikely friend Diesel from The Deadwood MC.
Lena is the brother of Diesel and has suffered her own tragic past that has left her with severe anxiety and multiple attempts to find the right coping mechanisms. She's desperate to put this behind her and not let it rule her world but the struggle is extremely challenging not only for her but for those that love her.
Both Mace and Lena have secretly been watching each other for the past four years. Neither one thinks that the other wants anything to do with them beyond their minimal platonic interactions. With Lena's desire to battle her demands, Mace suddenly becomes the main person in her life to help accomplish this. It's a journey that is both difficult and possibly healing for both of them.
It was very easy to relate to Mace and Lena's story. Both of the issues that they are dealing with are very realistic and things that many people have to overcome in their lives. Unfortunately. Their story is real, honest, heartbreaking, beautiful and uplifting.
Although this can be read as a standalone, there are a few minor characters in this book who have their story told before this one. I only mention this because I enjoyed this book enough that I want to go and read the others and find out their stories as well. Well done, Ms. Lee. I look forward to reading some of your other work!
I am so glad I got a chance to read this book. It is wonderful This is the story of Mace and Lena! Both have suffered tragic pasts that have scarred them deeply. Mace is obsessed with his past and is not handling his present very well. Lena is also struggling with her past and has crushing anxiety. She wants to move on but can't seem to find the right coping mechanisms to do do. Mace and Lena have known each other for years and both have misconceptions about the other. The two are thrust together by Lena's brother Diesel needing Mace to protect Lena for a few days. During that time the two get to know one another and begin to explore their feelings for each other. They struggle with their issues and find a way to help each other through their battles. Their story is raw, beautiful and realistic. Watching Mace and Lena grow separately and together is a beautiful journey. This book has a lot of ups, downs, twists and turns to keep you hooked to the end. I loved this book! Thank you Becca Lee! I received an arc copy for an honest review
This is the third book in this series however it can be read as a standalone. This book was fantastic. It has danger, cops, bikers, alpha males, romance and more. Mace was a cop until a take down went all wrong and he lost his fiance. He was determined to take down everyone who had anything to do with it. Now over four years later he is no longer a cop and is still trying to figure out who was behind it all. He has his suspicions and as a PI for the last for years has continued to look for the person or people. Mace had made friends with Diesel the president of the of a motorcycle club while he was a police officer and their friendship has helped him as a PI. He is a member without a patch. Lena is Diesel's sister and she has her own issues. Both Lena and Mace are attracted to each other however their own issues keep them from even truly thinking about even attempting to start anything. That is until Diesel needs Mace to keep Lena safe for a few days. They had just started working together as a way to help Lena with her issues. Then being together and Mace's house helps Lena let Mace know how she really feels about him. Lena letting Mace know her feelings gives him the push to realize how deeply he really feels for her. Will their issues get in the way or will they be able to help each other overcome them? I can't say enough about this book. She much takes place during the book. Both Lena and Mace have some very emotional baggage they need to deal with. Surprisingly enough instead of holding them back they seem have a way of helping each without really trying. They bring a calmness to each other just by being around each other. The characters in this book are fantastic. I can't wait to read books 1 and 2 in this series now. Becca Lee is a fantastic author and I look forward to reading more of her books in the future. I was given this book in return for an honest review.
“Own the memory and allow it to help shape you into the person you want to be. That’s how you honor the lives lost. That’s how you show your gratitude.”
“A burst of jealousy pulsed through me, wonder if Mace had ever been sweet-talked by her. I then rolled my eyes at myself at the ridiculousness, but hearts were fickle and apparently jealous things when they chose to be.”
My Review:
Book three in the Perfect series, but A Perfect Chance has strong legs and could easily be read as a stand-alone. I adore Becca Lee’s unique and quirky characters, and this book gives us plenty of interesting personal issues and family drama to work with. I reveled in the sweet and sexy love story of Mace and Lena and found their story compelling and heartwarming. I enjoyed seeing Mace’s protective and supportive care giving Lena confidence, comfort and strength to fight for her long overdue recovery. The grounded and balanced each other and I found Ms. Lee’s sweet and sensual style a welcome respite from the angsty conflict currently common within the genre. Her writing is also infused with generous hits of humor and insightful observations, which I greatly favor. Sigh, I am sad to have finished as I definitely enjoyed my three day Becca Binge, but now I have a new favorite author and plan to fangirl her hard.

I love second chance romances and this one is awesome both coming from troubled past Mace and Lena have a great story even if its not perfect.
