That's the number of women I've shagged in the last twelve months.

I'm Ryder Stevens.

Don't pretend you don't know me. I'm a god.

I'm hot, I'm British and I take what I want. I'm also the number one ranked tennis player in the world. But it's my off court antics that gain the most attention. I cruise through life, running from one scandal to the next. Hell I can't even take a piss without the world knowing about it.

Rules? Who gives a shit?

Rules are there to be broken and I'm the king of breaking them.

Even the king can be bought to his knees. I'm sidelined with an injury that changes everything. Then I meet Scarlett. She’s unlike anyone I’ve ever met.
Witty, feisty and beautiful, she puts her son first and will do anything to protect him, even things she might one day regret.

Now her past is back to haunt her and I'm about to find out just how far she'll go to protect those she loves.

Am I’m willing to put my whole life on the line for something I never thought I wanted?

Love.

Fantastic

What is about men named Ryder that makes the so sexy?

Ryder is an English tennis pro and a professed man whore. He is enjoying the company of three woman at his place when he steps out of the sauna and falls breaking is tailbone, forcing him to out his career on hold.

Bored and stuck in bed he decides to go through his fan mail and he comes across a letter from a seven year old boy who is very sick, who degrades Ryder for his choices and signs it your ex fan.

Intrigued by this letter he searches for a contact number and it is this call that would change his life forever.

This was a great read. I love the way the author took the character Ryder and changed him from unlikable to lovable.

I loved reading this whole serial.

Wow, Wildcard Volume One is a great read. It's a short quick read. Wildcard in book one in the Wildcard series and it has a cliffhanger.

Ryder is a top tennis player. He definitely is a womanizer. At first he comes across cocky and self centered but that might just not be the case. I wasn't a big fan of Ryder's until I read his explanation on why he does what he does. He whole thought process made me go wow that's an interesting take on things.

In a funny to read accident, Ryder breaks his tailbone. He has to take some time to recover. While on a break he reds a letter from a young boy. This letter is a turning point for Ryder. He calls the boy and ends up talking to his mother, Scarlett. There over the phone conversation are for the most part funny. Scarlett's son Jake has Cystic Fibrosis. Ryder through his connections, is able to get Jake into a trial for a Cystic Fibrosis treatment.

When Ryder and Scarlett finally meet, they seem great together. For once Ryder might want more then a one night stand. Then the ending happens. The cliffhanger at the end is crazy. I couldn't believe that happened. There must be a good explanation for that ending. I can't wait to read more in Wildcard: Volume Two.

Wildcard: Volume Two is part of a serial. It can not be read as a standalone. Volume Two picks up where Volume One left off. Volume One left us with a crazy cliffhanger. You know there has to be some explanation of what happened on the end of Volume One. We don't get the answers right away. Ryder goes off and Scarlett does explain herself right away, that was a little frustrating for me. I could not bring myself to believe that Scarlett would chose her dead beat ex over the awesomeness of Ryder.
Scarlett's ex is holding something over her and he don't find out what it is yet. My guess is that it is something big. Both Scarlett and Ryder have different ways to deal with her ex. either one know what they other one is doing when it comes to the ex. I can't wait to see how it all plays out in the next book.

Wildcard Volume Three is the third book in the Wildcard series. It can not be read a s a standalone. You must read Wildcard Volume One and Volume Two first. Volume Three picks up where Volume Two left off.

In this one all of the secret come out. We find out Tony has on Scarlett. I was surprised at Scarlett's secret and how it ties to Ryder. I thought the secret was going to be something completely different. Scarlett also finds out what Ryder did to protect her from Tony. Through all of the secret coming out Ryder and Scarlett have to work hard to keep it together.

I loved reading Ryder and Scarlett's story. It was great to read the transition of Ryder from player to falling in love.

The Wildcard serial is a great story.

Ryder Stevens is at the top of his game in tennis it all comes so easy for him and his not getting any satisfaction out of playing, what with fame, money and a different girl every night it all becomes to easy.
Then he forms a unusual friendship and life changes for him completely.
With Ryder angry and hurt he does what Ryder dose best looses off some steam but he cant get Scarlett out his head.
He returns to do a 3 week mentoring course in tennis for the young kids, when he returns to his hotel he is suprised when Scarlett turns up at his door and explains everything but Scarlett is still hiding a big secret from Ryder and he knows it has to do with her ex.

Communication is lacking in the relationship and with Scarlett doing what she thinks is best for her Jake and Ryder may not be what is best when Ryder takes matters into his own hands will there be big consequences for the pair.
Oh the point of no return for Scarlett and Ryder there communication to each other has hit it's all time high and Ryder knows she is hiding something that only Tony knows so he pays him off but with Scarlett trying to work it out on her own things crumble around her until she confides in ryder. Jake is responding well to treatment and life seems to getting better or is it?
A beautiful end to a fantastic series of books a full 5* given anyone would be a fool not to read this series

From the starting only I didn't like Ryder and I don't know why he think he shouldn't be judged based on media reports as it was all true.
Scarlett first shows really independent heroine characters but when she meets Ryder, her whole demeanor is changed and she get fully dependent on Ryder even though he didn't did anything to change his careless attitude except living with his parents for few weeks which was a very good deed?? Not in my point of view.
I thought Scarlett lost more points when even after Ryder humiliated her she not only goes to him for giving an explanation but also she forgives him just like that, even Ryder thought that she would not come back. The whole Scarlett's husband episode didn't even looked true and it was for only drama.
But 3 stars for the whole skype and message chatting between them which was really intresting....

This was an interesting series that I struggled with my rating. I loved the first volume. It sucked me in, great writing, good character development. Then comes Vol 2 and 3, when the story takes a turn and everything under the sun happens in a weird way. That's where the story goes downhill for me.

Wildcard

let me start with I have never left a review before so coming from me this was a cute book don't know if I would recommend someone to spend the money like I did. a lot went on in such a short book. felt like she was rushing to get everything out in the end. but over all I would give it a 3.5

Wildcard

Excellent story, Tennis player, Ryder thinks he can do whatever and keep going, never ending girls, bad publicity, just nothing touches him, his manager tries and tries. Till it happens, and he is reading a fan letter from a 7 yr. old, makes everything hit home! You will most certainly be amazed, will definitely touch your heart, great story!

I had quite an expectation for this book...which is basically the same expectation that I have for any sports novel. Unfortunately, it didn't come up to par to the standards I have for this genre. Probably because even with tennis as the initial premise of the book, it didn't really cover that much of the game. It was more of a backgrounder for Ryder.
