I fight for a living.
Which makes finding a decent guy hard when you're a female MMA fighter. None of them have been my equal. I yearn for a man who can push me to reach new heights and challenge me. A man who will treat me like a lady then lift me up by my backside and impale me against the wall.

Any sane woman would. There seems to be more to Arson than the rumors that surround him, but will it make me fall hard or run for the hills? I know I've got no choice but to hold on for the ride. It's the main event and my heart's on the line But will it be the Final KO?

Reread May 2017
Another reread for me. I absolutely love Arson. He is one of my favorite heroes of all time. One thing I love about him is while he thinks he's not good enough for Rayne initially, he MAKES himself better. None of this push/pull crap and whining because he's not good enough. He changes and becomes what Rayne deserves.

Reread 6/22/16 Before starting The Final Chase

This is hands down one of my all time favorite books. It is still a 5+ star read for me. I cannot say enough about how much I love this book. Rayne and Arson are one of my favorite couples. I know I will reread it often. Now on to Cammy!!

Original Review 3/26/16

***5+++ Flowers and fucks stars***

I had been putting off reading this book because I was afraid I wouldn't like the heroine, that she would come off brass and bitchy as some female athletes are portrayed. However, I was in a reading slump and just trying out different books but nothing was holding my interest. This was on sale so I grabbed it up and decided to give it a try. Several GR friends had read it and suggested reading the bonus scene in the epilogue first so I used it as a prologue. I was hooked right from the very beginning. I. COULD. NOT. PUT. IT. DOWN. I absolutely freaking LOVED this book!

Everything about this book worked for me. Rayne was a terrific heroine. She was smart and tough, funny and kind. I loved how she enjoyed fighting but was also portrayed as beautiful and feminine. I loved her thoughts and how she didn't immediately jump on the I love you train with Arson and made him work for it. But she didn't push him away or act bitchy and irrational. She was awesome!

“He was turning out to be so much more than what I had thought. He was turning out to be the man he thought I deserved. I wanted him to be.”

“I love you Arson. I think I have all along, I’ve just been scared and didn’t see it. I’m not going anywhere. All I want is you.”

Arson was the OTT possessive dirty talking hero that I absolutely eat up. At first sight, she was his. He cleaned up his act and became a better person for her. It took him a year but he knew she was worth it. Told entirely from Rayne's POV, except for the bonus scene, I never doubted for one minute his love or commitment to her even though we aren't in his head. His words and actions said it all.

“You deserve to be treated like the fucking warrior goddess you are—beautiful, strong, perfect. You deserve a man that can worship your body all night softly, then pull your hair back and fuck you till you scream out in release, over and over. You deserve an equal in life, but a man to dominate you in bed. You deserve the flowers and the fucks.”

My only complaint is I wish Julianne had gotten what she deserved. I wanted that bitch to go down! There wasn't enough of a resolution there for me to feel completely satisfied. But, that is the only negative thing I can say about this book. However, as Arson put it, “No regrets, only lessons. I learned a lot of things, and even though I don’t ever want to go back to that life, it’s helped shaped me into who I am today.”

This will be one of those books I will read over and over. I'm glad I gave it a try.

“I plan to make you fall for me every day for the rest of our lives.”

“My future.” I marveled. His arms tightened around me. “Your future,” he confirmed”

I first saw this book when a friend added it to her reading list. I thought I'd go check it out and give it a try. And, man, I'm so glad I did! I never expected the story to be so good. The hero is to die for and the heroine wasn't even an annoying character. And that should say something, because nowadays that it's all what most writers write about. And it's freaking irritating!!! Not to mention unoriginal! So, yeah, it's safe to say I really liked this one. Hot characters that aren't immature and know what they want from life...what more could you wish for right? Oh, yeah, also the sex was off the charts! Loved it!

I am your fucks and flowers, Princess.

Now, let me just say that I want my own version of Arson (even the name says he's hot)!!! He's sooo sweet and protective of his woman, it's ridiculous! Once he saw Rayne, he completely turned his life around, to be the man she deserves. And I'm so glad he did! I'm quite sure, I wouldn't like him had he stayed the same person as he was before seeing her. He never gave up on her but unfortunately his past does come back to bite him in the ass. Big time! But don't worry, in the end it all plays out the way it should.

