Ellie R Hunter is a writer now living in Norfolk having grown up in Cambridge, England. Incurable Hearts was her first novel followed by The Lost Souls MC series. She is an avid reader in her spare time and enjoys spending time with her family.
This book has a pretty good concept. I really like Pope, he is a badass through and through, especially on what he did in Biker Bait. I'm really happy that we were able to gret to know him as he rarely speaks. I also like that Ricky & Kyla’s story were included here it added a little spice in the story 😊.
The story has a slow build up but its still enough to keep the page turning.. Cant wait for Oak’s story. 🤗
I enjoyed this one because finally we got to know Pope. We have know him from the start but were given no info - he's the quiet one, the lethal one, the grunter. After reading Biker Born I knew there was more to his story especially about the woman he drove to her destination after witnessing what she did. What happened to Kyla was sad and maddening. Ricky was a real gem and just what she needed, and also what he needed. The "Britishism's" are still a part of the books so I guess that's never going to change. What did change for me because it usually does not bother me but this book was the worse for - was the editing or lack there of. I know that most independent author's don't have what the "popular" authors have at their disposal but please please please get someone who knows what they are doing Ms. Hunter - you are a great writer - but the lack of proper editing is ruining the experience for the reader.
I've been following this series. Every book has some serious editing issues. Such as shame because the actual stories have the potential to be rated higher. The verbiage is also off to me based on the fact that it's supposed to be a MC in the states but many of the phrases/words don't fit. I liked Ricky as a H and his support of Kyla during her struggle with beating her addiction. All of the characters are likeable.
Just wow 😁😄!! This story was awesome!!! The storyline and characters were outstanding and amazing!! Ellie is an amazing writer and storyteller!!!😄😊. I can't wait to continue reading 📚this series.
Another great addition to this awesome series. With it's unique storyline, interesting characters, secrets revealed, intense situations, angst, suspense, violence, and intriguing twists, this story will pull you in and not let go till the end. It was a fantastic book that you won't want to miss.
The reasons for the 4 stars was due to the editing errors and the huge cliffhanger at the end. The editing problems were mostly misspelled words, there were some sentences that had either words missing &/or the wrong ones used, which affected the flow of the story. I am not a fan of cliffhangers at all, unless they're necessary. (i.e. a long story that takes multiple books to complete, etc.) It wasn't as bad since the next book was already available, but it is not something that I prefer.
I first read this when it was released and its always good to reread books. This is a well written book, part of a well written series. It is worth while reading the first ones but not necessary. This is Kyla and Ricky's story, with her parents story running alongside. Its a typical biker story but with a little bit of difference to make it worthwhile reading. Throw in drug dealers, other MC's, intrigue and all the other requisites and you'll have a few enjoyable hours of reading.
4.5 Stars- The only reason not 5 is because there were a LOT of editing issues. It normally doesnt really bother me but there were so many.
This was a beautiful bounce back from the last book. I love Ricky but my heart belongs to Pope! He is just so sexy and scary. I was a little nervous about this story at first because I didn't want it to turn into some sappy soft story about recovery. Thankfully is wasn't that way at all. The author was able to tell a story about recovery without losing the biker badass-ness that I love so much. Can't wait for the next one!
This was an interesting MC biker book. The characters were unapologetic. You gets them at full face value, and if you’re scared? Get over it.
Pope, the h’s father, has to help dry her out of her drug addiction and he wasn’t super nice about it. The h makes friends with the H and I liked how that all played out.
Eventually Pope gets better with his daughter, and I loved how he is willing to put her word over the clubs and how he sets her up.
Not only do the H/h get a happy ending, but so does Pope, which was many years long over due.
Great series with the perfect mix of drama and romance. The stories seen to flow almost seamlessly and you get peeks of other main characters in each book. I love that Sally knew from day one who she loved and was devoted to. The plot to her and Kayla story is not one of undeniable possibility which makes the book even more enjoyable.
This has been a great series I've read everyone and they just keep getting better cannot wait till biker taken comes out .if you haven't read this your missing out you want be disappointed
This is a good series to read. The characters' stories are interesting varied and easy to read. I am now on book 7 and looking to finish the series. Check out Mark, Michael, Oak, Shade, and the rest's stories.
I loved the storyline, what I don't like is all the mistakes and errors and the fact the author makes the bikers sound dumb. I also wish the storylines to each book would go in order instead of jumping around in the years
This is Pope and his family's story. It touched home for me. Really enjoyed this story and I loved how Hunter showed the side effects of drug abuse from both the user and the users loved ones.
Again I really enjoyed reading this book. So much going on you can't stop reading. Really liked the ending and look forward to reading the next in this series.
