Nico Dombruso has learned to keep the world at arm’s length after being badly burned by his last relationship. Even so, he decides to let himself enjoy a summer fling while on vacation in Italy. It’s just sex after all, so what’s the harm?
He gets so much more than he bargained for when he meets gorgeous, mysterious, art dealer Luca Caruso. The connection between them is undeniable, and for the first time in years, Nico starts to consider the possibility of trusting his tattered heart to someone again.
But when a secret is revealed that shakes him to his core and threatens to tear his family apart, Nico runs, so far and so fast that no one, not even the man who was making him believe he could love again, might ever be able to reach him.
This gay romance is approximately 95,000 words in length. It is the tenth book in the Firsts and Forever Series, but each book is written to stand alone, so jump in anywhere.

*** Nicolo and Luca met at 14 by the Italian fountain. *** Now, Nic, law student, vacationing with his Gran, and art dealer, Luca, are there again ! Fate has stepped in.
That first kiss had been in their hearts and memories, so when reunited, the spark flares to a full on fire ! Alexa writes an interesting story with all we could ask for. their barefoot Tango...
It's beginning is so funny, exciting and sexy, then we also get sadness, craziness, but violence, too. We get the whole gamut of feelings, comfort, upheaval, and pieces falling into place. An amazing cast of characters, from Nic's 80 yr. old Gran, to gangster hit men, to steadfast family, all make this so worthwhile. Luca and Nicolo are pawns in the Mafia family feud, even though they have never been involved in "family" business. Huge secrets are revealed. We travel from Sicily, to Rome, Venice, Malta, San Francisco, Tahiti, a sailboat getaway, and back to San Francisco. I loved this fast flowing tale, with wild goofiness, 6" heels on a scantily clad male group, to Gran's "gay" awareness demonstrations, and more.
These destined men are beautiful to watch as they rekindle, reveal, and have their emotions run full circle. I have not read these in order, but it hasn't mattered. Yes, there are a lot of previous characters, but it's a fun ride and each book stands alone. P. Cezanne painting... I am SO hooked on these fun stories. I'm looking forward to Jessie's and also Zachary's happiness. These are all wonderful, terrific, all around amazing tales. Highly recommend this story and any of the others. Alexa Land is a fabulous story-teller ! ENJOY ! ==================
Alexa Land's books are like potato chips to me. Once I open it I devour the whole thing! I know what I'm going to get and know I'm going to love it. Once again, everything you want from a Firsts and Forever story, romance, sex, ridiculous over the top fun and danger, and of course the happiest of ever afters, is all here.
As usual, half the fun is in figuring out who ends up with the main character, in this case, Nico Dombruso, the quiet, serious law student. As Nana, Nico and Jessie head off to the Dombruso home village in Italy, Nico's love story unfolds. As described in the story, imagine if "Bruce Wayne fell in love with the Joker's son" (because Romeo and Juliet would just be a cliched and boring analogy). The family really comes together in this one and there isn't just one HEA by the time you hit the last page. Someone we've loved for a long time finally meets their match as well and it's spectacular - or maybe just a spectacle!
As the extended Dombruso family continues to grow we're going to be lucky to get a holiday novella for two characters we meet in this story, as well as books for two of the sweetest, newer adopted members of Nana's family one of which I've been eagerly waiting for .
Cute and with a generous helping of funny. Still, there were the ever-present problems with Land's work: malapropisms, incorrectly spelled words, smarmy declarations that made the dialogue unrealistic, and one of my biggest pet peeves, timeline inconsistencies. When Nico and Luca first met, they were 14 and 16. But now, in the book's present, Nico is 26 and Luca is pushing 30.
There's a reason it's called basic math.
Still, it's a fun read. If you're a fan of Land's, and in particular, a fan of this series, you'll probably enjoy this book.
Wow. Um, this was not a favorite of mine at all. This book, it was good but it didn't have the pull the previous books in the series did and took me forever, at least 11 days felt like forever, to finish it.
I loved Luca and Nico and their fated love story. It was insta-love romantic and sexy just as it should be and yet, I didn't fall head over heels for the book.
Two main things bugged me and I'm sure it's my issue.
~Nana and her shenanigans. I'm used to the over the topness with Nana but this time around it was SO unbelievable. The woman, as it's stated numerous times, is 80 years old and the physical things she was doing took me out of the story. Where in the previous books, I looked forward to her scenes, I felt they were too front and center with this and took over the love story of Nico and Luca.
~Nico's height. Yeah, this bugged me and I am not sure why. I guess I just didn't read him as the six foot something of a strappy dude doing the things he did. To me, he read pocket sized and for some reason reading him as being tall, again, took me out of the story.