“I’ve lived and learned a lot. That’s one reason why I knew something was different about you. You were not of my world, but I still had to have you.”

As for Rayne, she a fighter. And I mean that quite literally. She making her comeback as a MMA fighter, after her last opponent almost ended her career. Now, she's stronger than ever but there is one person that just might break her. Thankfully she has an amazing circle of people that support her and let me just say, her mother is one heck of a woman that's also funny as hell.

“Were you masturbating sweetie? Your face is flushed. I’ll just sit in the living room while you finish your business.” Dead. I was dead.

Sure, there were ups and down but like in any relatioship that only means you either make it or break it. In the end, I'm really glad I gave their story a shot! The final KO is a wonderful read, with lots of sexy times and a plot that will leave you wanting for more!

"I'm your flowers and fuck"

When you're a female MMA fighter finding love can be hard. Some guys don't like the fact that you could kick their ass, while others like it a little too much. Rayne Jackson has given up on finding love, sot all she want's is a long hard fuck. But then Arson Kade enters her life and her priorities change. He tells her that he's the guy for her, her forever, and until she realizes that he isn't going to give her the fuck that they're both dying for.

This was my first book from Jessica Florence and I really liked the style of writing and the characters. There aren't enough books out there that have a tough female lead that's open about sex without being slut shamed, so this book was a breath of fresh air.

I loved reading about Rayne and Arson, and their relationship was definitely a unique one. When they officially met for the first time Arson already had feelings for Rayne and was just waiting for her to realize that he was the one guy that could keep up with her. I've honestly never read a book with a plot like this one and I think the shock of it was what kept my attention. There was a little bit of a mystery surrounding Arson and I liked how that kept the story intriguing.

But the unique storyline was also the downfall of this book for me. I didn't find Arson's feelings believable. The fact that he had been "in love" with Rayne for so long and stayed away was just strange and a little frustrating. Maybe if we had gotten his POV also I would have understood a little more, but as it was I just couldn't fully get into Arson.

There was a bit of a twist at the end of the story but it didn't work for me. When we got some new information of Arson, it didn't seem to go with the story at all and didn't flow with what was already happening. I liked how it ended but I could have done with that added drama.

Bottom line, this was a good story that kept me interested. I did have some issues with it while reading but the overall story was worth the little frustrations. I recommend this book for anyone that likes a tough heroine that can kick some serious ass.

My thoughts This book hit all of my like buttons and it became amazing. This is going to be riddled with spoilers so in a nutshell for those that do not like to read them you can get a jist of the major points.

Possessive protective and loyal H- Does the chasing. Came from a bad past to rise above.
Kickass strong h
overall limited angst and all from outside sources
No man or woman for h/H after they meet.

The h and her best friend are hilarious. I was laughing like a crazy person over a few of their one liners. Luckily it was late at night and no one could hear me!

The h is strong, she knows what she wants and goes for it with her heart and soul. Everything in her life is done with perseverance and dedication.

The H to be blunt had no fucking clue what to do with his life. He was adrift ever since he was a teenager just living each day at a time. He had no passion, very few wants and was content to just exist. Then he saw her.

Many that read my reviews know that it is hard to sell the I changed for her trope to me. I don't believe people change for others. This book is based off of that theory but I chose to take it another way. I believe that his h showed him another way of life that he never even knew that he could have and he was smart enough to grab on with both hands and fight for it.

I will be laying out basically the plotline because I think some of the people that follow my reviews will be turned off by his past and that would be a damn shame. So spoilers!

So overall I loved it because the H was all over his h. He told her he loved her and had been in love with her before they even met. He was super sweet.

OMGerd...this book was SO flipping good!

Loved the hero, he was sweet, and honest, sexy, and a dirty talker, all rolled into an MMA fighter..utter perfection!

I was a little worried going in about whether I would like this heroine because I don't love overly alpha type heroines, and that is how authors usually write these type of characters (female MMA fighters) I shouldn't have been worried though Rayne was tough, but also sweet, and vulnerable. Really a well rounded character.

