This was an interesting sequel, and the cliff-hanger was cleared up pretty quick.

Piper continued on pretty much as she did in book 1, and seemed pretty motivated to carry on helping people to turn their lives around. There was some romance between Piper and Sloane, and we got a surprising revelation at the end too. On to book 3.

Another 5 ♥♥♥♥♥ for Trish

Just as great as the first book and wow! You have got to read this series. I could not put this down. It is nothing like anything else you've ever read. I was hooked from the very first sentence. I don't give spoilers but will say, I loved this story. I really enjoyed the new relationship with Sloan and some of the others that come in and out of Piper's post-life experiences. Ms. Dawson has a way of getting into the soul of her characters. It was really refreshing to read about the different assignments that piper goes on and having them all come across flawlessly. I think it gives the story a newness and variety that most stories don't have. I am completely in-love with Trish Marie Dawson's work. She is awesome. Trish, you have a new fan and I am looking forward to more!

CONTAINS SPOILERS. I loved the first book in the series and enjoyed this one but not like the first. There was a lot of ambiguity in the second novel. The novel lacked details and explanations creating a lot of ambiguity within the storyline. These details are ones that seem necessary, not only with Piper but with Jess as well. There were some missing pieces in regards to the how The Keeper would know that Jess and Cole would cross paths unless he had the power to manipulate time. There are missing pieces in regard to Piper and her abilities. She went from having a temper tantrum because she was being left in the dark to being content with leaving The Station. Something changed and she was enlightened some how, yet the reader was not, we are still in the dark. Another concern that was only very briefly addressed is that another person cannot make you happy. In all her cases, I was concerned because each character became emotionally stable because of another person - Sloan and Sally (although that was slightly different because she had to leave early), Abby and Donny, and Jess and Cole. It was with Jess and Cole that it is finally stated, "When a person is suicidal, distraction from the pain is good - but only temporary...the void inside her is not something any other living person can fill." Prior to that point, I was frustrated because the message that I was hearing was that boys can solve our problems, the fairy tale princess remedy. I take some issue with aliens having control of our afterlife, but that is irrelevant to the book. Aside from the ambiguity, the book was very good and very well written. I was entertained and intrigued by the story. Great concept! I will absolutely read the next installment. I hope it will fill in the gaps in this novel. The characters are strong and I feel attached to them. Thanks Trish!

Piper Willow's Story Continues

Am I the only male who enjoys her writings? Come on guys, she is an excellent writer. I know the stories are gauged for gals and the YA crowd, but it is time expand your horizons and give her a chance.

The travails of Piper Willow continue. First and foremost, I'm a heavy reader of WWII and non-fiction books. So, it's nice to take a moment and see what others are writing. Trisha Marie Dawson (no relation) possess an excellent writing style and voice. She carries the marked ability to paint a perfect persona of a teenager whose world came crashing down after taking her life in book one. Or has it?

Little Piper is still trying to figure out why she is at the "Station," and what her real purpose is. Is he destined to keep escorting children to their final destination or will she start assignments again? She thinks being with the kids would be a good gig until she's performing it. Unlike the adults, who meander around in a fog of uncertainty, the kids seldom stay for more than say a day. She finds the job extremely mentally draining and wishes to go back to the living and helping them overcome adversity.

To top that off, remember Sloan from the first book? Yep, he's back and Pipper finds a love interest she could only have hoped for on Earth. Talk about a mess! Well, she is a teenager and I think we can relate to those care-free days.

Now to really stir the pot, she and Sloan are sent on assignments at the same time. Here's where you'll have to read the book to find out what transpires. Some might see, others might not. Well done Trish!

In the end, is this book worthy of the YA audience? In teenage words. "Duh! This is fricking awesome!"

Ah, but the story will continue as Piper learns she is something different. Something or someone who see into the future and beyond.

