A founding member of the Goddess Association in Australia, Cavendish lives in Sydney with her daughter and their menagerie of plants, animal companions, and spirit beings.
This isn't just a deck of oracle cards it is a book in its own right about the world of the fae. Lucy Cavendish is a beautiful writer and brings the world she sees and experiences to life for others. The artwork by Selena is nothing less than divine. Each card has an indepth exploration for interpretation. The card spreads she recommends are also new and fun to use.
An absolutely amazing deck! I love the book, Lucy Cavendish' insights and knowledge of the world of Faery, and I seriously LOVE the cards! Even the ones that didn't appeal to me much when I checked out the deck online are now beautiful because of the interpretation. For instance, Light the Darkness didn't appeal to me much. Then I drew it, read the interpretation, and was in tears. What a wonderful card! The Green Man cards, in spite of my pagan background/training, I never liked the Green Man. But reading that he's the heart of Masculinity.. Yes, that resonates! And now I find myself liking the Green Man cards. One of the best decks I've ever bought :)
I bought this mostly for the artwork (which was gorgeous) and passed it along to my neice as her first oracle deck. The images/energies of the deck were lovely although personally I have had more success with the oracle of the dragonfae, which is better suited to me. This deck is well worth it for fae-magic workers with brilliant insights both in Cavendish's exposition and in working with the cards themselves.
What a perfect combo for this creator and illustrator! I absolutely adore them both and love everything each of them creates! I’ve had this for awhile and still love it! Definitely recommend!
