Fated Date Agency #8

Destiny's Passion

Rate this book
Stefan Nichols never doubted that he would end up with his fated mate. The cheerful young omega always knew the Fated Date Agency would match him with the perfect man for him. He's even saved his innocence for his future alpha. When Stefan writes to the agency, he's quickly matched to the first crush he ever had. Everything is perfect. Except...

Langford Segal is less than enthusiastic when he replies to Stefan's emails. The alpha doctor was already in a relationship when the dating agency opened. His marriage is based in pragmatism, and it's failing a little more with every rude comment his human wife makes. Things could only be better if Langford was with Stefan. But he made his vows, and he's a man of his word... no matter how bewitched he is by Stefan's omega charms.

Will Langford's fated mate tempt him away from his marriage? And if he does, will his wife let him go without a fight?

Destiny's Passion is Book 8 of the Fated Date Agency series. It may also stand alone as a complete 200-page steamy gay shifter romance novel with male pregnancy.

Guaranteed HEA ending with no cheating and no cliffhangers!

I'll be honest: I was shocked that I didn't finish this. I'm very into definitive roles for the top and bottom in Mm books, so A/B/O books tend to work well for me.

Here are the problems with this book:

1. Stefan was seriously obtuse. He was also a bit too peppy for me.

2. What the fuck was with his expectation and good aunt Shelby's encouragement that he break up a marriage? If your mate believes so strongly in the sanctity of marriage and his integrity won't allow him to break a vows, shouldn't that a) be something that you respect, and b) something that is actually impressive?

3. Kinda to the point above, but when

4. When the author/publisher says "Guaranteed HEA ending with no cheating and no cliffhangers!", I fucking expect a story with no cheating. I don't know what his/their definition of cheating is, but let me warn you this sure as hell fell under my understanding of cheating.

What if the Fated Date Agency matched you to a man already married? Stefan believes his fated mate should want to leave his wife and is kind of ridiculous about it.

This is the 8th book in the Fated Date Agency Series. This story is about Stefan and Langford. Stefan is an Omega and has just finished college. Langford is an Alpha and is a Doctor. Langford used to babysit Stefan when he was 14 and Stefan was 9 until Langford moved away. Stefan wrote the fated mate dating service to find his mate and found out that his mate is Langford his old babysitter. They begin to exchange emails but Stefan feels like Langford is hold back and is worried that Langford doesn’t want to meet him. When Stefan finally confronts him about what his deal is Langford replies back that he is sorry but he is married and has no intention of leaving his wife for his mate and doesn’t think they should meet. Stefan is heartbroken and can’t believe that his alpha didn’t wait for him and that he married a woman. Stefan wants to be an orderly at Spring Mount General Hospital, his dream hospital to work at. When he gets a job there he is thrilled. He is even more thrilled when he realizes that Langford works there as a surgeon and that he will be working under Dr. Langford Segal. Langford is in hell because his wife Nancy had seen his phone and his emails to Stefan and kicked him out of the house. He still wants to make his marriage work and doesn’t believe in cheating. However, if his wife isn’t willing to fight for their marriage then maybe he shouldn’t either. Langford begins having a relationship with Stefan and begins getting a divorce with his wife Nancy. It is doubly hard that both Nancy and her Father Damien both work at the hospital and that Damien is Langford’s boss. Langford and Stefan has been keeping their relationship hidden from everybody at the hospital. When Damien starts to suspect that Stefan is the one that ruined his daughter’s marriage he starts making Stefan life hell and so Stefan eventually quits and gets a job at a free clinic. Through in a fake pregnancy by his soon to be ex-wife and life definitely gets more complicated. I loved this book and all that Stefan had to go thru to get his mate Langford. I loved how honorable and responsible Langford is. I loved Stefan’s transgender aunt and how encouraging she was for Stefan to keep going after his mate. I couldn’t put this book down it was so good and I can’t wait for the last book in the series. I love this series and am sad that there is only one book left in the series. I can’t wait to see what Abraham Steele comes up with next. I definitely recommend this whole series. I received this free book in exchange for an honest review.

I was given this book for an honest review by Inked Rainbow Reads.

Stefan is an Omega who has waited to find his fated mate until after graduating college. He knows what he wants - a good job and his mate. His family is so supportive and I love his mom and sister. They are helpful and loving, stern and awesome.

When Stefan gathers the courage to contact the agency, he finds out that not does he know his fated mate, but his mate doesn't want to meet him because he's already married to a woman. Talk about a swift kick to the self-esteem and heart. I love how Stefan's sister does not allow him to wallow - she tells him to fight for his mate. His mom has a more diplomatic outlook, but eventually also says that he might need to nudge his mate.

Langford is older than Stefan and used to babysit his fated mate. Who knew the world could be so small?! Despite the shock of having been contacted by his fated mate, Langford is determined to stick to his vows. He and Nanci are married, they work together and her father is his boss. There are so many different things that could go wrong - plus, to Langford, his vows mean that he needs to try to make his marriage work - the marriage that he no longer really belongs in.

I think the most difficult part of this story, for me, was that Langford was bound and determined to stick to his guns, until he wasn't. Steele showed the reader exactly the kind of connection that Stefan and Langford share - it's steamy, hot and yummy. Despite Langford's naivety, I think that Steele was able to redeem that aspect.