I really enjoyed book one in The Station series, well I loved book two! The book starts right where book one left off. We learn Niles story, which made me sob, Willow & Sloan are reunited, although bittersweet. We learn a little more about The Station, above all else, we're given a great story. Trish's imagination is breathtaking, you must read the series to understand. I love the idea of the *volunteers* helping people on the verge of suicide. This book had a little bit of a twist which I guessed before it was confirmed and that just increased my joy in the storyline. Once again I feel this series would be wonderful for pre teens & teens. The topic of suicide is very delicate but handled beautifully by Trish. We're now Introduced to Rush, and I must say, can't wait for book three, I need to know so much more about him! Must read!!! Feel good book, truly enjoyed.

OMFREAKINGGOSH, WTH?!!!

I was so excited to read this book, I bought it the moment it came out on Amazon. I am so happy with it, but now I'm even more anxious for the next book...like, if it wasn't for the sneak peak at the end for Dying to Return, I would totally be flipping out (more than I am) right now. There was such a huge cliffhanger --- did I ever tell you guys how much I can't stand cliffys? --- and before I realized there was another page on my Kindle, I was like so pissed off at the author for doing that to me. I mean you just can't leave someone hanging like that! Let's just say when you read this be prepared to be left with more questions than answers. The origins of the Station are probably the most complex question I'm left with, as well as what's “ beyond”.
The book opens up where Dying to Forget left off, Sloan's arrival at the Station. Piper is so startled she shatters the slot for her volunteer case. But what's even more startling is Sloan remember's Piper. That's the thing about Piper Willow that has the “management” of the Station so interested and even a little worried, she leaves an imprint on her cases. She can impress her will on others, which makes her a great Volunteer, but that's not what the Station wants. Because of that, Niles places Piper is the “One's” building, which is where the children go to 'move on' to beyond. Piper does well at her job there but it's taxing leading children to the realm beyond, especially when such children are frightened and Piper can't tell them where exactly they are going. As Piper excels in her job and her relationship with Sloan progresses, things are put to a halt. A mysterious, glowing man appears at the Station to meet with Piper along with the Mentors. So as to prove their theory about Piper's abilities, they send her on a special case that lasts nearly a year.
When she comes back the mystery of Piper and the new, glowing man, Rush, deepen. Who is Rush, and why does he glow? And another, thing, Rush can read everything Piper thinks. He seems to be in charge of the inner workings of the Station, too. But there's more questions, as stated above, like what exactly is the Station, WHERE IS IT? What is BEYOND? Who created the Station, why, are there other stations? I could go on and on with all the questions that are nagging me right now. There's hints throughout the novel, but I believe the satisfying answers will be revealed in Dying to Return, the next book.
This book was really fun to read, and I love how there's multiple story-lines going on. When Piper is a volunteer, we take a break from her story and delve into the life of one who is suicidal. The author illustrates these feelings perfectly, and Piper is the perfect little voice inside one's head to console them and lead them to safer thought patterns. I absolutely (as if you couldn't tell yet) cannot wait for the next book. This is quickly becoming my new favorite series! So I highly recommend you guys read this series ---- like now! And if you do, and you love it as much as me, drop me a line and maybe we can bond over our love for the book and discuss theories!

Happiness is...
Finishing books one and two in a new favorite series in a couple of days.
Finding new favorite characters that make you feel like you have lost your best friend as soon as you finish reading the last page.
Finding a new favorite author.
So, obviously, I am in love love love with this series. The idea is different than anything else I have read. I cannot wait for book three.
Dying to Remember picks up right where Dying to Forget leaves off, with Piper seeing Sloan at The Station. While I was sad for the choice that Sloan had made I was super excited to see them together again. Piper is send on her longest and most difficult assignment yet, which just happens to be only her second assignment, and boy does she have her work cut out for her! I don't want to say too much in my review because I would hate to ruin any of the surprises and where the story line goes. Once again, I would highly recommend The Station books! Read them, share them with your friends, your family, anyone who loves to read! Too bad I have a Kindle full of other books to read or I would be re-reading them again!

Awesome second book, cannot wait for Dying to Return. Great series.

Even after reading this a second time I still think it is truly a great story and excellently, unique in it's own league. Hoping that it comes out soon, because I cannot wait to see how this story ends!

