After the destruction of Michel, fellow Alchemist, Sarah, remained behind with Amelia. Marcus, a vampire who has risen through the ranks, is plotting a hunting exposition; hunt down and destroy all other supernatural creatures in the world. Along the way, Marcus inadvertently meets Sarah and discovers through her, he has a way into her world...a way to Amelia and the pack. He plans to use Sarah to his advantage, but what he didn't count on, what he did not see coming, was Sarah capturing more than just his attention.
With the test of wills, can Marcus hold true to his plans and keep his intentions with Sarah?
Will Sarah be able to tell truth from lies and keep herself, and her friends, safe?
When intentions become fatal, death could follow around any turn.

Always having a love of books and paranormal stories, I finally took the leap to begin writing with encouragement from my husband. Having worked in IT my entire career and finding my way to Central Florida, I spend free time writing new stories, putting together puzzles with my daughter or reading her children's stories.

I both loved and hated this book. I totally got a kick out of the continuation of John and Amelia’s story and was thrilled to see Sarah come out of her shell. I was upset about the schism between Sophie and Amelia. I loved Sophie in the first book Deadly Alchemy. If there is to be another book I want to know what happens to her. Fatal Intentions is filled with surprises and is a terrific read.

This book is in the most part Sarah and Marcus' story. Sarah is an alchemist and best friends with Amelia who we meet in Deadly. Sarah is starting to feel she needs to move on and away from the pack now that Amelia is settled with her husband and child. She wants a life and love of her own and she knows she won't find it where she is. Marcus is a vampire who is dragged into a war with the shifters he is not sure he should be fighting. He takes up with the necromancer Irina but she is just using him and all of the other vampires for her own gains. It starts with Marcus needing a way into the wolf pack to get to Amelia who Irina wants because of the cure for vampirism Amelia made. The story goes from here.
I really enjoyed getting to see Amelia and John again. Also to meet their new baby son. What grabbed me with this story was the family vibe. Although they are not really supposed to mix i liked on the whole how the alchemists and shifters all lived together and got on. Amelia was very worried for her friend Sarah when she came up with the plan to use Marcus and could see that Sarah felt more for the vampire than she should. After everything that happened with Michel i could see her point but she trusted Sarah to find out on her own even if she was worried. With Marcus his "goodness" if you can call it that from a vampire, shone through once he was away from Irina. The care he showed while courting Sarah made it obvious to see he was more than using her. In a way it was kinda sweet!
This story has a great build up to the climax which i was pleasantly surprised with. It's a slow burn building and building and along the way there are some pretty hot scenes also a fair bit of gore!
I would recommend this book to lovers of the paranormal and magical stories. I would suggest reading Deadly Alchemy before this.
Fatal Intentions picks up after Deadly Alchemy with John and a pregnant Amelia. Some of John’s pack is not happy with mating since she is not one of them, but he will not tolerate the attitudes.
We also meet James Maxwell, Amelia’s first miracle cure, who isn’t exactly happy with being cured. Thomas, who took over Michel’s spot as leader of the vampire coven, is a new player in the game as well as Irina, a necromancer who desperately wants to learn the recipe for Amelia’s cure.
Sarah is a fellow alchemist helping Amelia however she can. She longs for the love Amelia and John have. She meets a vampire of her own but with the recent history, she’s afraid to tell the others. Is she in for the same fate as Amelia with her vampire?
False accusations could tear the pack apart, even more so than it already has been. Monsters, necromancers, alchemists, witches, babies, kidnappings and transformations. Werewolves and vampires. One cannot live without the other, but who will prevail?
I’m in love with the continuation of this series and I’m hoping for more. There definitely is potential for more. I love the steampunk elements and the action, as well as the romance and steam. Keep ‘em coming, Julie, and we’ll keep reading them.