I LOVED Rayne's best friend, and hopefully she will get a book?! The plot flowed nicely, and I never felt the need to skim or skip parts. The sex scenes were hot, and the angst was kept to the minimum.

My only wish was that the "baddie" had gotten her comeuppance in a way that was worse then she did. Overall though this was one of the best books I have read this year so far! :)

Pretty enjoyable read! I actually loved the hero. such a sweet , hot, sexy man! heroine I liked. idk at times she irritated me.lol Idk why. She grew on me though and I loved them together. I loved Cammy!

safety
both weren't virgins.
heroine was celibate for six months hero for one year(when he first seen her).
heroine is on a date in the beginning but nothing happens. She also has a date for a gala again nothing happens.
no other man drama. One thing that bothered me was when she was giving hero a bj she says normally she doesn't like the taste of cum then she she swallowed( of course she liked his taste) hero's. I was like ewww I don't want to know how many dicks been in your mouth and how many times you tasted and swallowed cum. haha that's me being picky. nothing compared to hero's past but we don't get anything other than what he did so I didn't get any visuals! besides he was too sweet!
hero when he first seen her was about to go on a date but once he seen her he cancelled it.
Hero's past is sad. When he was 16(he was homeless)an older women took him in and then took advantage of him. at first he says he was all for it but then he just got use to it. This older women got him into being an escort. normally I don't like that but it worked for me here. I didn't blame him. He didn't think he was worth anything! Some OW drama with this women. He doesn't want her though. it did bother me that he would still accept her calls to tell her he wasn't interested anymore. why couldn't he just change his number? Lol anyway it didn't last long.
condoms weren't use with them. I assumed they always used before but nothing is confirmed.

Loved it even more the second time around. My heart just broke for Arson and all that he'd been through. It was amazing the man that he became all to be worthy of Rayne. And Rayne is one of my favorite heroines of all time. She is fierce yet kind, loving and sweet. She needed a real man to stand by her side and Arson was definitely that for her. Can't wait to start Cammy's book. I know I'm going to love that one too.

Original Review:
This is an amazing book. Arson is one of the best Hs I've read. Imperfectly perfect. I also loved the h. She was so strong. The villain Julianne was horrible and deserved a lot more than she got. This will be a definite reread for me.

I liked the idea of the book better than the book itself.

Likable strong heroine.
But the poor girl was so often soaked and/or drenched – isn’t it a bit uncomfortable? *le giggle*

The hero was ok I guess. But WTF to his gigolo-past?
He was a MMA fighter and couldn’t stop to sell his body? *stupidacity*

With the second book of this series being released yesterday, there was a lot of chatter going on about this book. With a shove from one of my trusted cohorts (thanks Barbara) I decided to take the plunge with this story. Thankfully it was already on my reader. I could kick myself for not reading it sooner. I loved Arson and Rayne! Arson was smoldering hot, sexy, attentive, sweet, devoted, alpha. ....I want one! He had such a tough life and I felt for him. Once he saw Rayne, she was it for him. Love at first sight. He became a better man because of his love for her. Rayne was such a fantastic h. Being a fighter, I was afraid she was going to be too alpha. I don't care for an alpha female. She was not alpha at all. She was tough, but she had a soft girly side that you couldn't help but adore. Great seconday characters. I already bought the second book! I adored Cammie in this book so I hope that it continues on and we get another awesome H! This book hit the spot!

-no om drama
-a woman from H's past stirs trouble
-no cheating~they are so committed
-HFN ending (needed better epilogue)

**I normally knock off a star for not having a decent epilogue but I'm hoping we get more in the next story. ..or maybe another story about this couple ...hint hint

Overall Opinion: This was just ok for me. I didn't love it, and I didn't hate it either. It won't go down as one of my favorites, and I also don't think it'll end up being all that memorable in the long run. Did I enjoy it? Sure. It wasn't too deep, it had pretty low drama, and it was major instalove that surprisingly didn't tick me off. I'm sure many will love this, but I just wanted...more.

Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is Rayne and Arson's story. They meet at a gala that is associated with the MMA, as they are both fighters. The sparks fly instantly, and Arson immediately starts his really aggressive pursuit of Rayne since he is certain that they are meant to be. There is some dancing around each other, but eventually they start spending more time together and fall in love. There is a villain from Arson's past that shows up and causes a little drama, but they get a HEA ending.

POV: This was told in Rayne's POV.

Overall Pace of Story: Good. It flowed well and I never skimmed.

Instalove: Yes. Definitely for the H (he claimed to love her at first sight), and the h moves quickly in her feelings as well. I just didn't understand it with the H, but I didn't get annoyed with it either for some reason.

H rating: 4 stars. Arson. He felt like kind of a contradiction for me. He was sexy alpha manly man, but he was also OTT in his romance and feelings for the h (and instantly). I couldn't help but like him for the most part though.

h rating: 3.5 stars. Rayne. She was a strong, and surprisingly likeable character. I had some issues with her martyr act towards the end.

Sadness level: Low. No tissues required.

Push/Pull: Yes, but mild

Heat level: Moderate. They have some hot chemistry and scenes, but not so much it takes away from the story.

Descriptive sex: Yes.

Safe sex: Yes. Birth control and std status are mentioned. I don't remember any mention of previous practices.

OW/OM drama: Yes (major spoiler alert)

Sex scene with OW or OM: No

Cheating: No

Separation: Yes

Possible Triggers: Yes

Closure: This had decent closure with a cute jump ahead epilogue with a HEA ending. I wanted more time with them between resolving their conflict and the epilogue...but that's just me being picky ;)

How I got it: I paid the $2.99 on Amazon for it.

Safety: I'd say it is Safe for most readers

Two top mixed martial arts fighters duke it out between their hearts, an ugly past and fear of an unknown future. Arson Kade is a world champion, an infamous manwhore and eh suddenly shows up in Florida to declare to MMA female fighter, Rayne, that he is her future. Bold? Insane? Cavemanish? Yes to all, but Arson was also, drop dead gorgeous, charming and swears his fealty to Rayne, as well as his heart and soul. Rayne is taken aback, but must admit, this man is sex on a stick and going a few “rounds” between the sheets with him wouldn’t be so bad. Little did she know her world would be turned upside down by this self-confident man. Is Arson’s confidence a façade for the man he is behind the mask? How does he know Rayne is the warrior woman for him?

The Final KO by Jessica Florence is as hot as the Vegas sand and as steamy as the Florida humidity. Rayne is determined to make a comeback after a brutal fight that took her down. She is floored that Arson could really love her. Arson is at the end of his career, determined to go out with a win and plans on taking Rayne as his prize. Together they are like Mt. Vesuvius and Mt. St. Helen their romance is so lava hot. A quick read with some MMA tidbits and a lot of emotional upheaval, a great break from reality when more sizzle than depth is on the menu.

I received this copy from the author in exchange for my honest review.

I liked this book. It was definitely hot and had an even hotter alpha male which I always like. I always enjoy reading books with strong female characters which this definitely had. 'Arson' was a dream. Damn if only there were men like him in real life. Strong, dominating but also gentle and kind.

If you like strong main characters and equally strong 'sexy times' in books then this is definitely for you.

Great (fast) read. Read it one sitting.

Wow!

I'm not even sure where to start. There was so much I liked and just a little I disliked but the like definitely outdid itself! Sound crazy right??? Well it's what happened while reading this book. Let me start by saying I loved these characters so much! Well most of them. The chemistry was off the charts when it came to Rayne and Arson.

This was the first book I have read by this author and I'm gonna be honest here, the intro kinda freaked me out a bit. I wasn't sure where this was going but I wasn't sure I was going to like this book. Then I started chapter 1 and it was go time. My mixed feelings were running wild through this book but in the end I was so so glad I read this. I loved how much detail was put into this book. Most books I've read have a little bit of connection between the main characters and then something happens to put a wrench in everything, and then it's at the making up part and happily ever after. Not saying this book didn't have it's ups and downs but it definitely had a lot of ups. And since I wasn't used to so much time spent on characters building such a great relationship I continued to wonder when the other show was going to drop. I was very pleasantly surprised with this book and the events that took place. I didn't want to put it down. But I'm enough with the rambling and sorry if I didn't make a bit of sense in this review. Just know if you read this overlook the insta love feel in the beginning because it will throw you a bit but the outcome is everything! Can't wait to read about Cammy in the next book!