I loved continuing from Dying To Forget (The Station) to Dying to Remember (The Station) in this series. It made it that much more real to me and I was just lucky enough to be able to do so, when receiving both books back to back as this book flowed smoothly back into the story picking up where the first left off. I couldn't just pick up this book without reading them in order.

It was so good, so well written and flowed nicely, I couldn't put the sucker down!! I wanted so much to have it read prior to it's release date... I'm sorry that did not happen. :(

There was so much emotion and feeling put into these two books that I can't help that to feel a connection with the characters. They are well written and I love Piper! Sloan is amazing too... I will be picking up the next book as soon as it is available, there is no way I'm putting this series down!

If you are looking for a unique and a well planned out story, to be taken on an emotional roller coaster ride with Piper and Sloan, then you have to pick up Dying to Remember (The Station), if you have not read or purchased Dying To Forget (The Station) then do so now, it's a must read...and in order... If you are anything like me, I'm anal when it comes to reading series out of order!!! They both are amazing!

I loved every second of this book. I read it in a matter of hours because I couldn't put it down. Piper definitley took us on a bit of a ride in this story. She has some unexpected things come up that just threw me for a loop. I loved getting to know Niles and learning about his past. Hearing it made my heart hurt. I can remember that pain and those images he described so it just made it so much more. Sloan, oh wonderful sloan what can I say about him. He is well perfect for piper! I love their connection, and the hint of what can be for them.

THe ending killed me!! I wanted to scream out in pain and anger and at the same time I understood why.

Definitley worth reading. love this twist the story puts out there. I have never read a series like it before it truly is one of a kind!!

'I have received this book from the author in return of an honest review.'

I just have to say that after the cliffhanger I was left with in the first book of this fantastic series, Dying to Forget, I was overjoyed that I could go straight into it's sequel, Dying To Remember. And boy, I was definitely not disappointed! This is a beautiful love story of not just two hearts that find one another, but also of self-discovery and finding out just how special each and every person is and can be to not only themselves or family, but also to the needs of others. Sometimes we don't realize how our own decisions can change the lives of others, whether to help or hurt them, until it is pointed out to us and smacks us right in the face. We also don't realize just how much we need others as well until we don't have them anymore. This book, portrays situations that puts Piper right in the middle of everything; self-discovery, true love, the needs of and help from others that she didn't realize existed. She, of course, passes each test with flying colors, but not without a little bit of drama to boot. I love this book and series and just about fell out of my chair and dropped my kindle when I came in contact with yet, another cliffhanger that left me reeling for more. I can't wait until book 3, Dying to Return, comes out! Pat yourself on the back Trish Marie Dawson...another job well done! ~AC Wright, (WaAr)~ Dying To Forget (The Station)

Another brilliant ride on this wonderful journey Ms.Dawson has taken me on. I was not disappointed in the least, and the last page left me wanting more.

Connecting to these damaged characters is easy. I could feel every emotion as if I were in each of their shoes. I've laughed, cried, loved and threatened to slap one of them right out of her expensive suit.

Volunteers remind me of a sort of guardian angel. One who tries to sway a suicidal person back the other way, make them see the good in life and what the positives are about themselves when they are surrounded by negativity and doubt about their existance.

Piper is found to be a little different in 'Dying To Remember'. The mentors of the station and a very 'important' being have discovered Piper to have a little bit, uh...more, shall we say. I won't ruin it for you, but I will suggest if you haven't picked up 'Dying to Forget' that you need to do it now, and go ahead and pick this one up to save you a trip back after you finish the first.

This is a must read for anyone over the age of 14. Suicide is a delicate subject that most people want to avoid, but Ms. Dawson brings up the subject and makes it impossible to put down.

Don't pass up this series. It's a great one!

5 stars!

“Dying to Forget” left me in the lurch. I was both sad and excited to see the first book end. Now, Trish M. Dawson is picking right back up, wasting no time in getting into the next installment of The Station series with “Dying to Remember”.

