Do You Feel Like Success Is Always Just Out of Reach?
Success has a different definition depending on who you talk to. A person can find success in many different areas of their lives. Success may also mean different things to you at different points in time. For some a great job and money is having success, while for others it's having a family and loved ones to share their lives with.
Whatever you're definition for success it's important that we always remember that becoming successful is not something that is achieved overnight. Instead, it is something we must work our way towards. Having personal goals and the proper mindset to achieve those goals, will make eventually achieving them and finding success a much easier thing to do.
Inside You Will
There's a lot of amazing ideas and tips in this book that you'll want to learn and incorporate into your life in order to achieve a successful mindset. This book will show you how to achieve a proper mindset and what type of positive impact it can have on your life going forward.
I wanted to read this book because I figured it would be a great resource that listed tips and tricks to guide me in adjusting my mindset to a more positive perspective. I got just that: lists. Essentially, the book covers common daily affirmations used to help motivate and inspire the speaker.
Gise briefly explains the rationale behind working to maintain a positive mindset, even in the most difficult of circumstances. He touches on the benefits of journaling, meditating, and (of course) using daily affirmations to help you remember and stick to your goals.
I gave this book 3 stars for a couple of reasons. First, there was a lack of detailed information that I was looking for when I picked this book up. It's short, sure, but I figured there would be more of an explanation as to how to go about incorporating these affirmations into your daily life - more of a how-to, instructional type book on how to actually change your mindset in steps. But, then again, maybe this is not possible: maybe changing your mindset is not a goal accomplished in a linear timeline, but rather something that happens with several moving parts at one time.
The bottom line is that the book was a quick and enjoyable read - I definitely came across a ton of affirmations that I had never heard of/read about before, and some of them I could definitely see myself incorporating into my daily routines. If you're looking for some examples on daily affirmations that could be beneficial to you in your personal life, this book is definitely a good resource, but I would suggest using it as a starting point for further research rather than the "be all end all" of changing your mindset.
