I loved the funny and, at the same time, the lovely context in which the author approached a biblical idea (like having a guardian angel) and added to it a remarkable dose of romance. Even if the subject seems a classic one – opposites attract, Angelin Sydney conquered me with the manner in which she wrote it with a new and fresh twist, in a lovely Sydney background.

Besides that, I appreciated that, even if the story is short, the writer made it somehow positively complex, using an imaginative set of language, context, and engaging characters.

Angelin Sydney captivated me with her unique way of crafting a story from the beginning and I would warmly recommend “When Angels Dare,” especially to the ones who are looking for an untypical and delicious love story!

This is about a doctor who has a busy but lonely life. He talks about his life as if it repeats day by day, save lives, drink coffee, rinse, repeat. Little does he know that he has a guardian angel looking after him and tries to set him up with love.

This short story is a cute romance and I really liked that you’re given multiple perspectives, from the angels, the characters’ themselves, and our own.

I’d definitely recommend this book because it’s not like the typical romance at all, the angels give the story a whole new twist.
(Plus, you get tons of free bonus previews to other books by this author, which I’m sure after reading this book, you’ll want to read.)

When Angels Dare
It is an engaging short-story that I enjoyed reading. It is a funny, magical book that has a lot of humor from the dialogs of the Angels. A lot of drama is also depicted in the story.
The characters and the tale itself is just lovely.
It is a short-story that can be made into a novella had the author been inclined.

I recommend the book to everyone, and I give it a five-star rating.

When Angels Dare is a short story, that in the short amount of time it takes to read it, does an amazing job, building characters and building a reader connected. What if everyone had their own personal guardian Angel? What if those angels could intervene in order to guide you to meet the love of your life. The writing in this short story is great, making it so easy to attach to the characters. Once I started I had a very hard time stopping. Such a great book.

An adorable little tale of romance.

I love the way the author portrays their characters like you are living their lives alongside them rather than just watching their lives unfold. Beautiful descriptiveness and includes a little bit of humor. I found this to be perfectly written and this could have easily been a novel in its own right rather than a short story.

Loved it

There's always something right with a good love story. It doesn't always need to be fancy, but a story well told is enough to get me hooked to it as a reader. As I picked up 'When Angel's dare', I had a good feeling about it. But often these romantic novels go down the same path and fail to excite me. However, I found Angelin's novel quite different from the rest, and it definitely lived up to my expectations.
The story begins with a doctor, Daniel in Sydney. In this alternate universe, every human has a guardian angel ( now I'm no teenager, but the idea of having cupid looking over for me was adorable) . In the story, Daniel always getting into a mess and needed the help of his angel Galileo. I liked how the author as portrayed the angels as a friend and philosopher who would help to plan the future. Daniel is lonely, and so Galileo decides to bring some 'love' into his life.
And we have Guin, a female teacher, smart and independent. And unlike Daniel, Guin is never in trouble and for her angel Thaddeus being a guardian is nothing but a cake walk. With help from Thaddeus, Galileo cooks up a plan to make the two meet. I liked these charming matchmaking ideas and the entire meet-cute romance.
Amidst a few twist and turn, the entire romance is smooth and detailed. I liked how Angelin has described her characters. Characters like Rhonda, angel Aquinas plays their part. I liked how the illustrations have been subtle and not overly elaborative. The story is short and leaves a happy feeling with the reader. Something that puts a smile on your face. Overall, I think this is a great effort from Angelin and I definitely look forward to read more from the author.

I just recently purchased this title after speaking with the author herself!

When Angels Dare: A Magical Tale of Finding Love was a very quick read and I finished it within in one sitting. Doctor Daniel Lewis Philips finds that his life is in the fast lane and even when he finds himself wanting to slow down, he can't bring himself to do so for fear of not getting to anything at all. He works for the emergency ward at St Lukes Hospital in Sydney, Australia and is a very busy man.

Galileo, Dan's trusted guardian angle, becomes aware of the fact that Dan is lonely and would like to meet someone he can share his life with, so he heads off to his friend's, Angel Thaddeus in hopes of finding a solution.

Galileo quickly finds that Thaddeus's charge, Guin, is perfect for Dan and the two angels begin planning ways for the two to meet. Eventually they run into each other and it all escalates from there.

I liked the short story for what it was. I do wish that it would have been a longer read and a bit more detailed. I felt like it could have been an entire novel, but was cut really short. Maybe Angelin Sydney would write a longer version someday ;)

Overall, I give When Angels Dare four stars!

I started reading this book after my friend's recommendation. I enjoyed the book a lot, but I wish it was a little longer. In the heart, when angels dare is a simple and emotional love story. The very idea , what happens when cupids (rather angels) have your back. The characters are nicely created, and even though it is a short story, you can feel for them. Dan, the cute doctor has my heart! I started to root for him as I was reading the story. But the story ended too early for my liking. I thought there was a lot of space for building the story line. So, I was a bit disappointed. The build up was great, and a little more could have been done with the characters.
One thing I loved was that this book has bonus previews of a couple of other books from the author. This was great because now I feel like reading all of them as well.

Ever wondered what it would be like to have a guardian angel to always look out for you?
Angelin Sydney's When Angels Dare makes that fantasy into a reality, despite it being in between the pages. It's a cute love story that revolves around a doctor, how he meets his romantic interest and eventually start falling in love. I almost read it in one go, and was left smiling at the end of it.
The story is a short one but heartwarming. It's best suited if you're looking for something to read on the go. I am waiting to read more such short stories from the author.

Quirky, humorous, and creative! I’ve been a fan of the author for some time now so I knew what to expect as far as quality goes and I can say When Angels Dare is just as good as her previous work. The story is uplifting with a romantic feel-good vibe (With a touch of surrealism with the Archangels) the only thing it’s missing is a bit more length – the ending is sweet but also a bit abrupt, though there’s plenty of teasers thrown in to make up for it

It was the best one hour read ever! It made me laugh and cry at the same breath. If you ever find an hour in your day that needs filling, this is THE short story to read.