I flew through this in a few hours. Again, the same winning writing style, only this time the reader gets to dive into more of Piper’s journey. Her feelings for Sloan, Niles, Kerry-Anne, Mallory, and the introduction to Andurush are all pushed to the forefront. So much is happening for Piper. I couldn’t put this down until I finished it.

Again, the twists and turns aren’t something out of left field, but I was stunned just the same. Things I should have anticipated, but I was still too embroiled in the storyline to think that far ahead. I was lost in each and every moment of this book, just like the first. More great writing that is funny, heartwarming, sad, and touching all at the same time. I sniffled, I gasped, I blushed. I felt. And that is what made this book so wonderful.

From a technical standpoint, the editing in this one is far better, and there were only a few errors that stood out to me. Other than that, Dawson keeps the pace and the momentum going, pushing the reader on to the end of book, which of course, ends in another cliffhanger. So many more questions revolving around Piper and Sloan, and a thousand regarding her relationship with Andurush. What will Piper discover in the beyond? What happens to all these characters that I am suddenly in love with?

All I can say is the next book better be out soon. I can’t wait.

Five out of five stars.

In the second book we find pit that Piper has an extremely rare gift and ability. With Piper's rare gift comes the unknown, tearing her world apart. I love how this series leaves you guessing and begging for more. The addition of new characters, Rush for example keep you on your toes. Can't wait to find out what happens when she returns to the station! WaAR

This was a great follow up to Dying to Forget. It took me less than a day to read it. Amazing story that grabs at your heart strings. I wasn't expecting the ending to this one. Again, having lost someone close to me to suicide and being someone who suffered with depression a lot in my teens, I related to this story so much. I look forward to book 3 in this series!! I highly recommend this series!

As soon as I finished the first book, I wanted to get my hands on the second book. When I received the second book, I couldn’t wait for even a second to start it.

This book continues where the first book ends and so we get to know many things and many mysteries and “big things” unfurls in the second book.

I liked the second book and enjoyed it alot but I didn’t love it as much as I did the first one. The second book was also amazing but I guess my expectations were higher though I’m not disappointed because this book contains many different and new mysteries about The Station and what is beyond it which I’m really curious to know. Don’t worry, I’m not going to spoil anything at all.

I love Piper more in this book. She’s not annoying or whiny like some typical YA heroines but she’s hopeful, curious and a bit stubborn but not in an annoying way.

I love her friendship with Kerry-Anne and how these two including Mallory care about each other. I loved the parts when all three of them would just sit together at the fountain and talk and talk like normal best friends. Except that they’re dead. I hope to read more of their friendship in the third book.

I also admired the connection between Sloan and Piper and their love for each other. Although I wasn’t into their relationship too much, I was curious to know about their connection.

Did I mention that I also the connection between Niles and Piper? I don’t think I did. I love that he was like a fatherly figure for Piper. It’s like she has her own family in The Station and that is so sweet. I love Niles. He’s such a sweet and kind person. <3

I admire the author’s writing and how she carefully choose the words that made the readers more hooked on the novel. The story was gripping and some shocking revelations left me stunned. The world that she has created is full of mysteries and secrets that makes a reader curious. Her writing style is commendable and how she expressed every single detail and emotion of Piper is applaudable.

There were some mistakes in the format I had and that actually made it harder for to comprehend some moments and scenes in the book but they could be negligible. Apart from this, everything was really good and I highly recommend the series.

I’m looking forward to reading the third and last book (I guess) in the series.

This was another okay read in the series, but I didn't love it.

Annoyingly, yet brilliantly typical of Trish, this book leaves us hanging - badly. When I finished this, I had to jump right on amazon and buy the next installment. That means I not only couldn't put it down but couldn't stop even when the book stopped.

I'm painfully waiting for the third installment of her Find Me series as I write this, I know other fans of TMD are with me here.

Without spoiling anything, this book is an amazing read. A great continuance of Dying to Forget, #1 in the Station Series - it elaborates on what happens to suicide victims and opened my mind ( and hopefully yours too) to other worlds and realms. This book kept me intrigued while causing me to think which is a wonderful gift Trish has.

