Inked is a full-length, standalone romance novel with steamy hot sex, no cheating, strong language, an HEA ending and NO CLIFFHANGERS. Contains dark and disturbing themes, and over the top sexiness that may be uncomfortable for some readers.
First off, the description is nothing like the book! Krishna is a mechanic for the club and Alex is the club tattoo artist. They fall into a forbidden romance together because the club disapproves.
Anyways! I found this entire book to be really frustrating! I really like kris and her whole backstory. I liked that she and alex fell into an easy romance together. I hated that the club was ultimately this thing that got in the way. These guys were serious aryan-racist-sexist-pigs. I found it entirely unconvincing that the president would hire her and then patch her into the club. Then turn his back on her two seconds later, even though she is stellar at her job. I find it hard to believe that any man wouldn't want to have an awesomely knowledgable, sexy woman working to fix one of their most prized possessions. She wasn't rude and she didn't muck up the job at all! WHY they had such a problem with her other than the entire club being a bunch of chauvinistic pigs is ENTIRELY beyond me. This girl is every guy's wet dream. Laid back, knows her way around cars, down to hang out and watch sports and have a few beers. WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH THEM?! THEY WERE THE ONLY PROBLEM THE ENTIRE BOOK! Also, last but not least, I feel like generally I fall in love with biker romances because the club is like a family. They have each other's back and respect families and children and significant others and they always take care of their own. Well, this club does none of those things. This motorcycle club sucks, I would never join it.

Overall this book has a good storyline. I liked the chemistry between "Kris" and Alex. They have an instant connection but they have a lot of roadblocks in their relationship. One thing that bothered me was they never used condoms. Seriously the first time we meet Alex we learn he sleeve around and he goes raw in the female he brought home the night before. When he gets with Kris the first time they have sex its unprotected and there was no discussion regarding safe sex or contraceptive. Outside of that I loved how Alex grew up, became a mature man, and took charge. And who doesn't love a strong, independent female who goes against the stereotypes.
There is a lot happening in this story and somehow you don't get the feeling you should cheer for the main characters. The writer is not putting you there. The heroine at times comes off as confused and a little weak. This was not the best M C book I've read and not the worst .I think the writer is giving just a little too much, when sometimes less is good.
There was a good basis for the story, however I just could not connect with the characters. The female lead was a little to weak despite all efforts to make her appear stronger. The male lead, while he does turn into a little better guy in the end, I could just not bring myself to like him.
This book is nothing at all what it seemed to be from the blurb and cover. I expected it to be a lot less detailed and plot oriented. The writing was pretty good and it was definitely a different take on the MC genre. Just not sure if I liked it. :(
Overall the book was okay. I felt that there could have been more. More grit, crime and risk...more passion, affection and sex between Krishna and Alex. I found it to be a bit of a light read, just left me a little bored and wanting more.
I enjoyed this story mainly because it had everything I like in a novel. A strong man, his equally strong woman. Romance, danger, power struggle, and in the end all is well.
I didn't hate it and I didn't love it. I really wanted to like it more, but I just couldn't get into it. The plot didn't seem real. Alex the main male character wasn't strong and Krishna the main female character let herself be walked on. Sorry, just didn't like it.
Love the interracial dimension Kris and Alex . I wanted more some parts dragged. So was a bit boring towards the end after all the being through it ended like a drag.
Krishna finds herself the head and only mechanic four the Ashes MC. Alex is the MC's tattoo artist. Alex finds himself falling for Krishna despite club disapproval.
