Best-selling author Hank Hanegraaff puts on his syndicated-radio-host-hat and reveals 150 of the most intriguing questions and answers from his popular Bible Answer Man radio program. Arranged thematically, the questions touch on everything from life-issues, to theology, to Bible trivia. All 150 of these most frequently asked questions/answers are indexed by both subject matter and scripture reference.
Hendrik "Hank" Hanegraaff, also known as the "Bible Answer Man", is an American Christian author and radio talk-show host. Formerly an evangelical Protestant, he joined the Eastern Orthodox Church in 2017. He is an outspoken figure within the Christian countercult movement, where he has established a reputation for his critiques of non-Christian religions, new religious movements, and cults, as well as heresy in Christianity. He is also an apologist on doctrinal and cultural issues.
Good primer on Apologetics but could be better the answers to questions are too brief and concise. I recommend all of the Answers books or the How Do We Know The Bible is True books 1 and 2 by Ken Ham.
Excellent little resource of biblical based answers to questions. The author keeps the answers brief by providing additional resources for further study.
One drawback is that there is no index so the reader has to look through the table of contents to find a particular topic.
As has been commented on, this book is written to provide short answers to Biblical questions. While I don't agree with some of the author's conclusions, that he bases upon scripture, I would hope that anyone reading it would use his answers to do their own research.
His interpretation of most of the answers are from a "Calvinistic" approach to scripture. While I also take that approach, I found some of his answers to be from "pop" theology point of view. Many of today's radio speakers take that approach.
Because of the great Biblical "illiteracy" in even the Christian community, mostly because many do not read the Bible but leave it on the coffee table, I would hope that any reader would use this book as a starting point in search of answers to Biblical questions.
I do not consider myself a theologian but I would not allow the short answers given in this book to be the 'last" word to Bible questions.
If you like listening to the Bible Answer Man radio broadcast, you'll love this book. Hanegraaff answers some of the most difficult biblical questions in concise, easy to remember terms.
So many questions I have are covered. This book opened my eyes to what it means to follow Jesus the way The Bible intended us all to, with Scripture and Divine clarity.