What a fast paced, love from first sight story!!
Rayne is a female MMA fighter, therefore its kind of hard to find a guy secure enough to rock her world. She is kind hearted, loves her fans, and just wants a sweet man who can dominate her as well. In walks Arson Kade, the definition of sexy as f**k manwhore. And when he spouts off that he is her "flowers and f**cks", and he wants her to be his for more then just a night...is this man serious?!?! Rayne can't believe he expects her to believe this. So she will give him one night of hot sex and then she will be out of his system. Except he does not want the f**cks without the flowers. Can she trust her heart to a man who had a different model on his arm daily?!?!
Arson is a male MMA fighter and top of his game. But he is looking for the after the fight life. And Rayne is it but she just doesn't know it. He will convince her. But will his past demons come back and destroy his future?!?!
Yes, yes, yes!! I love these two!!!! I love the story of Arson and Rayne. I even love the name play. I didn't even realize it until the "necklace". I love every single character. Cammy is like what every chick wants in a best friend. And coach omg I love him, I love when she imagined him calling twitter twatter. And her mother is so over the top but I love her too!!!! These characters make this one big family and I was ringside for the whole thing.
I wish I could have gave this 5 stars but some things just felt a little off but I love the concept and plot. And as I said before this book was believable and drew you in. I want Arson all for myself (he's going on my list of book boyfriends definitely!!)!!! Now on to the next book...I am sooooo excited!!

I think this book had great potential. I really liked the basic idea of the story, but something was missing. I liked Rayne and Arson and the pace of their story. There was some insta-love on Arson's side at the beginning that bothered me, but the explanation for his odd behavior was revealed, and it didn't seem too implausible.

I really liked Cammy, Rayne's friend and I am looking forward to reading her book. I hope that missing spark is there!

H fell in love with h a year ago when he saw her fighting in the ring. That's it. Never approached her in that time, never spoke to her or interacted with her. He just knew he 'loved her.'

I didn't understand/believe it so I couldn't justify giving TFKO anything higher than 2 stars.

Nice book. Loved all characters, loved the connection.
But when someone tells you they love you and they will never going to lie to you and show you that in act and word, you should do the same... Rayne was so wrong!!!

"We had a connection that couldn't be put into words. It was raw and carnal, yet passionate and sweet. It was something everyone searched for but few truly found."

Rayne is a MMA fighter training for her next fight against another female fighter who internationally gave her what could be a career threatening injury. She dates, but is finding most of the men she meets to be weak and not able to handle her world. That ends when Arson, a fellow MMA fighter with a player reputation, comes up to her at a party and informs her that he is her future.

This story was a lot sweeter than I expected it to be. Rayne comes off as a badass sometimes in her internal dialogue but can be a girly girl with her best friend Cammy. Arson is a romantic guy and Rayne loves it (can’t say I blame her)!

This is actually my first MMA read, and I thought the details were great. The author made Rayne’s lifestyle realistic and threw in some training but didn’t overpower Rayne and Arson’s relationship with the fighting.

There is instalove on Arson’s side, which I know some people don’t like, but there is a twist that I wasn’t expecting about Arson’s past. The ending wrapped up a little too quickly for me, but it was a good story with hot sex, so I can’t complain!

I would have enjoyed this book even more if it had been a tad more realistic. I loved the characters and honestly his bossiness was a total turn-on. The story did have potential, how often do you read about female MMA fighters? I liked it; it was just a bit wishy washy in the middle if you get me?

Anyway, great and FAST read because its so easygoing. Well done still

Arson is super hot and devoted. Rayne is a strong, capable lead. Together they are incendiary; volcano meets tsunami. I love instalove!

I loved both the H and h, and if I had read this book two years again I'm pretty sure I would have giving it at least 4 stars. The story its self felt choppy to me. Still good just not the best.
