Politiquette

Rate this book
Partisanship is destroying the U.S. Whether you're an Independent fed up with your lack of representation in Washington, a moderate Democrat or Republican disappointed by the repeated failures of your party, or a Millennial whose disenchantment with our current political system has turned into apathy, you have options and the power to turn things around; in fact, we the people have an obligation to do so. But we can't change the current state of affairs until we realize that we're part of the feeding into the fiction of the "two party" system and fighting amongst ourselves, even as our government creates policies to benefit its corporate friends at the expense of people everywhere. While no one can do everything, we can each do something; our nation's fate in the new millennium depends on it. The first step is effective communication. The first step, is Politiquette.

I always wonder what goes through the mind of people like this, then I read their books and I instantly regret it. What makes someone fall down a rabbit hole of conspiracies. What makes a former vet totally turn against their fellow man to follow a crazy evil dictator?

And even after reading their thoughts, being i. Their head for six hours (it's how long it took me to read this book) I realize even more they are the villains of the story, there is no rational thought, just ugly flowing through their veins.

Books like this are just as dangerous as Serena Joy's book in the handmaids tail.

I actually resent this inane “guide” and thus the “writer” for wasting precious time in my life. Could not finish it.

Also, did not purchase it - someone left it on the steps of my NYC brownstone. Guess it was garbage after all.

The reading screams enlightened centrism that borders on stupidity. Also the author is insanely bigoted.

A guide to civilized political debate

A quick read that provides a solid review and tactics to surviving the world of political and issue debate, be it face to face or online. Nadia emphasizes a Socratic approach to debate with the goal to obtain understanding and truth versus trying to win the debate at all costs.