I'm weird and picky but what's new?
So...
Other than that, I liked this latest installment but it wasn't a page turned like the others in the series for me. I did enjoy the set up for the other books and of course I will read them, as all of those boys deserve an OTP HEA.
This series is filled with humor, and the character of Nana is always a treat, but All I Believe required a bit more suspension of disbelief (which I didn't think possible) to get through. I mean, I always read these stories with a healthy suspension of disbelief...but this time it just required even more.
All I Believe was also a tough one for me to get through for some reason. I'm not sure why, but this ended up taking me four days to get through, which is weird because a. it's one of the shorter stories, and b. I usually devour Alexa Land's books within hours. Nana is especially crazy with her harebrained schemes and shenanigans this go around, but none the less charming and enjoyable to read.
I loved Nico Dombruso, the EMT-turned-law student healing a broken heart and spirit. I enjoyed seeing him falling love with Luca Caruso and ultimately fighting for their love. I even got a bit swoony at their origin story!
"I wish I could have been your first, too. But if I'm very, very lucky," he said softly, "maybe I'll end up being your last."
If you enjoy insta-love romances with over the top zany situations and characters I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this series.
Another in the First and Forever Series. I listened to the audio book. This is a MM contemporary with main characters Nico and Luca. Love always finds a way. Will read/listen to more from this series and Author.
I don’t think I’ll ever quit this series. Even if Alexa writes 47 more books in the series I’m sure I will read each and every one. This has turned into a comfort read. I know what I’m getting into when I pick up an Alexa Land book. I’m going to laugh; I’m going to swoon and sigh and maybe tear up just a little. They’re feel good stories, even with the angst written all through them.
This installment of the Firsts and Forever series is Nico’s story. Nico is cousin to Dante and Vincent and the grandson of the ever-loved Nana. Nico has gone on vacation to Nana’s hometown in Italy with Nana and Jessie. Of course, the shenanigans start before they even board the plane (Bacon-Flavored Booty Butter, anyone?) and continue in true Nana Dombruso fashion. Once they arrive, we meet the gorgeous Luca and the sparks fly.
If I’m going to be honest I have to say this is not my favorite of the series. I never really connected with Nico and Luca. I never really got a good picture of Nico in my head and Luca seemed a bit… cookie cutter to me. That’s not to say I didn’t enjoy this story, cause I did. Just not as much as a lot of the other ones. Really, what kept me reading was Jessie. Even Nana got to be a bit too much for me in this one. Jessie, though… Jessie will always hold a special place in my heart and I have a pocket reserved just for him. Jessie, you get in my pocket right now, Mister!
So, although not my favorite, this is still a good, fun read and I recommend the series to those who like quite a bit of madcap humor in their romances. And guns. Can’t forget those. Nana would probably shoot me if I did.
The plots in these stories get more wild as the series goes on, but at least Nico Dombruso got his own HEA, and we had a trip around the Mediterranean thrown in for good measure. As for Nana, well I have to admit that the idea of a geriatric 80 year old sex bomb with a penchant for gay clubbing and pole dancing is a tad unappealing as far as I'm concerned, she's just waay OTT and at times I find her character irritating beyond belief but she adores her grandsons, and is at least extremely modern in her outlook. In most series, you have to search hard for the solitary gay person; in this one, it's like trying to find a needle in a haystack to find a straight person, hehe. Nearly every character is gay or bisexual, gets their own HEA (which is a lovely change I have to say) and finds twu wuv after an excruciatingly sweet story. Next up is Jessie's story, and that's good cos he's one of my fave characters. Mr Tremblay does a super job as per usual with the narration. 4 stars from me.
P.S. What would you give for the guy's eyelashes on the cover?? Assuming they're real of course, jealous enough to make you want to spit!! :D
I have grown to love this entire series. It is fantastic. Hot guys. Mafia types. Men with issues. Nana! Read in order. Another reviewer said this series is like crack and it is - the crack of books.
Can I give this one 6 stars? Nana and Nico. She is the best. Nico doesn't really like the path he has chosen but will not give it up. Luca needs Nico. There is love but there is laughs galore.
This is not Nico's first trip to Sicily.
My fourteenth summer was when everything changed. That was when Dad stopped living with us. It was when I heard my mom cry for the first time, and my brother started getting in trouble at school and eventually was sent to live with relatives in New York. It was when my sister started caring about her friends far more than her family and turned into someone I barely recognized. But our trip to Sicily happened just before all of that, and had come to symbolize the end of my childhood. It also encompassed my most precious memory.
