Prove you’re an American! Get implanted today!

The highest levels of the government believe Project Hermes is the best way to control America’s immigration problem. A simple microchip carrying a citizen’s information will allow officials to sort out who belongs—and who doesn’t. Harmless.

Unless the chip carries more than just information.

Agent Miranda Kruz of the Terrorism Task Force has reason to believe something is very wrong with Project Hermes. People are dying and the clues all point to a microchip implant. But Randi’s superiors don’t want anything or anyone interfering with their pet project. They’re threatening her job, her loved ones, and her life to keep her from revealing their secret. With the help of medical examiner, Vic Hammond, and electronics engineer, Jack Davis, Randi has to uncover the truth and make it public before anyone else is targeted for death.

Locating the madmen behind these executions will be hard enough—stopping them might just be impossible.

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this book and was very excited to get it, as I’ve read about it’s progress from idea to actual book on B E’s blog.

I usually read B E’s books over a weekend because I can sit down and just keep reading until I’m done. Unfortunately I started reading this on the Monday of an extremely busy week, so my reading was snatched in fragments of time. That said, however I found myself thinking about the story during work when I should have been concentrating of the invoice / receipt in hand, wondering what would happen next and how they’d get out of it alive.

Let me start at the beginning: the premise for the book is very current and controversial, and you know what? It could happen. It’s a scary scenario which I can definitely see happening in the future. The main characters were solid, their voices clear and their dialogue sound. Their interactions with each other & the other characters were realistic and believeable. The story moved on at a good pace, heading towards the expected climax but not losing impact along the way.

I was hoping for a more dramatic showdown, but maybe that’s Hollywood’s influence skewing my thinking, you know what I mean – all guns blazing. As it was, I think the ending was fitting and if there are to be any more books with these characters, I’ll be first in the queue for them. In conclusion, I found it an absorbing read and I’m happy to recommend it to y’all.

BloodFlow I'm becoming a big fan of B.E. Sanderson's books, whether she's writing suspense or urban fantasy. BloodFlow is a taut medical/political thriller that rides the edge of reality in today's tense political climate. There's murder, villainous politicians, and heroic investigators and doctors. I originally "borrowed" this book through Kindle Unlimited. After finishing it, I've added it to my keeper shelf and bought it because it's just that good. The climax had me putting eyedrops in so I could see well enough to finish the book. Yeah, I was up that late reading it! If suspense is your thing, read this book! (It even has a touch of romance for those of us who like our suspense with a side of that.)

A Fast-Paced, Thought-Provoking Thriller

BloodFlow dives headfirst into a chillingly plausible scenario where patriotism and technology collide with deadly consequences. B.E. Sanderson masterfully weaves suspense, political intrigue, and just the right amount of paranoia to keep you flipping pages well into the night.

Agent Randi Kruz is a fierce, determined lead, and her fight against a corrupt system feels both timely and terrifying. With sharp dialogue, a compelling cast, and high-stakes tension, this book delivers both thrills and food for thought.

If you're a fan of government conspiracies, fearless heroines, and stories that feel a little too real, this one's for you.

When this book arrived this afternoon, I sat down for a moment just to look at it. Instead, I devoured the book in a single evening! I couldn't put it down. It's fast paced, exciting, with strong characters. A little scary, since I can easily see something like it happening today. It's a medical and political thriller, yet there's no hint as to which political party is the villain.

Another great story from B.E. Sanderson!