Mace is searching for the truth of his past, a night he can't seem to let go, but the only thing keeping him sain is his family The Deadwood MC. Especially Diesel. Diesel sister Lena has had a tragic past as well that has left an imprint but she's desperate to move on but it's hard for her and those that care about her. Lena has always been drawn to Mace , but the thing is Mace is drawn to her as well. maybe being with each other is what they both need. loved it.
A Perfect Chance is an absolutely incredible testament to the power and the possibilities that love can unlock and transform in any life. You will find this beautiful story will quietly and sublimely ingrain itself into your very soul. What you will find within these pages is so much more than a simple love story. You will find the gift of boundless hope, the treasure of limitless potential, and the raw life-changing truth in its rarest and purest form. Life is meant to be enjoyed, cherished, and anticipated no matter who you are. Never put limits on yourself or anyone else.
Mace lives his life with purpose and heart. Everything he does is to help those around him who deserve everything that life has to offer. However, he knows he doesn’t deserve the same in return. He lost that privilege whenever he failed so completely the one person he loved more than anything. Now, his ultimate goal is to retribution, and he will do whatever it takes to achieve his goal. Lena had a limitless future in front of her until one day stole it all away. That one day decimated all of her dreams, and left her instead with fear and doubt. She resigned herself to living this half-life until Mace comes riding into her life. Mace is enthralled by this enigma name Lena who has captured his heart without even saying a word. Slowly, she fights to take her life back, and Mace finds himself in awe watching this amazing woman blossoming right before him. Can Lena find the courage to walk forward and take what she wants knowing that she is stronger and wiser for her past, or will she experience the ultimate setback when danger comes looking for her and Mace?
I was left honestly speechless by this incredible couple! Individually they have been torn apart and frayed at the edges, but as a couple, they piece together a breathtaking love that transcends their past and highlights a bright and magnificent future. Watching Mace follow his heart without tripping over his past fears was such a beautiful sight, and Lena never failed to amaze me at how much strength she truly held within her when she wanted nothing but Mace in her life. If the danger heading their way thinks it can destroy them without much of a fight, it has another thing coming. Mace and Lena will meet it head on and fight for all they are worth for their happiness, their future, and most importantly their love.
Becca Lee never fails to prove how impressively and powerfully talented she is! Each of her books will gently open your heart, find a hidden wound, and begin healing it before you know what it’s doing. There is nothing more capable of transforming a life then love, and Becca wields this knowledge with a gentle and loving hand of a mother, a lover, and a friend. This is why her books will forever remain as one of my all-time favorites. Nothing is more amazing then experiencing a story that touches you so deeply that it stays with you for a very long time. An imprint on your heart is a mark that stays with you for as long as you walk this Earth.
A Perfect Chance by Becca Lee is the third book in her Perfect series. Here we finally get Mace's story and find out exactly what happened to Abigail and why he has become the way he is.
Mace is a loner. He loves his family, he loved his job as a cop until it cost him his love, and he loves his friends at the MC where he is an honorary non-patched member. Diesel, the president of the MC, has been his close friend for a long time. He has always respected the man and absolutely followed the rules of dealing with his sister, Lena.
Lena suffered through a major traumatic event a few years ago and is now prone to massive panic attacks is any of her triggers occur. She has her safe zones, and safe people and everyone in her life has been as accommodating and respectful of her as they can. Even still, things sometimes get out of control and things happen. She is determined to get better though and pushes herself to get out of her comfort zone.
Diesel pushes these two (Mace and Lena) together as he believes they can help each other, and he's not wrong. He's seen the way they have acted around each other for years. Mace being ALWAYS respectful of Lena and her rules and Lena making eyes at Mace when he's not watching. What happens when they both step outside of their comfort zones allows them to help each other heal the damaged parts of their souls.
When Mace's past begins to rear its ugly head and a rival MC gang decides to cause problems with Diesel's club, all bets are off and we will find out just how capable Mace and Lena are of taking care of each other.
LOVED IT! There was more grit and darkness to this story than the two previous books. It was done well and the tension was kept at a constant throughout, always waiting for that other shoe to drop, and when it does it is a well-thought out conclusion to the story arc.
What happens when you loved one is taken from you right in front of your own eyes?
This is Mace and Lena’s story, its beautifully heartbreaking both with more baggage than an airport but they still manage to find love within one another.
Mace’s fiancé Abagail was killed right in front of him by a cold heart gang member and since that day Mace has made it his mission to find who sabotaged there raid to find who set them up.
He must seek revenge for the death of Abigail.
Lena is the sister to the president of The Deadwood MC Diesel, Lena has had her fair share of tragedy and was nearly killed by a terrorist. But she was the lucky one and she was saved but not without the scars to prove her battle and now suffers major anxiety and has many other issues that now limit her once eventful life.