This series says each is standalone, but I think you'll miss out on too much if you don't read them all. I don't think you can completely "get" Nana Dombruso, if you don't know the history. It's also confusing if you haven't met the other characters. The stories are addictive. There are sex scenes but you don't read them for that. You read them for this group of crazy, loving, interconnected families and friends. It's the largest number of gay family members you'll ever see!
This was just as warm and funny as the prior stories. Where else can you find feuding mobsters, a Romeo and Jules story, leather pants and bacon flavored lube, bodyguards in drag, a circus tent and a motorcycle stunt proposal for geriatrics? Only in Alexa Land's stories!
I don’t know if I like this series or if I find it boring. I guess what I really think is that the books are too long. 368 pages isn’t usually long to me, but with all three of the books from this series I have read, at about the halfway mark it becomes a drag to read. Which is particularly annoying because I like the characters and I wantto know what happens to them. Then I read a short she had for the series and I enjoyed the whole thing so much more. So, my conclusion is that the books are longer than they need to be. At any rate, I love Nana. She is like the Italian version of Aunt Tilly from the Made Marian series.
Ah, yay for Nico. He finally found his "fountain love". Alexa Land has a wonderful series and her latest, All I Believe is a great addition. Nico, Jesse and Nana head to Italy for a month long vacation and Nico can't get the kiss he shared with a beautiful boy out of his head. But what are the chances of him finding the same boy there 12 years later? Very good actually. But a secret could tear them apart if it gets out. Get the latest book in Alexa's First and Forever series to find out what happens to Nico. And Nana... She has a surprise or two in store.
I loved it. I really have been trying to wait patiently for Nico's story. I just knew he'd have a good one. I loved the chemistry between him and Luca. It was great to get the background on the feuding families as well. And as usual, Nana just took it all over the top funny. Though the identity of Luca was pretty predictable, there were plenty of surprises. Though there was just enough steamy times, the story and romance really dominated in this one.
I absolutely loved this book. There are many reasons for this but I will name a few. This author has developed a solid background for this series. The characters are believable. The main female character is someone I want in my life.
Each and every book in this series is fantastic! I recommend this series to all. Give it a read you will not be disappointed.
Nico, Luca, Nana and the Family, need I say more?! I loved this one and so much goodness happens in this book. I loved seeing the family again and I'm excited for the next books in the series.

What a surprise. Another Alexa Land book and another Five Star story. Did you catch the sarcasm there? I’m starting to think Alexa might have sold her soul or something, because her stories just keep getting better. Every time I say that I’m going to hand future reviews in the series off to other reviewers, a new one comes out and I’m jumping up and down saying “me, me, me”!
In this, the tenth installment in the increasingly larger series, we step back and sideways from the events in Coming Home, to the mysterious vacation that Nico, Jessie and Nana took to Italy. Although the vacation was mentioned previously, we never had the details.
In the Dombruso ancestral village of Viladembursa, Nico Dombruso got his first kiss from a mysterious boy a couple years older than him when he was only fourteen. Unfortunately after the kiss, they parted ways and he never was able to find the boy again, since he didn’t get his name.
Now it is years later. Nico has been shut down since the incident with his Ex and his former best friend, when the two cheated on him behind his back and ended up a couple. Now on the vacation, Nico plans to expand his horizons and maybe even have a quick fling before going back to law school.
But did I mention Nana is also on the trip? I literally was roaring out loud with laughter at some of the first pages in the book. Nana, being Nana, tries to smuggle lube on the plane…bacon flavored lube at that, and through Nana’s normal high jinx, somehow Nico ends up covered in lube, smelling like bacon and having to fly from San Francisco to Rome in the same clothes.
I loved the loss of his luggage, the dogs, and finally him meeting a nice guy. Luca is an art dealer who happens to be in town seeing a local gallery owner and sparks fly when Luca rescues Nico, not once, but twice from embarrassing situations.
All seems perfect. But remember this is the Dombruso clan. Nothing is ever perfect! Something has to go wrong…and boy does it! No more spoilers!
I loved this one, as usual. I very highly recommend that you all hit one click right now, and if you haven’t read the rest of the series, you should one click those as well. I can honestly say that every person I’ve recommended Ms. Land’s books to, has come back raving. Take my advice. Check her out today.
When you are crying tears of laughter and you haven’t even finished the first chapter you know you are going to be in for a good one. Alexa Land has brought everything you would expect to the tenth book in the First and Forever series and then a little bit more. It was fascinating to get a glimpse at the family’s history and old feuds that are still running strong in the present day.
Nico Dombruso has always felt a little different from the rest of the family and has tended to stay out of a lot of the drama created by his cousins. Even when dragged into Nana’s ridiculous schemes he always kept himself apart. After a break up that broke his heart he threw himself into a law degree and kept his head down.
