I Was Sweetly Amazed!
As one reviewer wrote this was an interesting read...But what that person neglected to say was that it was a story about compassion, visions, and change. How even a God can change what is wrong with a way of life to create an new better way.
I received this book free in exchange for my fair and unbiased opinion and review...But I would have bought it too!
First story by tianna Xander called anywhere there's magic is about Kendra and Alaster is so sweet a love that has endured a decade
Smokejumpers 2.5 by Elle boon about cammie and Keanu had a moment of suspense that made me scream "omg" !! Cammie even says “Oh, my God. I’m happy I peed myself.” Mrs. Boon did not disappoint and the story ended fantastically although now I'm itching for smokejumpers book 3 and 4 to be released asap!
Blind side by ha fortman is about Chrissy and fenric has dire wolves in it! A story of a different reality. I wanted more of the story, I don't know if I feel it ended on a cliff hanger or just abruptly for my own taste

Walking in a wildfire wonderland by viola grace is a different type of read and interesting
Keanu and Cammie have easily settled into married life and are eagerly awaiting the birth of their first child, a son. Cammie is already on maternity leave as she is a week past her due date and Keanu, while hating that he has to leave her, is still on the work roster until the baby's arrival.
Keanu gets called into work and Cammie is getting cabin fever. However, as she's driving in rapidly deteriorating weather conditions, she goes into labor, quickly progressing labor. As if that isn't scary enough, she loses control of her beloved Jeep, Lightning, and that causes her to go off the road's edge and down a hill.
Thankfully, her beloved pet, LeeLee, races to her side and is able to keep her warm until help arrives. That help doesn't arrive in the expected form. Slater, a fellow SmokeJumper and a wolf shifter, is there only moments before Keanu. It seems Keanu, as he's unable to get a hold of Cammie, knew something was wrong and was given permission to leave work early. After arriving home and not finding Cammie there, Keanu leaves to find her. While driving, Keanu notices some things and pieces together what happened, then quickly calls his boss to provide backup, then goes looking for his wife.
Will Keanu make it to Cammie before the baby arrives? Will Keanu deliver his own son? Why did Slater ask Cammie how come LeeLee hasn't shifted? *Say what now? That's a little tidbit we didn't know about LeeLee.*
After being admitted to the hospital, Cammie's Dad explains about LeeLee's past and her shifting abilities, and he also reveals that Slater may be the only one that can bring back her human side. Hmmm...that definitely gave me only one explanation about what that likely means for them.
As the new family celebrates Christmas with their loved ones, we get to see Hal and Felicity again (love them) and it seems they have some news of their own to share. I highly recommend this story. While it's not necessary to read the previous books in the series, as Elle does a great job of mentioning enough to help you easily follow along, I do suggest you read them as to ensure the most enjoyment from this story.
Her Adoring SEAL by Caitlyn O'Leary
I love this series and am so excited to revisit it. In book one, Her Vigilant SEAL, Mason and his team are sent on a mission to rescue the Hildago family. Thankfully, they accomplish their goal. Unfortunately, the rescue doesn't come before Lydia (the heroine of book 2, Her Loyal SEAL) and her younger sister, Elsbeth, are beaten and threatened with rape.
Now the team is dealing with traitors within their own government's agencies that are trying to stop the Hildago family from testifying. Of course, this means you only can upon those you fully trust and one of those people is Jack Preston. Not only does he have the necessary skills to keep her safe, as well as an impressive service record, he also has a safe location he can keep her hidden at.
During their stay at Jack's family's ranch, it quickly becomes apparent that not only does Beth feel comfortable with Jack, which is a gift considering what she went through, but that they also have a very strong connection to each other.
After Beth is injured on the ranch, she and Jack have a very interesting talk about what their future holds. While things are looking brighter for them in that aspect, Beth is not safe from those hunting for her family. Of course, things can never be easy, right?
Jack and Beth need to find a new place to stay to keep her hidden, because Jack refuses to let her go anywhere without him and we're left wondering what will happen next. I highly suggest you read this story, this series. This is my favorite series by Caitlyn and I'm looking forward to book two, Clint and Lydia's story. Please keep in mind that this story is only a prequel of sorts for Jack and Beth. Their full story will be released in 2016. I can't wait to read it.
**I received a copy of this box set in exchange for an honest review.**
So I haven't read ALL the books yet, but I did read Elle Boon's A SmokJumper's Christmas and Caitlyn O' Leary's Her Adoring SEAL and I FREAKING LOVED BOTH OF THEM, so I am now going back and reading the rest that I skipped over. Now, Elle's book was fantastic! I loved watching Cammie give birth! Oh the poor woman couldn't of gone into labor at the worst possible moment, and to make matters even more scary and worse, she had an accident as she was going into labor! So much excitement in a little novella!I LOVED IT! Caitlyn's story was SO darn beautiful! Beth and her family were kidnapped and tortured and since the bad guys were still after them, they all had to be separated. Beth got to go with the sexy and sweet, and oh so protective Jack. Jack was not only protective and caring toward Beth, but understood where her fear came from because of his troubled path. I was also amazed at Beth's strong and courageous personality. Yea, she was scared of men, but she DID trust Jack with her and that was a beautiful sight to behold. I now can't WAIT for the next book! With both novella's being perfect, I am looking forward to reading where I left off and read the other sweet novellas that will no doubt be just as good as Elle and Caitlyn's!