Lena wants to start living her life again and wants to put her uni degree to use but this comes with a lot of challenges. Lena only goes to places she feels safe, places she knows so Diesel and Mace come up with a plan to get her to work in the office at Mace’s security firm.
After a few weeks and lots of work to finally get Lena to be able to go to the office a new set of problems arise for Mace.
He wants her.
He needs her.
Her brother approves.
But will Lena fear Mace’s touch?
After a few weeks of bliss things take a turn and danger is lurking.
Can Mace protect Lena?
Will he be too late?
We loved this story by Becca Lee we fell head over hills for Mace he is such a beautiful soul and just the way he cares for everyone around him and always puts there needs before his own is truly beautiful to read and to watch Lena become a strong independent women who fights her struggles on a daily basis shows such strength and character.
Review by The Club I received an ARC for an honest review
Mace is out for revenge. After witnessing his fiancé murdered during a setup he's now trying to catch all responsible for her death. There is no room for anything else, especially women. And with the help of an MC president, he's close to finding the man on the police force that gave up their location.
Lena has witnessed a tragedy that has had major consequences to her mental health. Her breakdowns due to the incident make it hard to live her life. Anything new or unknown has triggered her attacks and she's frustrated. She just wants to move forward and put it behind, and maybe even have a relationship where she's not worried about being afraid to be touched. Seeing Mace at the club daily for 4 years has made her realizes she wants him. But how can she when not only her attacks stop her, but her brother, the president of the MC club, keeps her in a bubble so nobody can get to her?
When an opportunity arises, Lena and Mace are forced to work beside each other and temptation turns to more then they ever expected.
The story has heartbreak and revenge written all over it. The circle of people involved and the who done its keeps you wondering who the rat is and hoping that Mace can exact his revenge and still get the girl. The sex scenes were hot and rough, as you'd expect from a biker but the chemistry between the two are off the charts. Mace and Lena are the calm to each other's Storm. Somehow they know what the other needs without being asked and it's that connection that makes everyone envy what they have. They both went through tragedies that nobody should ever witness and came out stronger in the end.
This story also leads to more with other members of the Mc club and I hope to read more about them in coming books.

4 Rockette Stars
A Perfect Chance is a fast paced sexy MC story following Mace and Lena. I understand that these characters have been introduced in earlier books in the series and when I get a chance of my own, I'll be going back to read the rest as I really enjoyed Becca's writing.
I have always been a fan of motorcycle stories and once you find a series you love it is difficult not to compare it to others but this book holds it't own and the characters are very relatable.
After Mace is entrusted with Lena's protection. He has no choice but to spend time with the haunted woman he thought was off limits. Lena is unsurprisingly suffering from a severe case of PTSD following a traumatic event in her past and as such she has been leading a very sheltered existence. Mace has his own demons to deal with but cant help to be drawn to her and they eventually give in to their attraction for one another. Unfortunately neither of them seem to be able to move forward with their pasts hanging over them.
But we all know the past doesn't stay where it belongs and it's not long before Mace is confronted with his while fighting to save the woman he loves. This story moves at a good pace and I was very frustrated when I had to put it down.
If you like hot alpha males and need a fix of some bad ass bikers you won't be disappointed in picking up this book but I would suggest starting at the beginning of the series.
All in all a very enjoyable read I would recommend to others who enjoy this genre.
***Review has been gifted in exchange for my honest opinion and on behalf of Kats Book Promotions/ Katsindiebookblog.*** Oh how I’ve been expecting this book. I’ve been waiting to hear the story of the sexy Mace. You have a great mixture excitement between bikers, cops, and don’t forget a little bit of romance is added in too. Mace is your typical alpha male who was a cop until an unfortunate turn of events happened. Not only is he no longer a cop, but the death of his fiancé has taken a toll on Mace. Now a PI, he is doing whatever it takes to find out who caused these problems. Lena is the sister of Diesel, a MC President, who Mace has befriended over the years. With another turn of events, Diesel has asked Mace to keep an eye on Lena and keep her safe. Since spending time together, they both start feeling the pull for each other, but their issues seem to be standing in the way. Can they work through their issues and be together? Or will it just pull them apart even more? A Perfect Chance is a perfect name for this story. Everything is laid out perfectly, but it takes the two people in this story to put the pieces together to make it perfect. This was a well written story by the lovely Becca, and I can’t wait to read more into her mind. You have a huge mixture of everything in this book and it’s one you don’t want to miss out on!