Roll back a few years before his family split up and on the last family holiday they shared together Nico had his sexuality confirmed to himself when a brash young man kissed him by the fountain in a town square. He often thinks back to that moment and smiles and wonders what happened to the boy who kissed him.
When he arrives in the same old town with Nana and Jessie he is immediately drawn back to the fountain. Nico’s holiday isn’t going the way he imagined. From his lost suitcase to Nana shopping for him to a mad pack of dogs running off with his trousers Nico is way out of his comfort zone from the word go and it actually looks good on him!
With the story line laid out it was obvious who Nico’s new love interest Luca was going to be but really that was only the start of the story and there was so much more to come. Whilst Nana is off flying the rainbow flag and causing an immeasurable amount of chaos Nico is slowly falling in love for only the second time in his life. Luca seems to be struggling with something and isn’t being entirely honest with Nico but the mystery takes a while to come out and then all hell breaks loose.
The story pulls you straight in whilst old meets new. What’s in a name? Quite a lot apparently and some people have long memories and scores to settle. At the other end of the spectrum Nana finds a boyfriend and dear lord he is as mad as her! Imagine that – double Nana trouble! Absolutely great addition to the series and there is still so much more to come!
Alexa Land has outdone herself! This tenth installment in the wonderfully written Firsts and Forever series takes us to a surprising place. When you first start reading you probably will think it's going to be predictable who Nico's love interest is -- but it's not that simple. ;) If you have followed this series your mouth will probably drop open in surprise. Mine did! If this is your first book in the series I highly recommend that you read them all!
Nana is up to her usual adventures that will leave you in stitches, Tom Selleck finds a friend, and your heart absolutely breaks for Jessie when you see to the heart of him instead of just the happy guy we've gotten to know. I definitely can't wait to get his book in 2016! He needs his own HEA and I am excited to see who he is paired with!
There are so many things going on in All I Believe and yet it's told in a way that instead of feeling confused, it leaves you wanting more! The sexy time scenes are HOT! You've been warned.
I have to say, while I love a good series, by the time we reach book 10 I am usually over it. I mean, how can there be enough fresh material to keep my interest? This is absolutely NOT the case with Alexa and this series. My interest has not waned, it has only grown. Alexa pens a wonderfully humorous, sweet romance with plenty of action. Her characters are so well fleshed out and real that you cannot help falling in love with them, and become emotionally invested in them. The series is only getting better with each new novel, and I truly cannot wait for the next installment. (Jessie!). So very well done, Alexa.
I think this one is going to be my favorite of the series. I loved all the characters, the plot, and how the author handled the love story vs. the overall series plot.
Luca and Nico were a great couple with lots of feels and an amazing chemistry. I really like seeing some of my favorites-- Dante, Vincent, Gianni and it just needed Hunter to make it perfect. I just wanted Nico to have a chance to talk with his father.
Looking forward to Andreo's and Connie's story. I loved their introduction and what built between them.
The best secondary character in any series, ever. She finally gets some of the hot action this time. Even Tom Selleck gets a new friend. This book has it all, plus a circus. We get to meet many more characters of this crazy family and of course we get to here from some of our favorite characters. Alexa breathes new life into a series ten books deep. That's talent y'all.
I love this series!! Nico and Luca's story was brilliant! Nana and Ollie gut busting fun!! Each book gets better and better, my hands down favorite series!! Well done!!
Sigh...Alexa is my feel good author. A sign of a good book to me is how many times you want to reread it, and this will definitely go down on that list. Definitely 5 star!
Alexa Land’s pendulum storytelling style swinging from silly fun to romantic to deadly serious and back again is back in full swing. Overall this wasn’t my favorite couple but I enjoyed the book on the whole.
4.5 stars.... LOVED!! From page 1 to the last page I was all in on this book. I couldn't put it down. I absolutely love NANA. It has been awhile since I had read the last book of this series and I am so happy Nana made such a big contribution to this story. It was over the top hilarious. You have to love how Nico is so patient with his grandmother and just goes with the flow. It was quite the "visual" for all the clothing choices!! Nico and Luca what a great story!!!
This was very good read, I enjoyed their trip especially when Nico & Luca ended up going away together. The resolution w/i the family was a little anticlimactic. I guess I wanted more of a fight w/Jerry. Also, as soon as Connie showed up I knew he & Andreo had something smoldering and knew he wouldn't kill him. I see the next book is a novella w/this two & not sure how they are actually going to get their HEA in 66 pages & am hoping that it's just a teaser for their own book. Anyway my only pet peeve is that Nana is 80 yrs old & am assuming that her finance is around the same age & they are doing stuff that seem to be physically impossible for someone their age. But I do love her, she cracks me up to no end.