With Michel now dead, a new vampire leader has emerged, Thomas. But he's working with a necromancer, a person that can control the undead. Sarah, another alchemist, stays with Amelia and the pack since she's pregnant. The necromancer, Irena, wants to rid of all supernatural creatures, to do this, she needs Amelia since she is the one who created the cure. She tasks Marcus with this, but when he scopes out the packs home, he discovers Sarah. Knowing she's human, he found his way to Amelia. When the two meet, Sarah decides that she can use him to her advantage. Each with their own set of secrets and lies along with developing feelings, where will their loyalties lie?
Holy cow! I loved the first book but this one topped it! Suspense, fighting, love, sex, heartache, and murder, oh I just thought the vampires were sick in the first book, there were some pretty gruesome parts in this one. Amelia and John's story continues and this is also Sarah and Marcus' story. We are introduced to Irina and Amara, who you really want to kill yourself, and why they want Amelia. They are just as cruel as the vampires in their quest for the cure that Amelia has created. There are some twist to this story that I really did not see coming. I loved the ending and how it is open for more to continue.
Wowza! This series just gets better and better! If you haven't jumped on the Steampunk bandwagon, start with Deadly Alchemy (first book in this series). You get it all. Cool gadgets, amazing wardrobe with vampires and werewolves living among humans. Suspense is the word where this book is concerned. John and Amelia await the birth if their first...child? wolf cub? Not everybody in the pack is thrilled with their marriage. Add in Marcus (vampire) and Sarah's story and you stay on the edge if your seat. You will get a story that is riveting, fast paced and so good it will leave you wanting much, much more!
Deadly Alchemy is one of my favorite books ever,, when Julie said she was writing a sequel I was more than excited... Boy did she deliver... Amelia and Johns story continues and we are introduced to Sachit and Marcus.. Thomas is taking over where Michel left off..There are so many pieces to this book that by the way is very well written... We can't forget new comers Irina and Amara. They want the cure that Amelia has invented.. There is muck love, deceit, and gruesomeness delivered here with a powerful punch as a ending.. I hope Julie pick up on this one again.. Great "part 2" to my favorite Julie Morgan book..Kudos Julie, job very well donennnn
Excellent!!!! Fatal Intentions is the continuation of Deadly Alchemy. In Fatal Intentions, we are granted a view into the Vampire Coven, as well as seeing the Were Pack. The story continues with our favorites from Deadly Alchemy, John, Amelia, Adam, and Sophie. We are also introduced to Marcus and Sarah. Marcus is swoon worthy, and Sarah is feisty. Fatal Intentions is full of surprises, action, suspense and passion. Existing alliances are questioned and others are formed. Beliefs are tested and changed. Looking forward to seeing where the story goes in the third book.
We continue the battle between vampires and werewolves, where in this book it's the forbidden romance between Sarah, an Alchemist, and Marcus, a vampire. Lots of action, blood, and suspense. We also got a further glimpse at the lives of John and Amelia as well as other members of the pack. I had some difficulty with the flow of this book. A lot of the conversations seemed choppy and didn't blend well together. If you have a love for all things paranormal, Steampunk, vampires, or werewolves, then I think you'll find this an enjoyable read.
I found this book to be interesting. I was excited to learn more about John and Amelia. If you have wanted to learn more about Sarah then you are in luck. I was in suspense and surprised at every corner. I was on the edge of my seat many times. And if you thought the vampires were the worst, just wait. You will want to jump through the pages of the book and strangle some of the characters. I definitely recommend this to anyone who likes paranormal romance.
This is the sequel to Deadly Alchemy. It's the story of Sarah and Marcus. Sarah is an alchemist and Marcus is a vampire. John and Amelia are back also. They got married and are expecting their 1st baby. Well the vamps are still trying to get Amelia and the wolf is protecting her. I don't wanna tell ya the whole book, but if you enjoyed the 1st book, You'll love this one. Steampunk, Vampires, Werewolfs, Necromancers, oh my...