I have to say I have really enjoyed this series so far, Becca was a new author to me but I will definitely be keeping an eye out for more of her work when it gets released.
This is Liam's brother Mace's story. We meet Mace in Liam and Jo's book and learn some of the struggles he has dealt with but it isn't until this book that we get to hear the extent of his heartache. He feels responsible for the things that happened to both Jo and Abi and doesn't think he can get close to another woman after these tragic events. I really liked Mace, I didn't think I would like his as much as I did though.
Lena had witnessed an awful crime take place and battles anxiety, she struggles to go anywhere except her few safe places. Lena thinks she is weak but I have to say I felt her character showed amazing strength to overcome what she did! I have lived with mild anxiety not too long ago and it can be totally debilitating, the way Becca wrote this character really struck a cord and although I never dealt with anything as sinister as Lena it made me relate to her easier!
This book flowed flawlessly, the characters were all really likeable and I loved the style of writing. I really hope Dani and Diesel get a story!
Every girl dreams to be rescued by their Knight in shining armor. Lena however didn't think she deserved love, due to her demons she battle daily.
Mace had one goal in life seek revenge on the death of his girlfriend, never did he imagined helping a friend would heal his broken souls and defeat his demons.
Honoring the name, this book was perfect. If you asked how I envision this series ending I would had never came up with an ending like this one.
For me Mace and Lena's love story is my favorite one, this two deserve love and happiness. You do not want to miss this book. Not only will it bring you a smile but will make your heart dance for this two.
I recommend for you to read this book and the series, this is one of them you don't want to pass.
Gifted by author in exchange for an honest review.
I was gifted an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. So although this book can be easily read as a standalone, it is the third book in a series that has held my heart and my attention from the absolute beginning. I really, really liked Preston in A Perfect Moment, I fell in love with Liam in A Perfect Love.... but Mace? I am all his! He is fierce, loyal and protective. He lost the love of his life tragically many years ago and while he vowed to avenge her, he also vowed to never let his heart love again. And that probably would have been easy, if he never met Lena. This soft, lost soul gave him a reason to carry on, a reason to live again. So he made the choice to do just that. To grab life by the horns and live it. But first he had to get rid of his past that was threatening to destroy his future.
Maybe I'd better day some more or else it wouldn't be a review. This book kept my interest from beginning to end. I haven't read any of the other books in the series and this one was a standalone BUT I think I would have enjoyed reading the rest first. As I didn't I am now going back to read them all.
Becca Lee is a great storyteller, she has lots of twists and turns to keep you guessing and she is great at explaining the feelings of the characters.
I am definitely going to read more of her work after I have devoured the rest of this series.
I was given this book in exchange of an honest review.
I give this book 5 pink stars and would give it more if I was allowed to!!
I received this book in exchange for an honest review. Wow! I know it's a cliche' for loving Jax off SoA, but Mace can give Jax run for his money. This was a super HOT MC story with definitely no shortage of hot men. Lots of action, and a crazy plot! Mace is a straight up sexy alpha male, with on weakness... and her name is Lena. A young woman that had an extreme life event that put her through hell, and coping with her PTSD and extreme anxiety is her daily life. But Mace has his own demons to work on, but is he ever stuck on Lena. But she's off limits being his best friends little sister, until her safety is in jeopardy. Then the alpha-male, protective as whole comes out. He would do anything to save his Lena. What a great book!
The Perfect Chance is an almost biker story of two people learning to heal each others wounds— She has gone through something traumatic and he learns to love again. With a delightful mix of Sexy, bikes and action, let yourself loose on this ride with an ex-cop turned PI on what life is all REALLY about.
A Perfect Chance is book 3 in Becca Lee's Perfect series. However, for me, this is the first of her books that I've read. It will not, however, be the last. I really enjoyed reading this. It is written from the p.o.v.s of both Lena and Mace. The transitions are wonderfully handled. Even when there was overlap between their p.o.v.s, it was written so well that it didn't feel like I was reading the same things more than once. Scenes only overlapped enough to set the reader in the right place in the story. The same was true for the couple of time jumps present as well. The prologue is set several years before the events in chapter 1 and there are a couple of scenes that are either flashbacks or backtracks. But they flow so well into the story.
The characters are so well written also. They're dynamic and their growth throughout the story is clear. Mace and Lena are great characters and I absolutely adored Mace. Though the character I really want to find out more about is Jase. He was completely unobtrusive, but he stuck out to me. I really want to read more about him. Becca, can we pretty-please-with-a-cherry-on-top get a story about Jase?