READ THIS SERIES - you will not be sorry. You might find yourself thinking about all kinds of things you previously thought impossible, OR even - helped. If you've lost someone or been suicidal yourself, you've got all the more reason to read this series.

While it is fiction -it is mind-opening.

I loved the first book in this series and couldn't wait to find out what happened next. Now I did enjoy it, I'd be lying if I said I didn't. It had a good set up and I loved the world of the station but when they **SPOILER** brought the alien guy in and deemed Piper to be a seer I was like, this has got batshit cray. Again this book was way shorter than most books which made me feel cheated out of the money I'd paid (granted it wasn't all that much but it still counts!) I feel like all three books could have been combined into one, no point making such a small series. But anyway, I loved the stuff at the station, I enjoyed the assignments Piper had and I even liked that things were different when Piper was inside human heads, but the whole alien world thing, it was just so far fetched. I really want to read the next one, but knowing how insane it was starting to get and knowing how short the books are I just don't know if I can justify that spend to myself. As I said though, interesting premise, would have liked to see where it went

This review is long overdue. Dying to Remember is the sequel to Dying to Forget, an upper YA novel that deals with the hard topic of suicide.

This is never a nice topic. Ever. It’s painful. It’s serious. And chances are someone in your life has been affected by it.

I gave Dying to Forget 5 out of 5 stars for dealing with such a tough subject in a graceful way, and Trish Marie Dawson doesn’t disappoint with book 2.

Dying to Remember continues on right where the first book left off. Piper Willow is still our main character and she is still working at The Station. She has come to realize the gravity of the decision she made, and the author does a good job of portraying how sad a decision it was, and is.

We find out quickly that Piper isn’t exactly normal and the book continues on that story-line, opening us up for the third in the series, which will be released later this year.

Dying to Remember is a great sequel to Dying to Forget and deserves 5 stars.

I must admit, I fell in love with the first book in this series, Dying to Forget, but then I got to the cliffhanger ending and was left reeling. I had to have more, and I had to have it NOW! I received a copy from the author in exchange for an honest review.

After the stunning conclusion to the first installment, Piper is hit with metaphorical blow after blow. She's not just any Volunteer, but a very special one, according to Andurush. Her life, or rather her afterlife, have just gotten more complicated. And even though it all seems to sweet now, so wonderful, nothing will ever be the same for her.

Another great addition from an author I look forward to hearing more from. This series has made me laugh, made me cry, and made me smile- all benchmarks of a great series, and this story in particular left a lot more questions than it answered! I look forward to the third installment!

Another amazing book about the brilliant Piper Willow! This instalment follows Piper after she discovers that her first assignment, Sloan, is now at the station with her. Not only that, but he remembers her. Piper's afterlife is thrown into disarray as a series of revelations mean she may have to leave The Station, and everyone she cares about there, behind.

I just love this series, it's such an original and interesting plot. Like the first instalment, this one was extremely well written, and I couldn't put it down. I've already bought Dying to Return and I can't wait to read it!

Dying to Remember picks up where the first leaves off. There is no recap, and is a continuation rather than a separate story. Which was nice. The first story is free, so there's no reason to pick it up and read first... (links are at the bottom)

That said, I loved it. This book moved fluidly, with satisfaction in the character development, new twists and turns and deeper philosophical undertones. And again, the ending had me...

Dawson creates just the right amount of story closure and bittersweet longing for the next.

I bought this book immediately after finishing the first one because I had to know what happened with Sloan. But, I should have known the obvious happened and that was about it. We see more of Piper helping other people, which is kind of old news by now. We also learn that Piper is a Seer and that her and Sloan went on assignment together... Interesting. Once again, the book makes me need to know what happens next so I bought the new one. We'll see how this series ends up!

Compared to the first book, I feel like this one is a mess. I didn't feel all that connected with Piper. She has a lot of new 'challenges' in this story, and they just made me uninterested in her story. While reading these new ideas seemed forced, and like they didn't fit in with the story. A lot of the chapters I would have liked more detail on just seemed rushed to keep it under how many ever pages. I hope the series gets better, but I won't be reading it to find out first hand.