I received a copy of this book from one of the authors in exchange for an honest review.
At this stage I have only read two of the stories in the series.
A Smokejumpers Christmas
It's lovely to read a small follow on of characters you've already found and adored. Reading about Cammie and Keanu awaiting the arrival of their sweet bundle of joy was, well, a joy. Reading that things are going well and getting a small insight into their future was great, the story was also laced with hints of what is coming next and keeps you wanting to read more in the Smokejumpers series.
Her Adoring SEAL
Beth is going through a difficult time, she's getting over the trauma she was rescued from. Suffering from PTSD she has difficulty being around and near anyone, especially men. Jack, having some know leg of what she's going through thanks to his mum, is kind and patient and understanding. My only downside to this little story is that it's a tease, it's a short story that ends abruptly and I just want to know how things work out for this couple and the hurdles they have to face, both personally and alone.
I received the book in exchange for an honest review. With that being said, the boom was on my to be read list. I started from page 1 with a new to me author - Tianna Xander. Anywhere There's Magic: it was sweet story with magic, love and compassion.
SmokeJumper's Christmas by Elle Boon. I was on the edge of my seat so to speak as Cammie was in quite a predicament as the labor pains started. Loved seeing family gathering and enjoying each other. Can't wait to see the stories unfold in later books. Don't worry, good stand alone.
Encore by Cheryl Dragon: This is another new to me author. I feel in love with Jenna and Sam. I hope that when I start digging I will find them in a story or two. Family can C be chosen and people can change. Love can conquer time and past mistakes.
Her Adoring Seal by Caitlyn O'Leary: I know you should not have favorites but this would be #1 for me with the others close behind. I didn't want the story to end. Was it because of Jack or Beth or the great chemistry they had? I saw Jack as a gentle giant until you messed with family. Can not wait until the rest of their story comes out in June 2016.
I picked this up because it had a story by Viola Grace, which turned out to be the last one in the book. However, since the stories were short, I decided to read them all, and did manage to find one new author I'd like to read. Most of the stories have a supernatural or paranormal aspect, but not all. Generally I liked the stories, but didn't find them fabulous, though I did really enjoy Grace's as usual. The new author I'd like to read is Elle Boon who had a story from her Smoke Jumpers series. I really liked the characters and thought she put together a solid story that clearly fell between books in the series. Yet I didn't feel lost at all. Now I'm planning to pick up the Smoke Jumpers.
Given that there are nine original stories and the proceeds go to charity, I think it was a good buy. The price wasn't high, I got a story from a favorite author, and found a new author to explore. I'm pleased.
I was given an ARC in return for an honest review. A great group of authors got together and wrote amazing stories. Some authors are new to me which I will pursue their books. My favorite stories came from Elle Boon and Caitlyn. I hope this is the beginning of more great stories to come. Loved it and would highly recommend everyone to read it. One more thing I would like to add is Trinity's story was awesome as well.
Just love all these stories.. Some of the authors I had never read before and now are on my to be read list.. As usual Ms Elle Boon, and Ms Caitlyn O'leary really deliver with their own individual stories... It is a must read.. You get to visit with old friends and make new ones... I was given an arc in exchange for my honest review..
If you like sweet short stories that are heavy on romance and light on sex then Romancing the Sweet Side is an ideal Valentine's Day book. As an extra benefit, all the proceeds One Way Farm, a shelter for abused and neglected children located near Cincinnati, OH.
There are nine stories in the anthology, ranging from paranormal to m/m, and includes cowboys, car racers, Gods, and more. All but one of the stories are complete within themselves. Unhappily, Her Adoring Seal, by Caitlyn O'Leary, is a lead in to a longer book, and ends with a cliff hanger. The stories are all well written, with interesting characters, lively pacing, and some intriguing elements in each of them.
The stories include: Anywhere There’s Magic by Tianna Xander: A Smoke Jumper’s Christmas by Elle Boon :Blind Sided by HA Fortman; Cherish Tomorrow Live Today by Trinity Blacio; Encore by Cheryl Dragon; Her Adoring by Caitlyn O’Leary; Second Chancers Club by Megan Slayer and Walking in a Wildfire Wonderland by Viola Grace .
Of these, Anywhere There's Magic, Blind Sided, Cherish Tomorrow Live Today, and Walking in a Wildfire Wonderland all feature paranormal elements. Sweet in His Arms is an m/m story about race car drivers, and both Encore and Second Chancers Club deal with women getting a second chance at love.
As with any anthology, there are high points and low points, but overall, every story in this offering was well done and well worth reading.
I have to say I was impressed and disappointed in this book. I was impressed by how each writer can capture your attention and get you so involved with the story. But the disappointment was not feeling satisfied with the story. I felt that some of the stories were way to short and could have continued. I think they could be called "teasers". I was happy to see that Caitlyn O'Leary was continuing with her story and will be available later this year. HA Fortman book was captivating and could continue as well. I really have enjoyed all the stories and it felt like fairytales. Even though I was both impressed and disappointed I did feel that the book offered a taste of each writers specialty. With proceeds going to charity everyone is a winner in my book.
I bought this book primarily because it has a Viola Grace story in it. YAY! Okay, Tianna Xander's story was excellent and made me want to read more. The surprise story, for me anyway, was Elle Boon's story. I have never read any of her work before so not only was her story surprisingly good, it made me go and purchase a few of her stories right away! As usual, Viola Grace delivered another amazing story!