The story was engaging and kept me glued to my ereader until I was finished. However, I did see the 'bad guy' right off the bat. But that's certainly not to say that he wasn't well disguised, it's just my unfortunate knack for noticing tiny details. So anyway, there's the story, then there's the story behind the story... as in why Mace and Lena are where they are and what they're doing. That story was pretty sweet in and of itself. It was raw, it was real, and it was heartbreaking and uplifting at the same time. Clearly, she put more thought into that backstory than most people put into naming their first child.;) But really, the backstory created a wonderful connection between Mace and Lena that was both physical and emotional, and Ms. Lee did such an astounding job putting that connection into words and making the reader feel that connection too.
One thing I loved was that this one gives you a taste of the biker romance without having to delve deep into the MC scene. Sure, I love a good MC romance and enjoyed the sprinkling of MC action that happened here, but it was nice to read a biker romance from outside of all of that.
If you like bada** alpha males with tortured backstories, this one is definitely high on my list of recommends!

Chasing a ghost is easy. It's finding yourself that's the real challenge.
Perfect Chance is book 3 in Becca Lee's Perfect series this time focusing on Mace and Lena. It was fast paced mixed with intrigue, passion and second chance love.
I really enjoyed Mace and Lena's story but...yes there is a but I felt some things were rushed with no real development or natural progression of their relationship however, I feel that although this can be read as a standalone had I read the previous two books in the series I think the development probably would have been built up enough for me to not feel like it lacked in this book. I enjoyed the writing style and particularly liked how the story was laced with humour even though it has an air of mystery and danger throughout and some pretty heartfelt moments. The characters were well written, connectable and the banter between the main and secondary characters was laugh out loud funny. I will definitely be reading the other books in the series as well as checking out more works from Becca Lee.
Would highly recommend to readers who enjoy second chance romances.

Wow, what can I say about this story. It had me crying, and laughing all the way through. We meet Mace, he is chasing ghosts of his past after losing his Fiancee in a raid and getting shot by the Riots Leader Nox. He decides to leave the force with Diesels help, President of the local MC who he became friends with even though he was a police officer. He thought he would never find happiness again, but lusted for Diesel's sister Lena, but he followed the rules about no touching. Until one day he gave her a job at his Security firm to help her get out. We meet Lena, she is Desiel's sister and suffers bad anxiety attacks after something happening in Melbourne a few years ago. She can't handle anyone touching her or getting out of the club. But she is determined to not let it rule her life after years of being scared to go anywhere she didn't know. She asked her brother if she could have a job outside of the clubhouse where she worked the bar. She finds a job at Mace's security firm. She has always had a crush on him, thinking his gorgeous. Will Mace ever find his ghosts? Will he ever find out what really happened at the raid? Will Lena ever be able to get through life without suffering anxiety attacks? This story is simply amazing. It is about second chances, and that you can get over your demons and darkness. This story couldn't help but tug at your heart strings and make you fall in love with the whole characters. It is simply written so well. WTMO

A Perfect Chance (Perfect Series Book 3) by Becca Lee; however, I read it as a standalone. It is a fast paced, steadily evolving, realistic, sexy, gritty, raw, dark, beautiful MC romance told in dual POVs. This was my first experience with Becca Lee’s writing and it will not be my last!
Mace (Liam’s brother) is an alpha, loaner, ex-cop, PI, and Honorary Deadwood MC member that suffers from the loss over a woman he loved. Lena is Diesel’s sister who is very haunted, suffers from PTSD and locks herself away in her safe places hiding from the world. The two combined sparks electrical currents that can ignite the reader’s veins wanting desiring more and not wanting to step out of this heartbreaking story for anything.
I am rating Perfect Chance by Becca Lee 4.8 stars! I loved this book and highly recommend it. I am going to get the other books in the series and look forward to finding out what she creates in the future. This story does not need more information than was provided as a standalone; it did male me want to know the full stories of other characters within this book and gain a new author to stalk. ;)
This is the story of two broken people coming together and finding love again. We have Mace who lost his wife Abigail a few years ago and never forgave himself for her death. We have Lena who survived a mass murder and suffers from post traumatic stress. I enjoyed the book and the writing was good but I felt like something was missing. I had a hard time feeling the connection of the main characters. They've had feelings for each other for years but there wasn't enough build up for my liking. The plot was good and I had to find out who killed Mace's wife and I didn't see that one coming. Overall the book was enjoyable and held my interest. I will definitely give another book by this author a shot.

Love Becca Lee! This book wasn't going to change that fact, either. Becca never fails to deliver a great story of romance with some humor attached. A Perfect Chance was so much entertainment for me.
