My educational background includes a combined degree – psychology-criminal justice-sociology and a teaching certificate for secondary education. Lots of various jobs, something common in rural communities because there isn’t much available, so you need to be flexible."

I really enjoyed the interactions between all the characters. It was fun to see other characters come back in this story.
Cam is a Master who owns Dark Desires. He has his wife and submissive, CeCe and child who he loves but he is missing something. After receiving a threat on his wife, he asks his friends to help him. Assigned to his case is a former lover, Carl. Carl is asked to watch over CeCe and give her a chance to experience a ménage. Cam is going to shake up their lives in order for all of them to live happily ever after. After they take care of the threat, of course.
Cam is a Master who owns Dark Desires. He has his wife and submissive, CeCe and child who he loves but he is missing something. After receiving a threat on his wife, he asks his friends to help him. Assigned to his case is a former lover, Carl. Carl is asked to watch over CeCe and give her a chance to experience a ménage. Cam is going to shake up their lives in order for all of them to live happily ever after. After they take care of the threat, of course.

Loved Cam, Carl, and Cece
25years ago Cameron Barns and Carl Pillips were best friends and more. Cam walked away and joined the Navy, thinking he was protecting his best friend. He set out to right as many wrongs in the world that he could. Now he needs help in protecting his beloved wife and infant daughter. He goes to the West's, who's elite team is his best chance in finding the person or persons behind the threat.
Carl Phillips was devastated when Cam walked out of his life without a word. Close to rock bottom, he joined the Navy, and met empath Peter Weston in BUD/s. They have been best friends since. Cam Barnes, has haunted him.
Now retired, Carl and Peter are working for the West brothers. They have just been assigned to protect Dr Cece Barnes and her young daughter. Carl is very mixed on meeting Cam again.
Cam knows Carl is coming. He he has a plan for their future. First he needs to see Carl face to face. Then Carl needs to meet Cece.
Dr Cece Barnes is a brilliant pediatrics surgeon, a job she loves. She lives a 24\7 Dom/slave lifestyle away from work, something she needs. Her master and husband, and now young daughter, are her world. Someone has made threats against her and her daughter. Her master has brought in help. She has been instructed to treat Master Carl as she would treat himself. She finds a different kind of Dom in Carl, softer in his care, a different feeling comfort and safety in his arms.
It becomes clear, Cam wants Carl as their third. Cece needs things he can't provide, and Carl can.
Cece realizes what they once were to each other, and wants both her masters to be happy. They both make her happy. Cam and Carl need to make their little family safe. First they need to catch and end the threat to Cece and their daughter.
Fast paced and very steamy MFM MMF, does contain MM, BDSM, second chance romance. Loved Cam, Carl and Cece. Some great new characters are introduced. A set up for Peter and Fischer Weston and Lara Emmons story and maybe for Mitch and Aspen.

Really enjoyed this book it is a great addition to the series while it can be read on its own maybe it is best to read this series in order,

Not disappointed
While this is the first of Avery's books that I have read that is a mmf, she did not disappoint. I have read all of this series, her Shadowdance and Isola series as well. Her menage stories are some of the best I have read.
Cam and Carl's past was one I did not expect, but it played out perfectly. With Cam and CeCelia already married I was wondering how it would all work together. It does. My only complaint is that we didn't get to see how the collaring ceremony goes....but I have no doubt that we will see it in an upcoming book.

Another hot book from Avery Gale.
Lily West and most of the crew at Prairie Winds' enjoyed a holiday in this book. Cameron Barnes and his beautiful wife have problems that the Prairie Winds military squad is called upon to handle. Cam is trying to make some life changes and someone wants to kill his wife and submissive. Read along as the action gets hot in Austin, burns hotter in New York, before exploding in St Maarten. Love the book Avery Gale, please keep writing.

Cameron Barnes and Carl Phillips have been keeping a secret for 25 years but the only people they're fooling is themselves. I loved this story and these three characters. The chance to right a wrong is not often given to us so when Cam is given a second chance, he grabs it with both hands. Adding one more element to their Master/slave dynamic in the form of another Master is just what the doctor ordered. Now they just have to keep her safe and happy.

I enjoyed this book and the way that Avery Gale told this story. Avery can definitely get me to laughing with the antics of CeCe and Tobi. My only problem with this book is that I did find quite a few errors, typos, wrong names in the wrong places. I have read everyone of Masters of the Prairie Winds and have enjoyed the series.
