Fifteen year old Isaac Race has already lost everyone close to him. He is about to lose a lot more. We all are. A mystery outbreak sweeps North America, it is chilling in both its speed and deadliness. The odd thing is though, it is only fatal to adults. Too late, it becomes clear to authorities that the virus is man made - a biological weapon - and that the United States is at war... a war it has already lost.
As his country is invaded and occupied, Isaac must help his ragtag group of survivors find refuge in a world turned upside down. A world full of fear and danger. A world where enemies can be friends and friends... worse than enemies.
Don't miss Scott Medbury's After Days, the dystopian trilogy destined to become a classic.
When book 1 was finished I immediately went on to book 2 hoping that it would be as good or surpass the other, no such luck. Then read the third book which did have certain aspects I liked more than others but still did not live up to all my hopes for the end of the trilogy.
The 3rd book did however manage to wind down the storyline that most readers probably expected to see come to an end sooner than later.
However the 3rd book also ended on a very emotional cliffhanger that proved to be not only unexpected but also left me with a lot of mixed feelings about even wanting to know more for fear of being disappointed once again.
I gave the first book a 4 star rating so in all actuality would probably think that the three together or rated at least a 3&1/4 stars total.
At the end of the last book it stated that there would be a 4th book but I am done for now and am going to read something in a different genre that has a lighter message as well as set in a different era.
Maybe someday may reconnect with these characters to see where their lives went from here, maybe never.
I'm the type if I find the beginning to slow or boring I will not read the book. I'm one that never could read Gone With The Wind for that reason! I telling you this because I never came across one boring page through this entire trilogy! The story kept me on edge through the whole books! I've told my 17 year old grandson about the read and for someone who doesn't read has not put the book down yet. I would suggest this read to anyone who are into this type genre. They will love it! Keep up the good work and I will definitely read more of your writings!!!!!!!
This book sounded promising and I got the whole trilogy so I could read all together. Unfortunately is fell flat and I DNF at around 20% By this point I found it dragging and became bored with it.the word 'supplies' had been said over 30 times by this point and not even half way through. Started getting on my nerves

Couldn't put this down read all 3 books in a couple of days recommended reading.
The scenario of this trilogy is something that could actually happen this makes the story all the more chilling. Its an adventure and a thriller all in one!
I really liked this book it was well written and kept my interest. It was a look at what could happen with the drones that a lot of people own. It would be relatively easy for some people to release air born diseases to destabilize the country. A good read.
I picked this series to read as a change from some of the more science fiction type of series. I was very impressed. The characters and story are believable and well written. The story did not disappoint. My only change (aka request) would be to know the outcome of Drake Mountain. Additionally, maybe hear the story of some others during this same time. Not every story is the same, lots could still be told!
I was plot unsurprised, I totally enjoyed the trilogy, well written, it kept me interested, it was exciting and a page Turner. I dug in the first book and before I knew it I aS in the second then the final! An adventure starting with one young boy that grew with sorrow and happiness. Then that one boy became a leader, created a community, fought a war , in the end a father! A great start t story!
Can't remember how I found this trilogy but I'm glad I did. A different take on an apocalyptic story but one that gripped me from the start and kept me reading long into the night. Highly recommend this book to anyone
I chose this rating because the series was an intense, suspenseful read. It kept me turning the pages for more. I would recommend this series for those that love suspense and thrilling stories.
What a terrific history book of people you could only hope to be
This series is so well we'll written, each just flows into the other. The characters become close friends and their joys and sorrows become yours. I would like this this to have been a generational series. Highly recommend.
