Explore the World most astonishing and mystifying forgotten conspiracy theories. Not only are these possible cover-ups and controversial conspiracy theories fascinating, they will surprise you. Find out for yourself where the truth lies.
Everyone has that one theory they're absolutely convinced is true. Occasionally, we all stray from the generally accepted facts and - when we're eventually proved right - it's an incredibly satisfying feeling. While these theories typically revolve around the mundane aspects of our day to day lives, there is the occasional theory that goes a little deeper. When we move away from the ordinary and towards the powerful, the influential, and the important, these theories begin to take on an additional level of significance. When you suspect that more than one person is involved and is perhaps trying to hide the truth, you've uncovered a conspiracy theory.
But the idea of the conspiracy theory has, in recent years, taken on a negative perception. With many people quick to dismiss these theories as being strange, convoluted, and the product of people with too much time on their hands, they can often be one of the best ways to peel back the veil of miscomprehension and look closer as the actual facts in any kind of circumstance. While most people expect every conspiracy theory to link the Military Industrial Complex to the Illuminati, some are far simpler and far, far better supported by the facts.
In this book, we will examine some of the forgotten theories. We will look closely at those theories that run closer to the reality of modern life. These will include some of the most important events of the last century and some seemingly more trivial theories. However, the key tenants of each case remain the same. In each, the theory suggests that there had been a deliberate attempt to cover up the truth by a collection of individuals working toward a hidden, sometimes sinister goal. Read on and find out more about the world's strangest forgotten conspiracy theories.
This was interesting reading. There are all kinds of conspiracy theories out there. So harmless while others are dangerous. My key take away from this book is everybody can believe in some dark conspiracy. Do I have any conspiracy theories I believe, no. But I find them to be interesting to read about. This book tells of a few that can pique your interest. I had a small problem with the spelling in this book, but that was only in a couple of places like it instead of is. But who knows maybe this was some kind of secret coded message to the reader.
This is an interesting and at times rather fun book. Some of them have the ring of truth about them although because they are conspiracies totally proving or disproving them is not easy.
Of course in an era where we still have people believe that the Earth is flat, that vaccines are bad for you and other rather stupid beliefs like that then it's not surprising books like this on forgotten (or maybe just not very well known) conspiracies is not surprising.
If you pick this up expecting amazing insights you can't get anywhere else, prepare to be disappointed. I rate it 3/5 because there's nothing really wrong with it, just some stimulation you can get while riding the bus or something like that, and there's always the chance you might still learn something.
The conspiracies here have been mostly heard of, if you ever watched tv. The information given in each topic is very good and interesting. I believe anyone wanting something to kill time and see what some of these conspiracies are about would like this book.
Too short, felt like a high school student was given an assignment to finish in one day on a few conspiracies. Not many chapters. Simple, boring stuff you probably already know.
This is a fun book to read, but if you were hoping to have forgotten conspiracy theories it is not for you. Most of them you know for sure. Still, an easy weekend reading
A book that brings up some interesting conspiracies, although it might be argued about some of them being forgotten. Some of them are truly off the wall, but the real downside is when it starts becoming clear that the author more than a little buys into them. Having a clear presentation of the facts of a conspiracy is one thing but when someone leans too much to one side or the other it can be off-putting in regards to a book.
