This collection is a great find since it contains the complete short stories and other bonus content that you can't find separately. I'll be reviewing the 4 main books in their own Goodreads page, so here is where I'll leave my inputs on the short stories:
Ondine #0.5 - 3stars 'cuz I felt the backgrounder lacking, although a look at Kendra's character promises a head-strong, kickass heroine. Rui also wasn't so bad for a side character.
The Gift #2.1 - 3stars although I liked the Christmas Murder Mystery vibe to this story, I felt like not all the "bad guys" have been dealt with. Though I did love the short Christmas lights scene going on between Tristan and Kendra.
Chevalier #2.2 - 3stars for not really taking out all the bad guys, since I thought they'd be facing of with the lieutenant of the city, though I guess you could only do so much in six chapters. Love the going-ons in Julian's head and it's sad that his feelings for her will remain unrequited.
Warrior Prince #2.5 - 4stars for now knowing why Tristan will always be the better match for Kendra. With Julian I know it's possible for her to have a future (especially once the War ends), but there's just something that runs deeper with Tristan's connection with her; also who doesn't love a man saying Kendra is no one else's property but her own. This prince has given his undying loyalty and immeasurable love for Kendra!
2.75stars Extra Scenes from Characters - A Son's Return (Eleri Belicoux), shows a mother's concern during the time Tristan earned his title as the Warrior Prince, it's a short a poignant POV in which we find out where Tristan got his love for Bach (3stars). The Appointment (Jeeves), comes from a younger Jeeves' POV and what made him decide to switch careers from Chevalier to Chief Counsel; we also get the idea of why he's seen in suits in the Quartet (3stars). Thick as Thieves (Julian), begins during the Billow timeline wherein he's in an undercover mission to infiltrate a group of nixes. Not much going on here and feels like more of a scene that had to be cut since it wouldn't add development to Billow much (2stars). The Cave (Tristan), is set during Crest in Tristan's POV, wherein he and Kendra have their first intimate moment together. Though honestly, from a guy's POV of sexy time, Tristan's mind is pretty mild compared to the same scene in Kendra's POV. Well, I guess that's Prince Selkie for you (3stars).
One Day (A Post-Breaker Short Story) - 5stars for that wonderful glimpse in the future! This truly is goodbye to the elemental world of Haverleau, though one can only hope for more after all, Tristan and Kendra have yet to undergo their own binding ceremony. Of course there's no rush for this lovely power couple!
A bundle of the first four works in the Ondine Quartet. This collection contains: Whirl (Book One), Billow (Book Two), Chevalier (#2.2: a Julian POV short novelette), Warrior Prince (#2.5: a collection of scenes in Tristan POV) Outspoken and independent, Kendra Irisavie has always played by her own rules. She's an ondine, a water elemental gifted with the powerful magic of Empath Virtue and trained to be a fighter. Pursued by Aquidae demons, she and her mother remain Rogue, hiding among humans to avoid becoming casualties in an ancient war.