I do wish that more came of the angst that both Nanci and her father posed. I found that their issues were swept up too quickly and they weren't drawn out enough for me - but, overall, I enjoyed their treatment throughout the story.

This was a great story but I wish that there had been more shifter aspects to the story. You catch snippets, but nothing was every truly discussed.

Here is book 8 of the Fated Date Agency series. This time, we are meeting 2 mates who knew each other many years ago (one was a babysitter for the other) and now they are all grown up. The biggest challenge? One of them is married!

Stefan is so excited to find out he has a mate. He is so excited when he finds out it was his crush from when he was younger. He is not so excited when Langford is not very interested in pursuing their relationship. He is uber confident and expects everything to fall in his lap just because he works hard for it to happen that way. Of course it does, so he never really sees that things aren't always so easy. That's part of his charm, though.

Langford is married and his father-in-law is his boss. Recipe for disaster if you ask me! He feels the pull of the mate bond, but respects the sanctity of marriage and the vows he took and doesn't want to leave his wife, despite the rocky marriage they have had. His wife has no clue he is a shifter, so he can't explain the mate bond to her.

Despite the challenges set in front of them, Langford eventually finds his happiness with Stefan and they find their HEA. There were moments that I thought seemed a bit rushed and unbelievable, but that's what fiction is for, right? Besides, it isn't like shifters are real so I can't really complain about believable! LOL

I am not a fan of cheating, so I admit to being a little concerned about that possible theme in this book. I thought the marriage/strained marriage part was handled well, and cheating was not an issue. Well, it was an issue, but not because there was actual cheating. It will make sense when you read it. :-)

Definitely worth a read and this one tackled the fated mate with a different spin.

Warning this is a MPEG novel and I wanted to put a warning for those who like it and those who do not.. I loved the way the author handled it in this book! Also this can be read as a stand alone. This couple just like the others in previous books in this series is different and you don't see the previous couples in this book so you will not be lost if you read this without reading the other books first.

Stefan has saved himself for his mate. He has just graduated collage and has been contacted by the fated mate agency with his mate's email. Well there is just one big problem his mate is already married to a woman!
Langford is a doctor at the hospital Stefan will be working at and he is also a Alpha wolf shifter. He is married but his marriage his not good at the point when Stefan contacts him.

Now I was nervous reading this book due to the fact that Langford is already married when he meets Stefan but I thought the way this author handled this was very good and I felt like it was handled perfectly.

I loved the way this author wrote these characters and this story!
You get your angst due to the wife Langford is separated and divorcing and the ex father in law who causes problems but you also get so much steam between these two men which was very hot!!!

All together I really loved this story and would recommend this book!

What a grand finale to a wonderful series. Longer than most in the series, this book is packed full of lots of drama! Who would have thought that when Stefan sent his deposit off to the Fated Mate Dating Agency, that his Fated Mate would not want to meet him? Langford never did sign up to the agency, so his surprise when he received an email from his supposed fated mate through him for a loop. Especially when he was already in a committed, long term relationship. Go figure! This has to be one of the best books in this series. The author has taken what should have been a straight up and forward book and added so many twists and turns that you were never sure if the two heroes were ever going to find their happy ever after. Very well written with characters you love to love, I found it very difficult to put this one down. It could have been twice as long, and I wouldn’t have had enough of these two. Loved it! Well done!

This is book 8 in the Fated Date Agency series. This book can be read as a standalone. I recommend reading them in order to understand the basic story inside the series, but it is not necessary. It is also a fun series to read.

Stefan and Langford have a history that only one of them remembers well. When Stefan hears from the agency about his mate, he decides to contact him right away. There are circumstances that may keep them apart. He decides to go on with his life and find a new job.

Langford wonders how he can have a mate, when he never contacted the agency. He has enough on his plate as far as relationships go. He does not want to mislead Stefan. If only he could stay away from him and resist.

This story is one of passion, friendship, and a little thing like fate. I found this book to move at a good pace and the characters just drew me in quick!

Will passion overrule everything else?
Langford has never really known what passion was until he met Stefan. Langford has been married for over a year in an amicable marriage. With him being a doctor focused on his career and with her a nurse it worked for them. That is until Stefan emailed him and told Langford he was his fated mate. Stefan just finished college to be a hospital orderly, found out he has a fated mate and believe all is right in the world, until he finds out his mate is already married. This has some very interesting twists and turns to keep your interest. Well written and entertaining to read.

Omg.. this was amazing.. This one went into deeper things then most the others... it had other issues come up.. more characters.. and even more hottness. I also loved that things werent easy for them. They had to try to make it work.. figure out things and life and other people all at the same time as loving each other. Amazing and i'm so glad i go to review it

Whoa, what a story!

This installment in the series is an emotional rollercoaster - conflict, angst, a nasty antagonist. I knew there would be an HEA, but I didn't see how the conflict would be resolved until near the end. I look forward to the next (the last) book.

This is definitely one of my favorites in the series. Lots of drama, good chemistry between Stefan and Langford, and I enjoyed this one. That woman who runs the Agency is a bit of a bitch though haha.

Sad to see this series is ending, but I look forward to what this author thinks up next!

3.5. Stephan was a bit selfish and was only concerned about his needs and not about the other people who were involved. I really didn't like him until the very end. The book was okay.
